Nestled in the heart of Flaine’s iconic “snow bowl,” this charming 3-bedroom apartment in Les Portes du Grand Massif blends alpine coziness with upscale comfort. With a fully equipped kitchen (ceramic cooker, oven, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher), spacious living area with a sofa bed, and three serene bedrooms, it’s ideal for families or groups. After a day on the slopes, relax with a hot shower or soak in the tub before watching the snow fall from your private balcony.
With a ski piste right across the street and a free ski bus nearby, hitting the slopes couldn’t be easier. But the adventure doesn’t end there—bring your furry companion along and explore scenic winter trails or join seasonal dog sledding experiences in the Flaine area. Several cafés even welcome dogs on their terraces, making your pet a true part of the holiday.
While the on-site restaurant takes a seasonal break, the surrounding area brims with alpine eateries. Try hearty Savoyard specialties like fondue and tartiflette in Arâches-La-Frasse or après-ski delights in Les Carroz. Whether you're cooking in or dining out, this chalet is the perfect base for snowy escapes and memory-making moments.
Note: The restaurant at Dormio Resort Les Portes du Grand Massif in Flaine will be available from Saturday, December 20th, 2025.

This stunning, four-star residence is located right beneath the mountain pass towards the Flaine bowl. Built in an authentic chalet style, this resort offers the most spectacular views and also acts as an exceptional starting point for an exciting day of skiing in the winter or a day full of hiking and biking in the summer. On the other side of the road, there is a piste that you can follow to the nearest ski lift. You can return by taking the free ski bus that drops off in front of the complex.
In the resort, there is a parking garage (for a fee), a reception desk, ski lockers, ski lifts, an information desk, ski shop with ski rental, fitness room, sauna, and indoor swimming pool.
If you do not feel like cooking yourself, the chef at our own Bistro Le Refuge is ready and waiting to prepare delicious regional dishes and internationally acclaimed menu items, all paired with superior wine selections. Whether you choose to sit at the bar or on the charming terrace, you will be able to share your experience and make new friends.

The Villa is tired and in need or some work and was not the one used in the picture to advertise the property which looks very well maintained. The heating was erratic with some radiators working and some not. Others came on in the middle of the night but not during the day even when it was very cold. Be prepared for the "extras" when you arrive, of course there is the tourist tax but parking is 10 euro per car per day and the cleaning fee was a huge 220euros then there is the 45 euro pet fee, not sure what that is for as there are no special pet facilities. I say the cleaning fee is huge because it does not cover the kitchen, emptying the dishwasher, removing the waste to the bins or stripping the beds! We were five adults and two children under 4, it would be a very tight squeeze for 8 adults and the cushion kept sliding off the bed settee so I am uncertain whether this could be used as a bed as it could be broken. The pool, sauna and steam room were very good but the hot tub was decommissioned because the rules were not being followed....? We did not use the restaurant but it looked very nice although there was no service after 10am until the evening so we could not go there for coffee mid morning. Overall the stay was good and we made the best of what was there and compared with other places to stay in Flaine the price was reasonable and in part reflected the remoteness of the resort from the town where most of the restaurants and bars are.
