We had a wonderful stay at the Santa Comba cottage! The garden was absolutely beautiful and the communal pool was a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The location is perfect: just a few minutes' drive from Ponte de Lima, where we found charming shops and delicious restaurants. We particularly enjoyed dining at the Açude Restaurant, which is only 1.7 km away on foot.

Carlos and Maria make sure that you feel right at home. They like to tell you what the best places to visit are, where you can eat well and are always ready for you, just for a chat. Maria occasionally brings nice fresh eggs, fruit and vegetables from their own estate. The cottage is small, but fully equipped and is cleaned weekly. Plus is that there is also a washing machine, especially if you are a little longer there. The estate is beautiful, you imagine yourself at a resort. On the estate there is another house, so you 'share' the environment with other guests. The pool is beautiful and also suitable for small children. Being a dog lover is a must, because the 2 cute dogs who walk around like to come along for a hug or a dog biscuit. In terms of environment you have everything in the neighborhood. Culture, day at the beach, adventure or walk through the forest everything is about half an hour away from the house. We have in any case enjoyed the holiday very much.

Friendly, welcoming owners, who speak Spanish well, are also good at speaking Spanish. Only the woman speaks English enough. Location is difficult to find and detailed directions can be entered via Belvilla or GPS coordinates in a navigation system. Indispensable. The beds are hard and relatively narrow (but the latter may be just one plus for young couples).

The grounds on which the houses are located are heavenly, the owners Maria and Carlos are very friendly and helpful. Maria regularly brought us eggs from her own chickens and string beans from the vegetable garden. You have to like dogs, because there are also three small adventurous dogs who came to visit us regularly, but listened carefully when we sent them away. We made friends with Pascale, Fred and Bart. The area is not touristy and beautiful if you like peace and quiet. There are beautiful trips and there are also many opportunities for beautiful walks. The kitchen is small, but almost every day we went somewhere to eat a nice fish at lunchtime. With pain in our hearts we left for the Netherlands after 2 weeks.

Very quiet with nice pool. We had a good time with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Everything you need is there. Only not very suitable for tall people. And too little to do for adolescents. The bed is Poor and very small. Low kitchen block. Because it is cool in the evening it is a shame that you do not have a nice living room. The garden furniture is somewhat outdated and small. fun for family with 1 or 2 small children. For people who love the beach this side of Portugal is not very suitable. Very cold water. Well nice coastline. Porto and Vigo (Spain) are very beautiful cities and very worthwhile. The coast of Vigo is slightly warmer if you still want to go to the beach.

A lovely house within beautiful gardens. There are two rental houses and the house of the landlords. The landlords are very nice! A beautiful pool with sunbathing area is also part of the complex. We came with a dog. The whole property is fenced. The three dogs of the landlord family got along very well with our smaller dog. For someone who doesn't get along very well with dogs, the rental houses are rather nothing. We can recommend the house with a clear conscience. Two years ago we went on vacation in the other rental house and this house was really good.

Casa da Adega fully met our expectations and needs. A lovingly maintained property in which history is visible is a small aqueduct, remains of an old stone walls and large rolling. The owners live on site and it is very nice they gave us all sorts of tips and information. Nice base for fine towns in the area.
