What a treasure! The proximity to the Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges was a big plus for us. We spent our days hiking and returned to enjoy the cozy interior. The kitchen was well-equipped for our meals, and the kids loved the garden area.

In the winter you a 10 minute walk, skiing. At home time in the Jacuzzi with views over the garden. For small children there is a swing and seesaw and a large lawn. We had a great vacation.

Beautiful wooded area and you can make lovely walks directly from the cottage.

It is a clean cottage and there is a friendly manager who also speaks German, which is handy if your French isn't that good. We had nice weather in the first few days and later rainy. There is a beautiful lake near Kruth with various activities. A bit further at Le Markstein (beautiful route with stunning views) there is a kind of bobsled/sled track. In case of bad weather, there is an indoor swimming pool and bowling alley in La Bresse or museums in bigger cities. In the evening, you can light up the wood stove in the cottage. There was a modern TV where a laptop cable could be connected. If you download movies at home, you'll have a "cottage cinema" without annoying commercials. There is no Wi-Fi, but sometimes it's nice not to have internet, after all, it's vacation! The sleeping arrangement with the bunk bed had changed, and it was now a room with two beds, possibility for a 3rd bed and even a small TV.

A beautiful veranda with a super large picnic table has also been added.

From the cottage, there are plenty of beautiful routes/roads in the area, so it's also recommended for motorbike enthusiasts.

We haven't seen everything in the area yet, so it's worth repeating.

The cottage is part of a group of houses of the same owner. There is a lot privecy, but you do not feel alone. Stay of a week with the whole family (2 adults, 2 young children and a dog) in this chalet conducive to rest. The setting is great, in the heights of Ventron on a very large green lot bordered by forest with the stream below. The rental is very well equipped, we only had to put down the suitcases. Beautiful house, wonderfully quiet and surrounded by natural beauty and forest. Winding brook and Vogelzang is the only thing you hear here: blissful. The area is breathtakingly beautiful, wonderful for walking or touring by car and to visit picturesque towns such as Colmar. A surprising mixture of French and German culture. Recommended!
