It's fun to try to stay in a real castle. Exciting for children through the basement (through hallways and stairs) to the pool to go. Mobile air conditioning in the bedroom was a godsend during the stay at high temperatures. Also inh the area has plenty to do (example: Aix Le bain, Lac de Bourget and Annecy). Carrefour in Seyssel inside is refreshing when it's hot outside and you'll find everything.

The area of Chateau la Peyrouse is beautiful and if you like walking there are some spectacular views to be enjoyed. The apartment (Du Soleil) has a nice bathroom and comfortable lounge diner. The bedrooms are sparsely furnished so don't expect to be able to hang up any clothes. We found rodent (lois, looks like a small squirrel with big eyes but is related to the dormouse) droppings in one of the kitchen cupboards. The caretaker came and cleaned it out. She is very pleasant but doesn't speak english. There is a nice, small swimming pool, shared amongst the apartments, lovely gardens with a beautiful view. We were visited by about 5 bats who came in the window one evening. Beware of the extra costs: 15 euros for 1 towel, 1 sheet, 1 pillowcase, 1 duvet cover and 75 euros for cleaning.
