Beautifully situated in the Vosges mountains, in the midst of beautiful countryside, a welcoming house (80 m).
Small river nearby (fishing) and Cascades du Gerhard 2 km away. The friendly owner lives on site. Great walks, fishing, etc. In Val d'Ajol: swimming pool, bike hire and tennis court. Riding centre 8 km away. Don't miss the village Christmas market. Strasbourg and Colmar are an hour and a half away! Ideal for nature lovers and gourmets! In Girmont (1 km): night-time walk every Friday evening in July and August, with local produce. Nearby you will find footpaths, ponds and rivers for fishing. Palombières is a spa resort with a casino 12 km away. The Chanoisesses town of Remiront with its Venetian carnival and water pan is 15km away.

Reception was very hospitable and warm. The accommodation is good, in a wonderfully quiet place. You can enjoy hiking in the area.

Our son 4, fond of everything that wheels under it, if the owner-farmer with the tractor, just around the block. That night he dreamed to be! about nothing else then also farmers

This cottage is in the yard, actually in the driveway of the owners. Owners very friendly cottage small and dusty

House is a typical French style. Large cozy kitchen, small lounge where you can sit well with 6 adults, but children or pets playing or not fit anymore. We were there with the Christmas holidays. There are no curtains so there was quite a bit cold by the windows, with wind and frost, the farmer is to make curtains. We have great meaning to us had pretty well marked hiking trails directly from the cottage, 5, 7, 10 or 12 kilometers. Nice excursions to Balon d'Alsace, Gerardmer and La Bresse where much snow, even though it was too hot. Val d'Ajol 5 km has an Inter-March, Super U and Aldi also some nice little shops. In Girmont itself is a bakery with artisan bread. We will definitely come back.

The house itself is completely fine. We do find the house a bit dated compared to the description. The shower is downright manageable. You are not staying on a beautiful estate, as the description says. The cottage is in the owner's yard. There is little privacy. The owner has two large white shepherds and they run loose, including the grounds of the cottage. They are friendly, do nothing and yet it is a bit crazy. We enjoyed French charm, but again: the description and the photos on the Belvilla site are in need of an update.

Beautiful area for walking. Outside on the farmland. R nLosstand house with large kitchen, small living room and upstairs 3 bedrooms (all with queen size bed) and bathroom with shower tight.

The cabin was equipped with every possible electrical device so that was convenient for cooking, clean, nicely decorated, ideal for hiking in all genres, trips to larger cities also doable, baker 15 'walking distance, anyway we enjoyed!

Superb cottage on farm. Beautiful walking area. Everything you need is in the house. The downside remains the shower. Fantastic owner which really helped us during the holidays is when we got a serious health problem. Advice to travelers make sure you're the French language, are at least well served by all the right address and insurance details to hand.
