We stayed in "De Baraque" with 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 baby. The welcome was very warm and we received a nice tour and a very nice bottle of Picon as a welcome gift. It is a beautiful, modern home with all the trimmings. The nature around the house radiated tranquility. There was sufficient tourist information in the house. We visited Poperinge, Bar Bernard in Watou and walked the "Dead Iron Walking Route". It was a very pleasant 3-days and Bert and Nele are top people who do their job with heart and soul.

Bert & Nelle are fantastic and above all warm people. Bert was the host, upon arrival he was really a host. Friendly, thoughtful and offered our group a tasty beer from the region and told some history about the origins and making of hops. Only got to know Nelle on the day of departure, but she immediately walked upstairs to see if we had forgotten anything, very sweet. We were also offered to check out a little later after consultation. This was possible because no other guests were staying afterwards. A really great stay, everything was almost new, very clean and available. Bert had made the beds without us indicating who would sleep where, a professional assumption and also very thoughtful. Came to clearly ask what our needs were for exploring the area and gave some tips. Sometimes I came to say hello and have a chat. Very hospitable and cozy. We made use of the special BBQ, which is truly an experience and therefore highly recommended. Furthermore explored the area around Dunkerque due to the history surrounding the Second World War. It was impressive. All in all a fantastic stay, we will definitely come back! Thank you.

We were welcomed in a very warm way by Nele and Bert. A cottage that looked just like the pictures. Immediately felt at home. We will return without a doubt and highly recommend this location.

Arrival was nice, we were received openly. Accommodation was very nice; cars were allowed behind the gate. Environment offers a lot of peace; for people who are very active you have to drive a car. Top.

We really enjoyed this fantastic holiday home. Everything was super neat, well maintained and a well equipped kitchen to make it a nice holiday! You immediately feel at home. The owners are super friendly, very helpful and easy communication. In short, we had a great time with them. Definitely recommended and worth repeating in our opinion!

We booked the weekend of 7, 8 and 9 Oct. 2023. It was very pleasant to stay in “De Baraque”. Everything was neatly arranged, the house was very clean. A beauty of a kitchen with everything you need. I must say the entire ground floor with fireplace was large but very pleasant. 2 minor drawbacks: I prefer showers on the same floor as the bedrooms, now you have to go downstairs to take a shower… The walls (probably from Gyproc) could also be a bit thicker. You hear everything from your neighbor, so to speak. But all in all a very nice location and pleasant owners. I can only recommend it for groups up to 8 people.

A super nice and clean very hygienic house and environment. Friendly welcome! (I called these people to double check everything in advance, because we still had doubts about canceling)! But the house and the surroundings are unfortunately not child-friendly (not recommended with small children, it is stated on the site) the people themselves are child friendly! You also have no privacy, the owners live in your garden and can watch everything, even partially in the house below. What was also a big downside were the flies, which made the stay really unpleasant, especially to be able to eat. Around the 50 flies in is really no lie, it was really no fun and so nasty. After a tour of an hour where everything was explained in detail, mr forgot to tell you that they have heard that they can be operated automatically down, very bad to forget this!! Unfortunately also 2 nights where the air conditioning did not work so sleeping was not possible because of the heat, but all this was manageable. Until the last day of departure...!Unfortunately, Mr. was already in our garden at half past nine or we wanted to hurry because we had to get out at 10 am. And if he could already start cleaning outside, because they had new guests again. (Check-in is from 4 pm) This is why we judge our experience as a decisive factor, because we were rushed and worked out and if we also mention about the flies and air conditioning, we got the answer yes that is normal flying here and the air conditioning yes no idea... You heard super deluxe they hang there for a reason, so this was super important to mention! But our idea was that they were probably afraid the kids would break these? We really stepped on our toes to make sure that the children wouldn't damage anything (as I said child unfriendly house, also nothing in the garden to play). In our opinion, that has put a damper on it, so not worth repeating and again not recommended with children, you noticed that o

As a group of young people we were very satisfied with our stay. We understand the doubts of renting out your house to people of our age, but we have been well received by the landlords. Bert and Nele were very pleasant people to us, regardless of their doubts. The house itself is wonderfully modern and beautiful, nothing to complain about. We had a good stay!

Very nice and spacious house. Everything was in very good order, clean and equipped. The house is quietly located and there are plenty of places in the area to go for a walk or to visit business. (tip: the domain of De Lovie) we will most likely come back in the future, with the rest of the family of course this time

Arrival was nice, we were received openly. Accommodation was very nice; cars were allowed behind the gate. Environment offers a lot of peace; for people who are very active you have to drive a car. Top.

We were welcomed in a very warm way by Nele and Bert. A cottage that looked just like the pictures. Immediately felt at home. We will return without a doubt and highly recommend this location.

Very nice and spacious house. Everything was in very good order, clean and equipped. The house is quietly located and there are plenty of places in the area to go for a walk or to visit business. (tip: the domain of De Lovie) we will most likely come back in the future, with the rest of the family of course this time

Beautiful view from the house. Everything is in perfect order and the kitchen is very practically furnished with more than enough conveniences. A very comfortable large bathroom - second bathroom is neat but very small. Very friendly welcome by the owners.

A super nice and clean very hygienic house and environment. Friendly welcome! (I called these people to double check everything in advance, because we still had doubts about canceling)! But the house and the surroundings are unfortunately not child-friendly (not recommended with small children, it is stated on the site) the people themselves are child friendly! You also have no privacy, the owners live in your garden and can watch everything, even partially in the house below. What was also a big downside were the flies, which made the stay really unpleasant, especially to be able to eat. Around the 50 flies in is really no lie, it was really no fun and so nasty. After a tour of an hour where everything was explained in detail, mr forgot to tell you that they have heard that they can be operated automatically down, very bad to forget this!! Unfortunately also 2 nights where the air conditioning did not work so sleeping was not possible because of the heat, but all this was manageable. Until the last day of departure...!Unfortunately, Mr. was already in our garden at half past nine or we wanted to hurry because we had to get out at 10 am. And if he could already start cleaning outside, because they had new guests again. (Check-in is from 4 pm) This is why we judge our experience as a decisive factor, because we were rushed and worked out and if we also mention about the flies and air conditioning, we got the answer yes that is normal flying here and the air conditioning yes no idea... You heard super deluxe they hang there for a reason, so this was super important to mention! But our idea was that they were probably afraid the kids would break these? We really stepped on our toes to make sure that the children wouldn't damage anything (as I said child unfriendly house, also nothing in the garden to play). In our opinion, that has put a damper on it, so not worth repeating and again not recommended with children, you noticed that o

Beautiful holiday home. Fully equipped (inside and outside). Owners are very friendly. Warm welcome. Nice contact before, but also afterwards (also up to you). Living on the same complex, but you don't notice that. Highly recommended and in our opinion a big ten!

We booked the weekend of 7, 8 and 9 Oct. 2023. It was very pleasant to stay in “De Baraque”. Everything was neatly arranged, the house was very clean. A beauty of a kitchen with everything you need. I must say the entire ground floor with fireplace was large but very pleasant. 2 minor drawbacks: I prefer showers on the same floor as the bedrooms, now you have to go downstairs to take a shower… The walls (probably from Gyproc) could also be a bit thicker. You hear everything from your neighbor, so to speak. But all in all a very nice location and pleasant owners. I can only recommend it for groups up to 8 people.

We really enjoyed this fantastic holiday home. Everything was super neat, well maintained and a well equipped kitchen to make it a nice holiday! You immediately feel at home. The owners are super friendly, very helpful and easy communication. In short, we had a great time with them. Definitely recommended and worth repeating in our opinion!

As a group of young people we were very satisfied with our stay. We understand the doubts of renting out your house to people of our age, but we have been well received by the landlords. Bert and Nele were very pleasant people to us, regardless of their doubts. The house itself is wonderfully modern and beautiful, nothing to complain about. We had a good stay!
