After the warm welcome, our week of vacation began. The beautiful house, which is equipped with all comforts and wonderfully clean down to the last detail, served as our resting point for breakfast, sleep, and upon returning home to enjoy the oasis of tranquility. De eigenaren zijn allerhartelijkst en zeer gastvrij. De gite overtreft, in al haar privacy, meer dan onze verwachtingen : vrij gelegen, ruim, gezellig, zeer schoon en werkelijk alles wat je in het dagelijkse leven nodig hebt is aanwezig. Heerlijke bedden en bovenal een schitterend weids uitzicht waar werkelijke rust nog bestaat. De pittoreske stadjes en dorpjes in de nabije omgeving biedt veel bezienswaardigheden. De stranden zijn prachtig. Kortom, een top aanrader voor een geweldige zorgeloze vakantie. We zullen hier zeker weer heel graag terugkomen!

The history enriches Normandy; the sea remains beautiful every day. Nice holiday home with a wonderfully spacious garden with extensive and relaxing views. "In the evening a beautifully detailed starry sky. Indoor toys and outdoor play equipment available - fun for the kids' activities. In our opinion, the Airborne museum in Sainte-Mère-Église is highly recommended. Extensive, varied and very visible to children thanks to the new Histopad.The beach in Bretteville (beautiful before sunset on the west coast) had the most beautiful sand and the cleanest, clearest water of all the beaches, followed by Omaha Beach, which won it thanks to the unique rocky coast.The guided tour of "Vergers de Romilly" in the village itself every Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 pm is a nice - and very enthusiastic - introduction to a piece of culture. The town of Mont-Saint-Michel is also part of that.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Lina and Willem. At home we found a beautiful bunch of flowers, with a bottle of wine, while a bottle of cider and a bottle of water were prepared in the fridge. The house meets all our wishes, with the quality of the mattresses deserving extra mention. Outside the house a beautiful terrace with all privacy and with fantastic views of the Normandy landscape including cows, birds and beautiful villagescape. We had a wonderful week, despite the sometimes unpredictable weather, cycling, walking, of course invasion beaches and museums.

The house is super, all the way up in a quiet and relaxed environment, the neighbors in your backyard are black with white spots and we found it very nice. The surroundings is very quiet but fantastic to drive to the invasion beaches, Bayeux with the 70mtr long embroidery and even Le Mont Saint-Michel is in good condition.

The cottage was immaculate and was equipped with every comfort; there were even a few things that were extremely useful, such as salt and pepper and a few rolls of toilet paper. All the basics in terms of kitchen utensils. Good washing machine, pleasant bath and clean massage shower. We had rented bed linen and this was already covered! The area was wonderfully quiet. The cottage is ideally located to discover the Manche and Calvados as the highway is only a few minutes drive (through the fields). A great recommendation!

On arrival we were met by the owners of Le Jonquet. What a welcoming reception. A chat, explaining stay and have a drink in the form of a bottle of wine and apple cider. We have really enjoyed our week in Normandy. We felt immediately at home in "our" house. What a comfort, what a calm and what a view !! Cows in the pasture, storks and herons flying past .... Really fine. It was also the ideal place to discover the history of WW II. All those boring, incomprehensible history lessons of the past are represented in museums in exciting and engaging way. For our children, 16, 15 and 12 also very instructive. We mainly stayed around the house Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Pointe Duc Hoc, Arromanches, Saint-Mère-Eglise. The tallest lighthouse in France (71m) in Barfleur and Mont Saint-Michel was slightly further but are definitely worth it. We are left with pain in our hearts. Gite Le Jonquet is a perfect base for the landing beaches. You also have a lot of interesting museums and attractions. The old town of Bayeux is a 20 minute drive. The cottage is in complete agreement with the photo 's. You have a beautiful idyllic overlooking fields, hills and an ancient church. There was a TV available (with satellite TV) and DVD player. Luckily we had exceptionally beautiful September weather and on the terrace to eat. The beds were good, just a shame that the 2 separate mattresses next to each other. The house was very clean, and the owners had fresh flowers, wine and a card left. The base was equipped in the cottage so after a long drive to the supermarket should not immediately go for toilet paper, dishwashing, herbs, kitchen ... etc. One drawback was that the wifi was not working during our stay. We have a wonderful holiday in Le Jonquet. On arrival we were received very hospitable. The cabin is spacious and has lots of charm. For our son was put down within additional toys. Upon arrival there were already some goodies ready biscuits, a bottle of cider and a bottle of wine! The house (a converted barn) is large and very nice and stylish furnishings. The setting is beautiful, the house is quiet, on a "Sentier de découverte". But also ideal for trips to the sea, the landing beaches, Bayeux, ...

The history enriches Normandy; the sea remains beautiful every day. Nice holiday home with a wonderfully spacious garden with extensive and relaxing views. "In the evening a beautifully detailed starry sky. Indoor toys and outdoor play equipment available - fun for the kids' activities. In our opinion, the Airborne museum in Sainte-Mère-Église is highly recommended. Extensive, varied and very visible to children thanks to the new Histopad.The beach in Bretteville (beautiful before sunset on the west coast) had the most beautiful sand and the cleanest, clearest water of all the beaches, followed by Omaha Beach, which won it thanks to the unique rocky coast.The guided tour of "Vergers de Romilly" in the village itself every Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 pm is a nice - and very enthusiastic - introduction to a piece of culture. The town of Mont-Saint-Michel is also part of that.

2 cesslands is a simple little house with plenty of amenities and decor. Hold your peace, tranquility and panoramic views then this property is not suitable. As a base to Kent and the rest of England to visit, this is a nice house. Station 5 minutes drive away and within one hour in London!
