We were very warmly welcomed by the owners. There were even a delicious bottle of wine and cookies waiting for us.
It is a fantastic house with a fully enclosed garden (dogs or small children really cannot walk into the street) in a very quiet area.
In Payzac there is a bakery, a butcher and in La Chapelle there is a Utille with a limited range of fresh and dry food. There is a larger Intermarche store in Pompadour, for example.
Cycling the 1.5 km to the bakery or shop is easy even for less experienced electric cyclists.
We really enjoyed the peace, the silence, the view over the fields, the many birds.

A very friendly and nice welcome! The house is very nicely situated. The kitchen and living space is a bit smaller for the five of us. But it's fun. Nice, well-kept and fresh rooms. There is a covered area outside but we barely sat there because of the wind. We prefer to sit at the patio table and chairs next to the pool. Nice view!!! The pool is large and clean. But very fresh! But that did not stop us! The village of Payzac is 1 to 2 km further on. Often just walked there. The butcher and bakery are very good. There is also a small U. But for more supplies we drove to Excideuil. There is a Super U. And a restaurant is also not directly nearby. Have cooked almost every day. Tips: extra pillows that were there were too flat for us. And a list of shops / opening hours and restaurants in the area would be nice. But we certainly enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

There is little passing traffic and at about 5 minutes you are at a bakery and small supermarket. Larger supermarkets are 10 to 15 km away. The welcome was very warm and received an extensive tour. The owners had put a bottle of water fresh to drink on arrival. What was welcome after a warm journey. A pastry and bottle of wine made it complete. Everything was clean on arrival and had everything we needed for us. We had a very relaxing holiday and could enjoy the hospitality of the owner.

We were 27 July to 10 August 2019 with our family in France. Good arrival, very friendly owners who show you the house on arrival and explain it in French. They respect your privacy for the rest of the vacation, and you can always contact them if there are any problems. The house is not very big, but very clean and tidy. Beautiful views around the house and the pool is also great. The weather was beautiful, so we could enjoy the pool a lot. Good wifi available, which is very pleasant with teenagers and a man with his own company. The area is beautiful, very rural, quiet and hilly. There is a small local supermarket but we often went to a supermarket in the surrounding larger places, which was about a 20 minute drive. Nice places are Perigueux and Bordeaux. That place is a bit further away but very worthwhile for a day trip.

The pool was too deep for our children aged 5 and 2 years, but that has not stopped us. It is a very quiet area, for tourism you have to drive a little further. The garden was completely finished for the dog, so we could rest assured if she walked outside. In short, we had a good holiday there, highly recommended!

Marie-Rose and Jean-Jacques immediately welcomed us: they live next to the villa. Very warm and friendly people, always available for questions and directly on the spot if something needs to be done. They showed us the villa extensively, a nice cake and a bottle of wine were ready. The garden is beautifully maintained and completely fenced, it was great for our dog to walk around in it. There is also no problem with regard to privacy: they have made every effort not to have a look, neither in the house nor in the garden. It is a fairly large garden with an above ground swimming pool that was very welcome during the heat wave that prevailed. The house itself is equipped with every comfort and immaculate. Beds were nicely made and inside it was nice and fresh. We were 3 people, so certainly big enough. From 4 or at least 5 people it seems a bit small, especially the bathroom and the living room / kitchen. The range of channels on the TV is limited to French channels, but we did not come to watch TV. The equipment in the kitchen is adequate but basic. Under the roof it is nice and cool to eat and read. Where it was great to relax, plenty of shade, deck, sweeping views of surrounding villages, with a glass of wine, the bbq at the sun goes down. With some grazing cows around us and only the sound of crickets. Delicious, if you're looking for "Tranquility". Homeowners living on your doorstep. Vegetation and location, provides privacy. For questions or ambiguities, they were ready for us. Nice welcome gift and a lot of brochures about attractions were ready for us. It is convenient to have a word French to spreken.Huis was clean and fine. Neatly made beds and towels. House is on a road where hardly drive past a car. For a baby or small child, there was enough material aanwezig.Ongeveer fifteen minutes drive to a super marche. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised, very friendly people (house owners live right next to the holiday property). We got a nice gift (bottle of wine, biscuits and apples). There was also water already present. The owners have given a very thorough explanation of the house. They respected private but if there was something you could always turn to them.

The welcome was very friendly and cordial with a local product and a cold bottle of water as a gift. The owners live close by but the privacy is good for each other. You have complete privacy and tranquility, but if you have questions, the owners are easy to address (only in French). The fenced garden and the secured swimming pool was very handy with our young children (1 and 5) and dog. So even mom and dad have come to rest. The cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Our children really liked the sheep that you look out on. We absolutely recommend this accommodation!

We arrived earlier than we agreed and yet we were allowed to go in. The only downside is that the seat and the chairs (old church chairs) are not that comfortable. The beds are also not provided for big people (you can not stretch yourself) but good mattresses. The surroundings are breathtaking and very quiet. The house was big enough for the two of us and the dog maybe if you come with several people it can be a bit small. The area was beautiful, super quiet and beautifully situated. Ideal for taking long walks.

The welcome was very friendly and cordial with a local product and a cold bottle of water as a gift. The owners live close by but the privacy is good for each other. You have complete privacy and tranquility, but if you have questions, the owners are easy to address (only in French). The fenced garden and the secured swimming pool was very handy with our young children (1 and 5) and dog. So even mom and dad have come to rest. The cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Our children really liked the sheep that you look out on. We absolutely recommend this accommodation!

Very satisfied, nice house, beautiful garden, very nice view, very neat. Swimming pool is definitely a plus. Beautiful area for excursions. And a thank you to the owners. Very friendly people. A wonderful holiday.
