A magnificent villa in a unique location directly on the lake; you can walk from the terraces and from the garden straight onto the La Cala de Mijas beach! The large garden is totally fenced off and offers complete privacy. The house is in the shape of a horseshoe around a patio where you can sit nicely protected from the wind and in the shade; even in the winter, it is often pleasantly warm. The inside of the villa is especially spacious and includes a living room, a separate dining room and a winter room with a lounge-type image. Here, you can enjoy a glass of wine and totally relax on the large cushions with your favourite music and view of the lake in the background.
Interesting cities in the surrounding areas worthy of visiting (for the day) are Ronda with its spectacular bridge over the gorge, Granada with the world famous Alhambra, Seville, Malaga, the convivial harbour city and Marbella where you can spot the jet-set!

In case you would like to spend your vacation with more people, you can rent house La Estrella for 5 people additionally. This house is situated at the beach in La Cala de Mijas, only one street appart. It takes you only one minute to go from your garden to the beach. Both houses together offer room for 20 people.

If you prefer to arrive or depart outside of the presented times, the caretaker of the house has the right to charge you 75 euros for this extra service.

This villa exceeded our expectations! The garden was private and quiet, and the proximity to the beach was a great advantage. We enjoyed day trips to Granada and Seville, all easily accessible.

The place was really nice, cozy, and comfortable. I appreciated the traditional style of the villa and the privacy of the garden. We had a large group and rented both houses, which worked very well. I just wish the Wi-Fi had been a bit faster, but we managed to disconnect and enjoy our time together!

We have been staying in this house 15 people for two weeks from 27 August to 10 September 2016. The accommodation is extraordinary in terms of location and facilities, also has all kinds of goods and services. But when renting there are certain aspects which does not facilitate the process as having to pay separate spending light, cleaning and rental of linens, we consider it more appropriate that everything had been included in a fixed price, but it's just an observation. As for the time of entry to the 1700 and departure at 1000, although it is something we accept to sign the contract and that once understood that given the dimensions of the house, much time is needed to be you can perform a thorough cleaning before they handed us the keys, so we were up nearly six p.m. unable to settle in the house since it was cleaning and it is assumed that the previous tenant vacated the cas at 10 tomorrow to proceed to clean it. We understand that the house is very large and need to perform a thorough cleaning after handing over the keys the previous tenant. We do not understand is that is made within the time

Hemos estado alojados 15 personas en esta casa durante dos semanas del 27 de agosto al 10 de septiembre de 2016. El alojamiento es extraordinario en cuanto a ubicación e instalaciones, también cuenta con toda clase de enseres y de prestaciones. Pero a la hora de alquilar hay ciertos aspectos que no facilita el trámite como el tener que abonar aparte el gasto de luz, la limpieza y el alquiler de la ropa de cama, consideramos más apropiado que todo se hubiera incluido en un precio cerrado, pero es tan sólo una observación. En cuanto a la hora de entrada a las 1700 y de salida a las 1000, a pesar de que es algo que aceptamos al firmar el contrato y que en su momento entendimos que dada las dimensiones de la casa, se necesita mucho tiempo para que se pueda realizar una limpieza a fondo antes de que nos entregaran las llaves, por lo que estuvimos hasta casi las seis de la tarde sin poder instalarnos en la casa ya que se estaba limpiando y se supone que el anterior inquilino dejó libre la cas a las 10 de mañana para proceder a la limpieza de la misma. Entendemos que la casa es muy grande y se necesita realizar una limpieza a fondo después de entregar las llaves el anterior inquilino. Lo que no entendemos es que se haga dentro del tiempo en el que comienza el alquiler, es decir, si entramos a las 6 de la tarde, dejaríamos la casa a las seis de la tarde del día correspondiente a nuestra salida y no a las 10 de la mañana (aunque en nuestro caso se nos permitió salir a las 12 al exponer este razonamiento y por cuestiones familiares). No sólo se dispone de nuestro tiempo de disfrute de la casa para realizar la limpieza de la misma, sino que además esa limpieza la tiene que pagar el inquilino aparte (255€). Por otro lado nos sorprendió que hubiera sólo una persona realizando la limpieza de una casa tan grande, cuyo resultado quedó claro al entrar, pues no se había hecho una limpieza en condiciones, se notó sobretodo en los baños y en la cocina, no olían bien y los retretes tenían suciedad en el fondo. En cuanto la cocina que está muy bien equipada, pero nos faltó espacio para guardar los alimentos que no necesitan refrigeración, si bien comimos casi todos los días de restaurante, lo poco que compramos para desayunar o para alguna cena tuvimos que colocarlo todo sobre la mesa de la cocina, suelo y encimeras. Hago constar estos fallos por si al dueño le interesa modificarlos, fallos que no han sido para nosotros inconvenient alguno para disfrutar de unas vacaciones soñadas, lo cual así ha sido y recomiendo el lugar sin lugar a dudas, pues es muy acojedora. También añadiría que algunas ventanas no tienen mosquiteras una de las semicirculares del salón que se abre, la del baño adaptado tampoco, estaría bien ponerlas pues en la zona hay muchos mosquitos dado que existe una desembocadura de un río cerca.
