The holiday home does not match the representations in the offer. The photos were obviously taken when the house was new. In the meantime, both the house and the pool are significantly more overgrown. Additionally, on the property where the homeowner also lives, chickens, several cats, and dogs (the latter in a fenced area) are kept. This was not so bad for us, but it would have been interesting to know that beforehand. The condition of the house was, however, unacceptable, so we left after two nights and booked another accommodation. The house has a massive moisture problem (2 air conditioners and a dehumidifier were already running with over 70% humidity displayed), and we were met with a strong musty/moldy smell that could only be temporarily dispelled by hours of airing out. In the living room, one wall was already bubbling, all window seams were infested with mold, as were the tile seams in the bathrooms and even some of the floor tiles. The owner denied that it was mold (since chlorine cleaner didn't help), but for us, the situation was clear. We feel consciously deceived by the offer here, as the deficiencies in the house and the differing condition compared to the offer photos are obvious and were also documented with numerous photos to Belvilla. Belvilla initially refused a refund. After a lengthy back and forth, about half of the rental price was finally refunded.

We felt very comfortable in the well-equipped holiday home. Great pool and relaxing quiet. Pedro was extremely helpful both upon arrival and in finding the somewhat hidden house, as well as with shopping tips. Always gladly again!

The promised view was totally missing. We couldn't see more than 10 feet. At the pool were 4 wooden sunbeds with very thin cushions. Some maintenance both inside and outside is necessary.

The air conditioning worked well, and we appreciated the clean and well-maintained surroundings. The nearby restaurants were delicious, especially O Cabeço, just a short walk away. Although the villa was nice, I felt it could use a bit more decoration to feel cozier.

The location is close to beautiful beaches and we even explored some local monasteries. Just a little note, the supermarket is a bit far at 2 km, but we managed. The house is very nice and quiet on a hillside plot with a lush garden and both sunny and shady terrace, a few steps below the well-kept pool area, which is hidden from view (the water is surprisingly warm even in October). The house itself is well equipped, bright and spacious - but more suitable for 4 than for 5 people. We liked it very much. And Pedro is very helpful.

We have been very well received by the homeowner who speaks very good English. After a short tour, the house, which is located on the property where the owner lives, is completely from the tenant. There is a lot of privacy. It is very quiet, a nice view of the valley and the wooded hills around it. The house is very comfortable and if there is a problem, this is quickly resolved. The pool had a pleasant 25 degrees for this period of the year. There is plenty to see in the area. Alcobaca has a beautiful monastery, a very interesting wine museum and good restaurants. In a radius of 30 km you also have Fatima, Tomar, Batalha etc. The sea is also not far away, Nazare, Sitio, Sao Martinho do Porto etc. We have enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful, modern holiday home.
