The Giant of Holebeke has unfortunately lost its sails, but the atmosphere and unique ambiance make up for a lot. Warmly welcomed by owner Diane and prior to that, there was already the necessary email exchange with tips and advice for visits in the area. Unfortunately, there is indeed some maintenance needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The surroundings are beautiful. You can walk and cycle wonderfully there. The fenced garden is perfect for my dog; there is plenty to discover.

The Giant of Horebeke is a fantastic retreat! The interior is simple but charming. We loved the spacious living room and the two bathrooms were a bonus for our family. Close to beautiful hiking trails, and we even rented bikes for a fun day out.

We particularly liked the spacious garden, where our children could play freely while we enjoyed a barbecue on the terrace. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made meal preparation easy. It is also conveniently located near some lovely places, such as the Sint-Martinuskerk, which was just a nice short walk away. Highly recommended for families wanting to relax in nature!

Delicious cycling had in the Flemish Ardennes. We have a large part of the Tour of Flanders cycling. The giant Horebeke was a great location for this. We were warmly received. The dog was even a big bone ready. In the shed we could lose our bikes. Polled two days in advance to our needs, heating was on well in time, a crate of local beer was cold outside and a phone call after arrival to ask if everything was okay.

We stayed in the mill for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The owner Diana was just gorgeous and ever so helpful! The mill was clean and tidy and the grounds were very well kept. It was very quiet and extremely private. The only downsize was the dog next door but my sons soon became very friendly with her so in the end it was not an issue. I would recommend the mill to friends and family for sure.

The mill and garden are special! Although it is a little tedious to live as a family on three levels with as narrow staircases, but it was still an experience! The garden is large and wildly romantic and the location is very quiet! We have taken day trips from here to Ghent, Bruges, Brussels and Waterloo. Almost every evening we sat in the garden and enjoyed the atmosphere (here it is daylight until 22.00 clock!). The only thing that would be in need of improvement is the cleanliness of the mill. Because we had to refit a little!
