Located in the peaceful village of Lichtenhain, near Sebnitz, this spacious ground-floor apartment is perfect for up to 6 guests. With two bedrooms—one with a double bed, the other with a double bed (180 x 200 cm) and bunk bed—it’s ideal for families or small groups.

The open kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic 4-ring stove, oven, combination microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, filter coffee machine, and even a waffle iron—perfect for home-cooked meals and cozy breakfasts. The living/dining room includes a flatscreen satellite TV, radio, and dining table. The bathroom features a shower, washbasin, and toilet, while central heating ensures year-round comfort.

Guests can enjoy a shared 1000 m² garden with pond, play equipment, parasol, and charcoal barbecue (on request). A cot, high chair, washing machine, and paid tumble dryer add extra convenience. Parking and bicycle storage are available on-site.

The apartment is quite practical for families, The two bedrooms worked well for us, and we appreciated having a washing machine on-site, The garden is lovely, though we didn't spend too much time outside, Overall, a solid choice for a family getaway,

The value for money is excellent, and the kitchen equipment is very good. We found some useful things left by previous guests, like salt and pepper. However, it would be advisable to bring your own spices. The bedding is nice and everything seems quite new. The apartment was a bit cool and damp, but with house slippers, it was pleasant. The top bunk in the bunk bed makes noise. Towels were provided, but they were small and there were no shower towels. The location is really beautiful, close to the Lichtenhain waterfall and the monkey stones. A lovely village with a beautiful courtyard, perfect for relaxing outdoors! Everything was very simple.

The accommodation was pleasant, but the lack of communication about the tourist tax before booking was frustrating. When contacting Airbnb, the messages were sent to a third party who was not present. It seemed that there was no coordination with the host on-site. Contacting her with questions was a challenge, as the given numbers led to people who were not familiar with the accommodation. Moreover, the tourist tax was hardly mentioned in the listing (they referred to 'mandatory fees' without clarity until after the reservation). Had I known earlier, I might have chosen a different Airbnb. Many places we stayed at clearly indicate the tourist tax. Nevertheless, the location was great and ideal for exploring the area. In the future, I would prefer to book directly with Ferienwohnung Ritscher to avoid these issues.
