On the day of arrival we were called and we could get the key at the apartment instead of Malinska, which is further away. Finding the house was a bit more complicated, the best thing is to navigate to the GPS points instead of the street name. The owner who lives on the ground floor received us kindly and gave a good explanation about the apartment and the island. She speaks great English. The apartment is very neat and clean. The apartment is actually exactly as in the pictures. The balcony was fine for us, but for four people probably a bit on the tight side. The view from the balcony, on the other hand, is very beautiful. You look over the sea to Rijeka. The village of Omisalj is not very big and the least touristy on the island, a nice tip is to go for a swim at the beach where you have a view of the Krk bridge, here it is not very busy and you have a nice view.

Owner had contacted us on the day of arrival to let us know that we were allowed to drive to the apartment itself and not to go to the address of the key. Friendly lady, speaks English fluently, immediately explained the apartment. Apartment is new and exactly as the pictures show. Owners live on the ground floor, first floor are 2 apartments. View from the terrace is towards the sea, with the refinery on the left and the airport on the right. You are not bothered by the refinery, only the view is a bit of a shame.The planes can be heard landing or taking off outside, but depends on their flight direction and do not bother very much Environment is not super touristy, but pleasantly quiet, no mass tourism. there are not many people and where you have ample space on the water, there are even bays where you can park your car close to the beach.
