We enjoyed the great house. We also had a great time at the Océanide Center in Fontenay-le-Comte, and a day at NaturZoo de Mervent. Also a day at Le Grandéfi. We have "saved" a frog and a salamander from the filter well of the swimming pool. Despite the pet weather, we took a dip in the pool. The area is beautiful. It takes a while to find a restaurant and shops. Finally we came out. In the Super U and l’Eclair in Fontenay le Compte Closing fantastic house with beautiful decor. Thanks for the presence of books, CDs and DVDs. The welcome sweets are much appreciated. Also the presence of kitchen roll and toilet paper. Overall a wonderful week. Very nice house with great pool. Secluded, very quiet. The bakery is at 6km away. Beautiful surroundings and nice trips to La Rochelle and Ile de Ré.

The house is very beautiful! The pool small but quite cozy. Located in a quiet neighborhood, just a little too quiet for us.

We were received very nicely by the caretaker Sylvie. She is French, but if you cannot figure it out completely, she links it back to the Dutch-speaking owner. We have stayed in the house with our daughters, their partners our granddaughter of 1 year and 3 bearded collies. The house is tastefully decorated and you really lack nothing. The swimming pool with its cozy seating area and the fantastic spacious garden are the icing on the cake. Around the house you can walk in peace with the dogs. The coast is easily accessible (50 minutes to La Rochelle) and there are nice towns to see in the nearby area. The abbey in Nieul is also worth a visit. In short this is a fantastic stay

A true haven of peace! Thanks to Tom for his welcome, his kindness and his availability. We spent a wonderful week in his superb house. The swimming pool is magnificent. Ideal for resting, rejuvenating! We will surely come back!

We were very warmly welcomed by the proprietor, the cottage was beautiful with every bedroom a bathroom this was super !!! The area is very rural, so the dogs enjoyed the walks. Still, we were on the coast very fast. It's a shame that the weather was a little less so we did not enjoy the swimming pool. Only the nails at the pool are very dangerous for both children and adults, something should be done here. I think they are meant to capture the sail in winter but suggest to cross rubbers in the summer.

Nice and quiet location with a beautiful home and a small pool. A nice playground for the children and for our dogs there was a nice lawn trimmed to run. In the house were all present. Only the supermarket was a bit far away. A holiday for people who love peace and beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Worth repeating.

Very nice house, nice space around it and a nice pool. Inside it is fully equipped and very nicely decorated. The house has a nice veranda where you can eat outside or just not want to sit in the sun. The large garden where you can play with your children or dogs or sit under the trees is great.

Furthermore, it is wonderfully quiet here.

So definitely recommended

It is a very picturesque house. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom with toilet and a common toilet in the hallway. Spacious kitchen with necessary amenities, large living room with large table that we did not use due to beautiful weather. We have used the terrace with large table to eat and play games. Beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers, sun and shade spots, then a large garden for kubben or other tuinspelen.Bakker is 10 minutes by car, very beautiful towns in the vicinity.

The whole place looked very good on the internet, and to our surprise, it really was! We enjoyed the pool, the covered terrace, the very complete inventory, the availability of two bikes and the table tennis table. Also very nice was the fence around the pool, well safe for families with little ones.

What a little palace! I have not seen an old barn renovated with such taste before. This could be in the famous TV programmes!
And then that garden: what a space and what fun for the children to play, besides the swimming pool, of course!

The area is very quiet, you have to love that, of course. For a busier, larger place you have to take the car.

We were unlucky with the weather but if it had been nice, it would have been a top holiday!

Beautiful house with lots of space and attention to detail. Functional pool, covered patio, practical barbecue. We enjoyed tremendously with four small children. Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. play and play games together, no WiFi and no Dutch TV: delicious!

Super spacious house on a very deserted place so peacefully. Cows around the corner, corn on the other corner. Pool is fine for children from 4 to 10 years, ie. Not super large and is totally fenced. Nearest shop is about half an hour. Kitchen is equipped with everything and in excellent condition. Garden is very large and also piece together with other house but if you do not want you really are totally independent. So house and surroundings must.

Lovely house. Beautifully restored, clean, fresh and with plenty of room. Handy with small kids. Beautiful large garden, beautiful pool terrace. All safely fenced pool with a separate gate. Covered car parking inside gate. Pleasant furniture inside and out. Ample crockery, glassware and cutlery. Owners very friendly. We find this home a must.
