Résidence L 'Altaviva consists of several connected large, new chalets in the hamlet of Tignes 1800 (formerly' Les Boisses'). It is located on the slopes and the ski lift 'Boisses' is around the corner (just pop on your skis, and you're right there). Shops, bars, restaurants, a ski equipment shop and the tourist office are all in the direct vicinity. The indoor swimming pool (free entrance), sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and fitness room are accommodated in the well-kept Spa (1 to 3 x free entrance, depending on the type of apartment). There is also a beautiful reception/lounge (sandwich service), lifts, parking garage, luggage room and ski storage space.

Résidence L 'Altaviva is built in a local traditional style with lots of wood and stone which gives it a warm atmosphere. A very comfortable holiday address in the midst of a real winter sports mecca.
Together with Val d'Isère, Tignes forms a very vast and inviting ski area (formerly known as 'Espace Killy'). With bar/restaurant 'Les Follies Douces' you have a great après-ski triumph in your hands.

Tignes consists of a number of neighbourhoods: the traditional Les Brevières, the growing Tignes 1800, the central Le Lac and the lively Val Claret. The last two of those were developed a few decades ago especially for winter sports and mountaineering. There are shuttle buses between the different neighbourhoods.
In Le Val Claret the apartments are close to the mountain train, which takes you within minutes to the La Grande Motte glacier at the altitude of 3050 m.
Tignes 1800 is small but nice; it combines the atmosphere of a traditional mountain village with modern comfort.
Besides skiing and snowboarding, there are many other activities, such as snowmobile or dog sled tours, walks with snowshoes, the wellness centre, cross-country skiing, diving under the ice or karting on ice!

Thanks to the very high altitude Tignes is very suitable for summer skiing; from Val Claret there are also open lifts during the summer. You can, of course, also engage in many other sports, like paragliding. For the tennis enthusiast, there are indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Walking in this unspoilt area is surprising; nature has many faces here.

Massages and beauty treatments are possible for a fee.

We had a lovely time! The apartment was perfectly located with direct access to the slopes, It was very clean and well-stocked with kitchen essentials, The hosts were super friendly and made our stay enjoyable, Would definitely book again!

We had a wonderful time in this cozy chalet. The design was modern yet warm, and we appreciated the convenience of being close to the ski lifts. The dining options nearby were excellent, especially 'Lo Soli', which we visited several times. We will definitely return!

Generally, a decent stay, The apartment was clean and had all the basics, but we found the furniture a bit outdated, It served its purpose for our ski trip, and the location near the lifts was definitely a plus, Not a bad choice, but there may be better options out there,
