Nestled in the scenic Holiday Park Frankenau, this cozy holiday home enjoys one of the best locations in the park, offering wide, unobstructed views of the rolling hills and the charming town of Frankenau. Set at the edge of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, it’s just a few steps from stunning forest trails and guided nature walks with a forester.

The home offers a unique layout with the top floor accessible via an external staircase, ideal for families or friends seeking both privacy and shared time together. The nearby Edersee, the largest lake in Germany, is perfect for water sports like canoeing, sailing, diving, and swimming.

Culture lovers can visit nearby towns like Bad Arolsen, Waldeck, and Frankenberg, while winter visitors can head to the ski slopes in Willingen or Winterberg.

The park offers (for a fee): tennis courts, mini golf, beach volleyball, squash, a petting zoo, indoor games, a restaurant, and bike rentals.

Overall, an uncomplicated experience. The accommodation had all the basic amenities we needed, including a TV and a high chair for the little one. The location is great for exploring the area.

The holiday home was well equipped with a kitchen and even a washing machine, which made our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking meals and having breakfast on the terrace while enjoying the fresh air.

A solid choice for families! The kitchen made meal preparation easier, and the game room kept the kids entertained when we wanted to relax. Additionally, the proximity to the national park is a big advantage.

We had a wonderful stay at the Frankenau holiday park! The views from our balcony were breathtaking, especially during sunset. The location is perfect for nature lovers, with hiking trails just a few steps away.

The house has become a bit run-down, but everything necessary is on site. Everything is a bit mixed together, but okay. The lady who prepared the house for us and handed over the keys was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, in both bathrooms, either the sink or the toilet was leaking. She was helpful, but the owner was unreachable. Despite my repeated request/question about whether the departure can be later, there has been no response from the owner or the agent. The house is beautifully located in a nature reserve. Shopping options and restaurants are available. Anyone who loves nature and needs a place to unwind is exactly right here.

The holiday home was overall quite okay, but there are some points that need improvement. Upon our arrival, the dishes were not particularly clean, which somewhat spoiled the first impression. Additionally, one of the toilet seats was very wobbly, which was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we could not use the garden as the grass was at least half a meter high. However, I would like to highlight the very well-functioning heating – especially on cooler days, it was pleasant – and the available washing machine, which is really practical on vacation.
