If you fancy spending your holiday in a unique place, then this farmhouse in Durbuy which is distinct and attractive is an apt choice. There are 3 bedrooms to house 7, making it ideal for a large family. There is a sauna facility to heal the tired souls and a terrace and garden (shared) to enjoy the outdoors.
There is a forest, 1 km away, where you can go for walks. The buzzing town centre of Wéris, 2 km away can be visited for shopping or enjoying meals.
The centrally heated farmhouse has a spacious hallway where you'll see a wood-burning stove shaped like an engine block and the space around it is carved out like a cave. This theme continues up the stairs that wind upwards like rocky steps. In the living room there's a stairway made of a tree trunk, and the whole property has been done in similar fashion, while providing all comforts. Barbecue, boules court and parking are other available facilities.
Barvaux train station is the nearest, 7 km away.

Very original, but some impractical things: there is very little storage space (cupboards, hangers for clothes, ...) and there is some kitchen equipment, but many of those things are dated or broken. The beds are very soft and so they collapse. Make sure you haven't drunk too much, because it is a bit of scrambling in the bed that is in the ridge :) Toilet seats are loose and the shower occasionally overflows Besides these details, it is a lovely stay, with a large garden, a delightful roof terrace and plenty of space. There is little in the area within walking distance, but with a car, you can enjoy cruising in the area!

We are incredibly warmly received. Got a tour and useful info and twas a week our home. It is cozy and warm and cozy and nice and you just relax. Tasty cooking together in the nicest and most convenient kitchen. Play games at the long table with just the view everywhere. Petanque !!! awesome! We have done that twice. Fantabulous place. It was really a very nice stay. We have been there at the weekend with the kids and 3 family members and the midweek together. Highly recommended in both cases. Children loved it. The owner is very nice and accessible. We will definitely come back here again.

Upon entering the cottage you can see a wooden sign with "Most unique holiday home of 2017" on it, but in our opinion that still applies for 2022. The owners have done their utmost to make it a special experience and that it worked. The photos of the cottage are nice to see but do not do justice to the experience on site. In particular, the few photos of the garden do not reflect reality; It is en. really very nicely laid out and gives a lot of space to enjoy. We would like to come back here!

This house is nothing short of amazing. The entire interior is a tribute to creativity and excellence. It has everything to help you enjoy stay. Fully equipped kitchen, hammock under a weeping willow, outdoor sittings for every time of day., this is the cleanest rental We have ever encountered and the beds are super. We have not used the beautiful sauna yet, but can imagine it’s a treat in fall and winter. Our host is helpful and kind and we appreciate his ability to make us feel right at home.

Wat een fantastische woning! Je hebt het idee dat je in een woning van een Hobbit bent. Het is schoon en in de keuken staat fantastische apparatuur. De eigenaar heeft alles zelf gemaakt en gerenoveerd en neemt alle tijd om uitleg te geven. We hebben ook nog een kijkje mogen nemen in zijn andere woning die er naast ligt. Dus mocht je een uitstapje willen met 12 personen kun je beide pandjes huren. Het is echt top!!

Special fairytale-like accommodation, especially the big house. Not suitable for people bad to leg and small children, especially the staircase is dangerous. Furthermore, every adult has once bumped his head to the low beams. The large house is specially arranged and decorated but not always as practical. The bedroom on the second floor is difficult to use due to the sloping roof. Spacious kitchen with all amenities, the whole was clean on arrival. Quiet surroundings, lots of walking possibilities.

On arrival we were welcomed and given a tour with sufficient explanation. A stay in this house is truly an experience in itself, with a unique decor, carved staircase and an eye for detail in every room! The interior was undoubtedly designed by an interior designer. The wood stove could easily heat all floors and the central heating was set in such a way that you never had any cold. The sauna was also a nice plus during the winter. All amenities were available in the spacious kitchen, including a handsome Falcon stove! The bedrooms were cozy & warmly decorated, the bathrooms stylish & comfortable. In short, an absolute must for the added value seeker!

Perhaps less suitable for people who prefer the practicality over the wow factor, but perfect for us for a few days of lockdown. Compliments to the cleaning lady, everything was very neat. Sympathetic caretaker. To be repeated!

An enthusiastic welcome with a full explanation of the houses. The accommodation was cozy and very original. All houseware was in top condition. A downside is that at the top of the stairs there is a crossbar where everyone larger than 1m50 hits his head (very dangerous) - we have a marking with a towel.

Everything was good and fine. We enjoyed with our 4 kids aged 8, 8, 11 and 14 years. Durbuy adventure valley was especially popular here. Cottage was clean and well-kept, friendly welcome by the owners.

Very original and nicely decorated house. Everything fits together. All necessary appliances and kitchen utensils are also available. The house is neat and well maintained. A large garden usable for both children and adults. The location is very nice, quiet and yet close to shops (about 6 kilometers from Carrefour and Aldi). And not to forget: a very friendly and helpful manager.
