The history enriches Normandy; the sea remains beautiful every day. Nice holiday home with a wonderfully spacious garden with extensive and relaxing views. "In the evening a beautifully detailed starry sky. Indoor toys and outdoor play equipment available - fun for the kids' activities. In our opinion, the Airborne museum in Sainte-Mère-Église is highly recommended. Extensive, varied and very visible to children thanks to the new Histopad. The beach in Bretteville (beautiful before sunset on the west coast) had the most beautiful sand and the cleanest, clearest water of all the beaches, followed by Omaha Beach, which won it thanks to the unique rocky coast. The guided tour of "Vergers de Romilly" in the village itself every Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 pm is a nice - and very enthusiastic - introduction to a piece of culture. The town of Mont-Saint-Michel is also part of that.

Very good, clean and complete house. The Internet and cable TV are really a must for any maintenance. not to fill evenings. There is a lot to do in the area, such as visiting the many museums around the second world war. The villages are centuries-old and very worthwhile. Walk a look at a cemetery in the many picturesque churches. Bayeux is a very nice place to visit with a wonderful cozy kathedraal. We have had a visit from a wood mouse and thousands of crane flies. This is purely coincidental and normally you have really no problems. The luxury of an extensive supermarket is just fine for the spoiled Nederlander.Een recommended and definitely worth to go back komen.Wij were there with the two of us but for a family with small children or larger really nice. For younger guests there is a playground in the garden and for older children there are the museums and ed.Frank Margreeth Vorstenbosch.Oktober 2010.

Super friendly guest couple who welcomed us with open arms. Fine bottle of red wine and nice bottle of cider present on arrival, accompanied by a bag of local caramel! The cottage was immaculate and was equipped with every comfort; there were even a few things that were extremely useful, such as salt and pepper and a few rolls of toilet paper. All the basics in terms of kitchen utensils. Good washing machine, pleasant bath and clean massage shower. We had rented bed linen and this was already covered! The area was wonderfully quiet. The cottage is ideally located to discover the Manche and Calvados as the highway is only a few minutes drive (through the fields). A great recommendation!
Ingrid Gros
Excellent, spacious holiday home with lots of space and privacy and great views. Warm welcome by hostess and host, explaining the use and delicacies of the area and fresh flowers on the table! .The house is quiet and rural, remote from the places in the area. Very central to the invasion coast, but also the coast on Jersey side is well accessible. Owners live next to the house.

What you see is what you get. The pictures give an excellent picture of the cottage. In addition, we were surprised by the huge welcoming reception with flowers on the table, a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and lettuce from the garden and homemade gin berries later. Blessed! When the storm blew the bedroom window was broken (temporarily) solved this by the owner / neighbor from art. We also enjoyed the surroundings, delicious food and invaiestranden. In short repeating!
Koen Verheyen
What a rest and what a wonderful view of the flooded meadows behind the cottage. The many beaches were more than worth the effort, with particular reference to Utah Beach where we searched and gathered fresh mussels "evening processed in a homemade super-deluxe seafood lasagna.De 1 February mornings were somewhat chilly (cold hands breakfast). But once we stairwell to - cold drafts and giving - second bedroom had shielded and also the outside lane which was very enjoyable stay here.

The house had everything had. We expected There is a beautiful view over the valley. R nIt is very quiet and at 5km there are shops, restaurants and supermarket. There is sure to visit in the area outside the landing beaches and war museums sufficient. R nThe area is not suitable for cycling as we had hoped. There are no bike paths, the roads are narrow and winding and the car 's hard drive.

For us it was the first time we invaded Normandy we visited with our noses inde butter! Everything was perfect, the hospitality of Kina and William, the house (totally perfect with great views of meadows, cows and remote villages), the beautiful surroundings and of course the impressive landing beaches, war cemeteries and museums. Luxury gite. All present. Very nice bathroom. Convenient location so you're close to the sights of Normandy. You can use both inside and outside the wood stove in the brazier lit. This is very very nice to have the evenings to fill. The owners live next to the cottage but they let themselves only see when you would need them. The reception was very pleasant. Nice view over the fields of the environment. It was just amazing.

As the first tenants of this house we found it very special. We had two wonderful weeks of vacation. The weather was fine, the house very well equipped and more than lived up to our verwachtingen.De environment was very rewarding and the view on the garden terrace. The owners are very welcoming and very involved in thinking what a vacationer like wil.Wij absolutely want terugkomen.Nadeel once was, however, that after this holiday for a week in Brittany where booked after this excellent experience quite a downer waited. In short, we were spoiled. An absolute must.

We were very kindly received by the owners, everything was top. Very nice with the nice attentions they put in front of you in the house. The house is super, all the way up in a quiet and relaxed environment, the neighbors in your backyard are black with white spots and we found it very nice. The surroundings is very quiet but fantastic to drive to the invasion beaches, Bayeux with the 70mtr long embroidery and even Le Mont Saint-Michel is in good condition.
Gerda Meijer
Prima accommodation, complete, the house is fully equipped. Excellent mattresses and beds (especially for people of any length). A well-functioning kitchen, washing machine, etc. Attention point is the shower cabin, less suitable for long and corpulent persons. When leaving the shower cabin, take care of a wet smooth floor. Friendly owners. Upon arrival, the beds are made up, which gives a good holiday feeling. Good internet connection. A beautiful natural environment with a wide view as far as the eye is concerned. An oasis of peace and quiet. Location is great for visits to D-Day beaches and the historical events of the Second World War.
Eric Vanderwaeren
The fantastic reception marks the beginning of a blissful stay in the gite. Every comfort is present. Very much seen and visited IVMD-Day, beautiful environment so fully enjoyed. R nVerschillende visited top restaurants eaten, and of course a glass of calvados from the region gedronken. We definitely come back here.
Danny Orbaen
The house had everything had. We expected There is a beautiful view over the valley. R nIt is very quiet and at 5km there are shops, restaurants and supermarket. There is sure to visit in the area outside the landing beaches and war museums sufficient. R nThe area is not suitable for cycling as we had hoped. There are no bike paths, the roads are narrow and winding and the car 's hard drive.

This holiday we have chosen because of its convenient location and positive reviews. And we have our lovely felt a week at home. Everything down to the last detail, with all modern facilities to the smallest detail. An additional word of thanks to the owners, our compliments for their hospitality and enthousiasme.En that we come back sometime we know for sure.

We have received very heartiest. Flowers, wine and cider were ready for us. The owners have explained everything to us. also about the area and where you can do shopping. The cottage is a winner. What a garden and what a view. The comfort level was very high. Everything functioned and the holiday was partly due to the fantastic gite, lovely. Incidentally, the presence of a digital TV, we could also enjoy the Dutch national team.

Cottage Gite Le Jonquet is the ideal place to explore Normandy. It is close to the D-day beaches, several museums and the beautiful Bayeux. The cottage is fully equipped and has a beautiful location. We are welcomed by Willem and Kina, a bottle of wine was on the table and the cider was cold. In short, highly recommended !! Fam van der Horst

Le Jonquet is a delightful cottage. The beautiful and spacious interior and comfort make that you can safely enjoy the peace and nature. In addition, there is so much to visit nearby, beaches, museums, villages ... Ideal for relaxing once REAL! Recommended!

And besides, we had seven days of sunshine

Wonderful week, work hard year after year. What a rest in the beautiful surroundings and the lovely cottage. Good beds, good kitchen, TV, DVD, WiFi and if it was a fresh delicious open haard.Gastheer and hostess were available for questions, on arrival were a card and bottle of wine on the table and on departure we got jar of jam. Very friendly mensen.Absoluut recommended in the beautiful Normandy, we visited many of the landing beaches.

This environment and this house has everything that makes a holiday a feast. The house is spacious and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, blender, dishwasher, Senseo, etc. The bathroom is fantastic. Both a bathtub and a shower with massage function if desired. A toilet in the bathroom as well as separately. Upon arrival, a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine on the table and in the refrigerator a bottle of cider and water. The house is very rural and the view is like a painting. We have lovely walks and many cultural excursions. Of course, the landing beaches and museums visited. But in addition, there is still so much more. We Cherbourg watched a submarine and a beautiful aquarium. We've been to Falaise to the castle of William the Conqueror to visit and then drove back via la Suisse Normande. A beautiful route. We also visited the west coast near Cherbourg. Very impressive. In short, we have to come back because a week is too little to see everything. 5 km away its delicious bakeries and two supermarkets. At the fish market in Grandcamp every day for sale. Fresh fish

We have a wonderful holiday in Le Jonquet. On arrival we were received very hospitable. The cabin is spacious and has lots of charm. For our son was put down within additional toys. He has also great fun with the slide and the swings, which are in the garden. Our holiday was in March, which usually means rain, but not now. We had lots of sun and all the sights we could see in peace, because the tourist season later gets going. There are many water birds around the house and we storks, cattle egrets and little egrets seen. This cottage of Dutch owners, is highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Jonquet, the last two weeks of May 2010. Lovely house, lovely terrace overlooking the meadows with cows. The house itself was fully equipped. Excellent beds. And then the sound scenery: the whole day singing birds, "night croaking frogs, occasional mooing cow or a neighing horse. When a car drove by, we looked at each other and said what those here? Excellent base also for the landing beaches and Bayeux. Class! Jeanne, Joop and marijke Hendriks.
Paul Inklaar
We are very hospitably received there was indeed something to be desired mooch. The Dutch owners know exactly what you need for that 's stay, and everything was there. Even in the Netherlands TV.We have visited many places in the area, such as the landing beaches, Bayeux and Caen are all within 30 minutes drive away. Prima supermarket 7 minutes rijden.De combination of peace, space and hospitality with the accessibility of everything we wanted to visit makes this an ideal vacation spot for us and we want to come again. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome by helpful hostess. As a welcome gift a bottle of wine a bottle of cider and some candy. A bunch of flowers on the table.Very neat house in a quiet place and a great place as a base for excursions.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Jonquet. The environment is prachting. The cottage is luxuriously furnished and fully equipped. The owners are very nice and welcoming. They live next to it, but you will see only when you need them. The location is central so you can go see sights. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore Normandy and wants to enjoy a peaceful holiday in the countryside!

We had a great holiday thanks to the fine house which is fully equipped. The holiday home is peacefully situated amidst beautiful nature. But within 5 minutes you are on a kind of highway, so everything is within easy reach, including shops, attractions, beach ... We had lovely sunny weather and we fully enjoyed this beautiful region. Even our 2 children aged 3 and 5 have very good time, thanks to the nice playground and nice big garden!
Frank Vorstenbosch

The fantastic reception marks the beginning of a blissful stay in the gite. Every comfort is present. Possibility of many excursions in the neighborhood, enjoying the tranquility of the area, restaurants and shops close, there is something for everyone. We will remember this holiday with great pleasure. Thanks to the hosts for all their efforts to make this possible. E and C from Leuven

Accomodation was fine and very complete. We already knew because we had been before. Special return for D-day events. All in the area and busy. And house wonderful in peace. We would like to live there.
Harrie Sprengers
On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Lina and Willem. At home we found a beautiful bunch of flowers, with a bottle of wine, while a bottle of cider and a bottle of water were prepared in the fridge. The house meets all our wishes, with the quality of the mattresses deserving extra mention. Outside the house a beautiful terrace with all privacy and with fantastic views of the Normandy landscape including cows, birds and beautiful villagescape. We had a wonderful week, despite the sometimes unpredictable weather, cycling, walking, of course invasion beaches and museums.
Jolanda Janmaat-Streefkerk

We went to the vicinity of the D Day beaches. Everything is easily accessible from St Germain du Pert. We have seen a lot and always came back in a beautiful and luxurious home. Everything was there and it was clean, everything worked, privacy, beautiful views and tranquility. In short, all good. Whether it very hot weather or very bad. You can have fun there in the house, there is a beautiful garden and venture out is also very easy. So we had a good time. Had r nPrima holiday. Environment is beautiful and there is much to see. The house is great, we would like to live permanently. Luxurious feel, calm, beautiful appearance, comfort, luxury, everything is there. We had a very good week. Our feeling was that we wanted to stay longer and we definitely come back here.

Nice house, quiet green area a must for anyone who break wil.Werkelijk a must! From the first minute to the last minute we enjoyed the house and the beautiful surroundings. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The house itself is perfect. Not only beautifully decorated, very practical.
Harrie Sprengers
We have been the guest of Willem and Kina again in the first week of September (now for the third time). This year too, the holiday met all our expectations with the reception (with small extra attentions), the house with the beautiful view of the Norman swamp and hills, the sheer terrace where we spent many hours in the sun, the beautiful bike rides through the "boccage" landscape (with beautiful Norman cows), the landing beaches and all tangible memories of the Second World War. Recommended!
Erik Heirbaut
The reception was very cordial. There was a nice card, a bottle of wine, cider and water ready. The very friendly owner told where everything is and how everything works. The cottage is really fully equipped, even clothespins, dishwasher tablets, ... The environment is very interesting, the cottage is close to the Normandy landing beaches and nice places like Bayeux. Overall, a really RECOMMENDED !!

After a warm and friendly welcome we started our holiday in this excellent well equipped cottage. 1 week is too short, but there are all guests in this house on the eens.Het is complete and excellent uitvalsbassis to visit the landing beaches of D-Day June 6, 1945.
Pauline Brinkhof
The arrival was very warm by the owners of this accommodation. Because of various delicacies that were ready in the house, the holiday could start immediately. The property is not a French castle, but because of the location, the view and the surroundings we felt enormously rich during this holiday.
Steven Gielen
Very nice house, everything you need is there and even more nice view, very quiet ... Nice garden ... there lived a stork himself in the backyard! -) This cottage is highly recommended!

Lovely cottage surrounded by nature, very quiet, you only hear the birds. Super Large garden to relax and to unwind. Meadow View, cows, church ... very nice. Shops on a 5 km away. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. In nearby numerous attractions. We found a week too short! This is highly recommended! We love to come back again! -)

The cottage looks on the pictures' s exactly like the real thing! The garden is spacious, with nice swing, climbing rope and slide for the kids. Apples in abundance on the trees in the garden. Too tasty hazelnuts discovered! Host and hostess very friendly and nice bottle of wine and cider on arrival. Top!
Jelle Smidt
We have been received very hospitably by Kina and Willem. The house has a very large garden and a very nice view. There is plenty to do and experience in the area. The house is neat and fully furnished so fully equipped.
Michael Brennecke
We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful holiday home. From there, most of Normandy Highligts be reached by car very well. To Mont St. Michel is needed eg, 1.5 h, which is best in the afternoon you go back there, you can see the stream of visitors to escape something. Previously worth especially for the kids a trip to the Alligator Farm (located directly in front of Michel). Grandcamp mussels at low tide you can (there are hundreds Muschelsucher road), while keeping the beautiful beach invites at Vierville at low tide for long walks. Here you can swim with the tide's great. In Isigny there are several bakeries and shops. The house is exactly the illustrations and offers all the comfort. Even the Internet (:-) vital for some people has always worked well. Many thanks to our nice landlord Kina and Willem, who spoke German very well. We will certainly go again sometime in the Normandy.
Jose Kornegoor
It is a fantastic holiday home. Spacious, clean and fully equipped. The environment is beautiful. In addition to all war monuments, there are also many beautiful cities, castles and museums to visit. We will definitely go again ...
Maaike Jager
Beautiful house and especially very beautiful garden. The house was spacious enough for 4 adults and a baby. We were sent a good route description and on arrival there was a nice welcome package and clear explanation. We have a great time, both in the area and at the house itself. There is much to see and do in the area and the highlights of Normandy are close by. For a baby that can just crawl, the garden was fantastic.
Sylvia Heijes
What you see is what you get. The pictures give an excellent picture of the cottage. In addition, we were surprised by the huge welcoming reception with flowers on the table, a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and lettuce from the garden and homemade gin berries later. Blessed! When the storm blew the bedroom window was broken (temporarily) solved this by the owner / neighbor from art. We also enjoyed the surroundings, delicious food and invaiestranden. In short repeating!
Michael CEUPPENS
Upon arrival there were already some goodies ready biscuits, a bottle of cider and a bottle of wine! The house (a converted barn) is large and very nice and stylish furnishings. The setting is beautiful, the house is quiet, on a "Sentier de découverte". But also ideal for trips to the sea, the landing beaches, Bayeux, ...

Jacob Van den Brink
We were very kindly received by the owners, everything was top. Very nice with the nice attentions they put in front of you in the house. The house is super, all the way up in a quiet and relaxed environment, the neighbors in your backyard are black with white spots and we found it very nice. The surroundings is very quiet but fantastic to drive to the invasion beaches, Bayeux with the 70mtr long embroidery and even Le Mont Saint-Michel is in good condition.
P.A. van der Meulen
On arrival we were met by the owners of Le Jonquet. What a welcoming reception. A chat, explaining stay and have a drink in the form of a bottle of wine and apple cider. Furthermore, the stay was spotless and well equipped and has a fantastic view. We were lucky that the whole week was nice, sunny weather and we have seen a lot in the area. The residence is a box with brochures with tips what kind of things to see / do. Of course all about D-Day, but also nice trips to Honfleur, Mont St Michel and Bayeux are doing fine. Normandy has positively surprised us and if you go there please address. When we left we got a jar of homemade jam with it (which is very nice we have seen in the meantime). These amenities make the location very good location. We will definitely come back.

After our stay last year, this year my parents were able to enjoy this wonderful holiday. They understood our love for the cottage and enjoyed a top holiday enjoying nature and tranquility.
Carlieke Van Staalduinen
As the first tenants of this house we found it very special. We had two wonderful weeks of vacation. The weather was fine, the house very well equipped and more than lived up to our verwachtingen.De environment was very rewarding and the view on the garden terrace. The owners are very welcoming and very involved in thinking what a vacationer like wil.Wij absolutely want terugkomen.Nadeel once was, however, that after this holiday for a week in Brittany where booked after this excellent experience quite a downer waited. In short, we were spoiled. An absolute must.

If you like peace and quiet, space in the sense of a lovely garden, and in your house all the comforts of home back to find you in Le Jonquet at the right vakantieadres.Als it also a perfect base appears to be for numerous trips with our 2 sons aged 10 and 14, we have nothing to complain about. The warm welcome of the star and the owners managed (both Dutch) have contributed to a wonderful holiday feeling during our stay in Normandy.
Amanda Mulder
We have once again enjoyed this beautiful cottage. The care was excellent again. Willem and China are very welcoming and helpful. We were able to relax in the garden and enjoy nature. While the children could enjoy playing.

We have two weeks enjoyed the hospitality. What a nice cozy house. Peace, space and privacy, just nice and cozy, the men now know how to rouse a heater! The view is magnificent. The trips were very impressive. Many seen in two weeks. Definitely worth going back.

We are the first week of May 2010 with our family of 4 people in this lovely gite been. We were very warmly welcomed by the (Dutch) administrators who do everything to make it as comfortable as possible. We were lucky with the weather. Virtually no rain much sun but clouds. Only the temperature was slightly taller zijn.De cottage is comfortably furnished and fully equipped. The description fits exactly so there were no surprises, including as regards the omgeving.Normandie is a beautiful area where a lot to see. Prima had a vacation, ideally located at sites of the 2nd world war. Perfect house all around and a nice view! Just a pity about the weather in Normandy, almost only had rain in two weeks.
Siemjan Dekker
We had booked this house for D-Day visit. That's fine succeeded. The house is an excellent starting point for many museums, memorials, etc. The only downside was the weather! We were very pleased at the large garden but here we have only 2 hours from Sunday to benefit. The rest of the week was cold and much rain. The house is so comfortable that we have had a wonderful week!
A.M Aalbregt
This splendid holiday. You'll relax completely. Even with a family with children. Environment is very beautiful and rural. Villages very authentic. For fans of the Second World War landing beaches are very worthwhile.

We have really enjoyed our week in Normandy. We felt immediately at home in "our" house. What a comfort, what a calm and what a view !! Cows in the pasture, storks and herons flying past .... Really fine. It was also the ideal place to discover the history of WW II. All those boring, incomprehensible history lessons of the past are represented in museums in exciting and engaging way. For our children, 16, 15 and 12 also very instructive. We mainly stayed around the house Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Pointe Duc Hoc, Arromanches, Saint-Mère-Eglise. The tallest lighthouse in France (71m) in Barfleur and Mont Saint-Michel was slightly further but are definitely worth it. We are left with pain in our hearts. Thanks William and Kina for the good reception! We are happy to come back.

We enjoyed the beautiful house that is situated in a fantastic setting. The landing beaches, Bayeux, Cherbourg and even Le Mont-Saint-Michel are easy to reach. Ideal for exploring Normandy.

It was already the fifth time that we visited our "home away from home". Kina & Willem were again very hospitable. The house was in perfect condition again. Ideal base to discover the whole of Normandy. Nicely furnished (bizarrely a rarity in France) and well equipped with all kinds of facilities. Also super in terms of available material (eg. All kinds of herbs, soap, toilet paper, ...). We will be back for sure :)

Gite Le Jonquet is a perfect base for the landing beaches. You also have a lot of interesting museums and attractions. The old town of Bayeux is a 20 minute drive. The cottage is in complete agreement with the photo 's. You have a beautiful idyllic overlooking fields, hills and an ancient church. There was a TV available (with satellite TV) and DVD player. Luckily we had exceptionally beautiful September weather and on the terrace to eat. The beds were good, just a shame that the 2 separate mattresses next to each other. The house was very clean, and the owners had fresh flowers, wine and a card left. The base was equipped in the cottage so after a long drive to the supermarket should not immediately go for toilet paper, dishwashing, herbs, kitchen ... etc. One drawback was that the wifi was not working during our stay. But the owners went to find out why he did not reach, so this will be resolved quickly. A must for anyone seeking peace and cultural trips to combine. We had a very successful holiday behind us and thoroughly enjoyed the rest.

The landlords of the great holiday home are extremely nice. It is important to mention this first. The arrival time could be communicated without any problems. You felt really welcome on arrival. The personal reception, the briefing in the house and the welcome gifts contributed to this. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are many extras that are absolutely not a matter of course, but absolutely help you on vacation. The garden is very well-kept and offers many opportunities for children to play. So you made a big contribution to a great holiday, thank you very much.

We experienced a very nice and sunny week in our perfect holiday. Many outdoor (incl. Swing, deckchairs, parasol ...) and cozy interiors. The "details" finish it (cider / wine on arrival, fully equipped kitchen, shower, ...).

Great house. Location is quiet, yet close to main road. Nice places and beaches in the area. The house has a large garden with fruit trees and overlooking a beautiful nature. The wood stove in the house we use every day! Provides ambiance and a little extra warmth.

It was a nice vacation in a stunning setting. The view from the cottage in the countryside was, after a stay in Paris very relaxing. Everywhere grazing cows and one gets the impression - The world is still in order -. The house is very well equipped and the owners were very nice -! Thanks again for the warm welcome and the promte help strike the dishwasher to explore the area you need a car. We have taken great trips eg to Le Mont St. Michel. Here one should go in the late afternoon, then one can only admire the monastery hill really. Of course one must also inglorious history of the 2nd World War I is not forgotten. By impressive documentation was also our kids (9 and 12 years), an impression of the futility of war and the pain of still vermittelt.Zuletzt Note: The ice in the cheese factory of Isigny is delicious and inexpensive.
Melissa van Kuijk
What a nice house and what wonderful people Kina and Willem are. Because we had car trouble on the way there, we arrived very late. But on arrival Willem and Kina were still there to receive us, the house was heated nicely. And everything was ready for our daughter, so nice! The cottage is very centrally located, so you can easily view all the highlights of Normandy, in short, highly recommended!
Annelies Moeyersoons
We had a brilliant holiday in and around the house. Good weather, nice trips, breakfast on terrace in the sun (as you can against the wind). The house was very clean and comfortable. A lot of plus points. Only downside is perhaps the bedrooms open via a staircase to the living. This means that if someone or the children all go to sleep that you should quietly in the living areas. Or if you have for example a child who does not want to go to sleep and always comes back to the stairs)
