We were warmly welcomed by the Weißer family. As a welcome there was coffee, water and cake. The house was shown to us. After spending the night, the Weisser couple inquired whether everything was okay. The stream with the mill wheel in front of the house makes the overall idyllic location even more romantic. We spent the evening on the terrace behind the house. We can only highly recommend this holiday home. It was our first but definitely not our last vacation in the holiday home. We were at the Weiβer family on vacation in the "Alte Mühle", really a super holiday. It is not a five star resort but a five star cottage atmosphere. We have a nice time in the Alte Mühle. It is a cozy cottage with a nice sitting area and a nice warm stove. The children liked to play in, there's plenty of room. The beds are wonderful. It is "very cold at night, even in August! So take along bulky clothing. The cottage lies in the shadows, there is only around noon sun on the terrace. The playground is located about 100 m from the house, at the farm. Our two oldest (2 and 4) We have played on the swings, the slide, with the tractor and in to the table. We were welcomed with home-made cake and a fresh bottle of spray water in the refrigerator. Very welcome to a heat wave. The house itself is small and dark, there is little light coming in. Positive is that you can keep the house reasonably fresh during a heat wave. It was impossible to take a satisfying shower: it took a long time before there was hot water that was immediately too hot to immediately get cold again. Very friendly reception. On arrival we were offered tea and cake. During our stay it was sometimes cold "evening and the owner came to help us several times with the fire and ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. The house itself is cozy inside (including the old soapstone stove) but really outdated. Apart from the refrigerator and TV, there is probably nothing has changed in the last 30 years. We were welcomed with home-made cake and a fresh bottle of spray water in the refrigerator. Very welcome to a heat wave. The house itself is small and dark, there is little light coming in. There is no nice view, on one side you look at a lot of trees, the other side overlooks the driveway and the owner's house. Not a nice panoramic view. Positive is that you can keep the house reasonably fresh during a heat wave. It was impossible to take a satisfying shower: it took a long time before there was hot water that was immediately too hot to immediately get cold again. Although we had agreed that we would water the flowers, the owner came along when we were gone. Once she even came in when we were not there. I think that is not possible, as a tenant we also have our privacy. The last day we would leave early, so the owner came to pay the evening before. What a wonderful welcome from the hostess! There was delicious home-baked cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for us. For our first week in the black forest, we had rented this old mill. A bull's eye, that was obvious from the moment we arrived. The hostess greeted us with a friendly and showed us the house. Everything was really wonderful, a nice home (with TV), a beautiful dining area, wooden bench included, a beautiful stove that the whole house could heat (not that it was necessary because it was really beautiful weather) and a top floor with two bedrooms and bathroom.
