We had planned a weekend trip to the Thuringian Forest. Stützerbach near Ilmenau seemed like a good starting point for us. We were not disappointed. There was a friendly welcome with briefing on the local area and a few nice tips for excursions. The apartment was in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a rain shower (could be a bit hotter ;-)) The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired (oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster are there). The location is great for extensive hiking tours.

Very generous, well-equipped, and new (e.g., dishwasher, many glasses, pots and dishes, large TV, fast Wi-Fi), nice bathroom with a window, barrier-free access, parking right in front of the door, very friendly landlady who gave helpful tips (for example, recommended the highly recommended courtyard café).

Simply perfect for a weekend getaway! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The heating kept the place warm and comfortable, which was ideal given the cool weather. We had a great time hiking in the Thüringer Wald and visiting the Rennsteiggarten Oberhof.

We had a great time in this bright apartment in Ilmenau. The location was perfect for our little getaway, just a few steps from the forest and a few minutes' drive from the lake beach. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we prepared good meals together. One thing, it could have used a few more utensils. But overall, it was comfortable and affordable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay!

Modern furnishings, excellent beds (!), great vacation home for 2 people in a beautiful city to see, in the heart of the UNESCO biosphere reserve Thüringer Wald! Excellent hiking opportunities right outside the door, there are also great possibilities for winter sports nearby. We would love to return in the warm season as well.
