Upon arrival, the hostess was still cleaning. She was very nice and indicated that it was her family home. We waited a bit until she was finished. Beds were fine. Cleaning is done in a hasty manner. Especially the kitchen is not really clean. The oven could not be used because it was very dirty. The general condition of the house is old. You could also call it nostalgic, but there is simply deferred maintenance and cleaning. Well, we were charmed by the rooms that were furnished with old cabinets and furniture. The region is also beautiful. The garden is also nice, but the chairs and table were not clean. Internet was pleasantly fast, so that is a plus. When I look at the reviews, I am somewhat surprised that our experience does not quite match up.

As soon as you walk in, you feel at home. Nice activities nearby, a lake is a 20-minute drive away, great for swimming. Shops, etc. all within reasonable distance. Absolutely nothing to complain about, the playground equipment is almost alone and the wifi is not great. But otherwise perfect.

The balcony was a nice addition! We enjoyed our morning coffee there while breathing in the fresh air. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a microwave and a coffee maker, which made our stay pleasant.

We were received very warmly in this impressive stately holiday home by Mrs. Lamassiaude. The house is spacious (only the kitchen is a bit smaller) and the beds were apparently new and very comfortable! The garden is so large that there is plenty of sun and shade at any time of the day. We had a problem with the oil smell that could be smelled from the heating boiler in the house, but this was solved quickly and efficiently together with the landlords. For the rest, the Perigord Vert is a very beautiful and quiet region, with many nice towns nearby Payzac, Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, Excideuil, Saint-Robert, Brantôme, etc. For the more touristy cities you can easy access to Brive-la-Gaillarde, Perigueux and Limoges.
