We enjoyed our stay in the house "La Belle Jardinière" and as the name says, the beautiful garden. The garden has plenty of space with beautiful shrubs, flowers and trees. The children can have fun without having them constantly need to be (the garden is fenced). The house is practically designed with a large luxury kitchen, 3 bathrooms (2 of which are a bit musty smell) and nice decorated bedrooms. Do not book with 12 people. The 2 sleeping in the attic above the terrace are just a very dangerous steep stairs to reach. To do a weekend fine but do not expect luxury. What a gem of a place! The decor was enchanting and the layout of the house perfectly suited our needs. The sauna was a favorite among the adults after a long day out. I highly recommend visiting the nearby La Roche Museum for a bit of history during your stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday House in Ronchampay! The spacious layout was perfect for our family gathering, with plenty of room for the kids to play in the garden and the game room. The infrared sauna was a delightful bonus after a long day of hiking in the beautiful Ardennes. We also enjoyed several barbecues on the terrace. The nearby Feudal Castle was a hit with everyone, and we appreciated having shops and restaurants a short drive away. Highly recommended for large groups!

It is a nice big house with a beautiful garden. A bit old, with some flaws. High ceilings with many beams and therefore a lot of cobwebs and very dust spiders. The floors were clean. When leaving the house, I saw that the shower mats were immediately exchanged for clean ones. That's also nice to know. Owner is very nice and friendly. She only speaks a little bit of Dutch. So communication was difficult.

We booked this stay two weeks ago. We paid 500 euro deposit and were promised to get it back two days after we left. Ever since we have left the house owner is unreachable. Doesn't answer the phone doesn't reply to email. What a horrible experience.. DONT BOOK THIS HOUSE. The house is old and needs renovation and on top of that we just feel scammed. The owner looks like an innocent old lady, but goes missing when she received the deposit.

A beautiful location but little to nothing to do in the immediate vicinity. Upon arrival we had to pay a € 500 deposit for the expenses of gas, water and electricity. The rest of the amount would be transferred back to us. In the meantime, we are more than 14 days later, but still have not seen anything (still about € 350 in credit). Under the description of the house it says charming and authentic, but we experienced the house rather as tired and dirty. Many dust nets everywhere, the crockery, pans, etc. are not in well-closed cupboards. The bathrooms are poorly ventilated. The sauna and massage chairs are in the garage and are not attractive to stay in, so no wellness experience. There were street cats in the garden that also regularly came in, which was disturbing. There was no outside BBQ which is a shame. The curtains were full of dust. People with allergies to cats and dust mites should avoid this property. On departure, the owner had comments including a broken lamp in the sauna, but we did not use it and we believe it falls under normal wear and tear. The owner claimed that the sliding window in the room was not working but was perfectly fine. She accused the children of these matters. We got part of the deposit back without details. If we calculate the costs ourselves according to the contract, we should get more back. In summary: not recommended.

on arrival we were kindly received by the owner. She had already created the fireplace, which created a cozy atmosphere. But the fireplace also served a different purpose: only that space (kitchen) can get warm. Furthermore, it has been so cold in the house all weekend that it is actually not suitable for winter rental. The electric heaters in the other rooms have been on all weekend, but that didn't help. We have still not received the final bill after more than a week at home. The deposit of € 500 is not included. Owner also does not respond to requests for contact. Very sloppy. Furthermore, the house is not clean. There were even mouse pellets under the couch! The sauna that decided to rent the house for us did not work ... The drain in the kitchen was clogged. The garden is immensely neglected and some bedrooms have no curtains, very annoying. In short: too much money (600 €) for 2 nights. Fortunately we were in good company, so we still had a nice weekend.

Because we were a little later, we had to pick up the key in the Liège area. That was not a problem because we drove past it, but unfortunately the lady who had to give us the key was too late due to traffic jams on the road. Not a big problem in the end. Upon arrival in the village we had to search for the right house. In the end it was very nice that the house was a little hidden, because it offered extra privacy. The house is in a very small village, near La Roche-en-Ardenne. From the village you can make walks along meadows and to a forest. The house itself is a special, fun, maze-like place. Rooms have several doors that in turn lead to different other rooms and are hatches above a number of stairs, so that you keep meeting each other in unexpected ways in one of the many rooms. We have stayed in the cottage with 11 people and it was always big enough for everyone to do their own thing.

Charming cottage. Enough space for 2 families of 5. The fridge is in urgent need of replacement because cooling is very poor, so be careful with meat! Accommodation was ok. Everything was present. We have experienced arrival and reception as very pleasant. The stove in the kitchen was already stoked and we have clear friendly explanation about the house. The rest of the house was difficult to get warm, there were only electric heaters and there was a huge void which made it difficult to put on. The house was very attractive, authentically decorated and the contents very complete. The garden and the surroundings are beautiful. Unfortunately the house had a lot of overdue maintenance. There was a chair broken, the dishwasher did not work after 1 x turning, 1 toilet was blocked and another toilet just kept going after a day. All defects that one easily passes over, especially if the owner gives 50 euro discount for not working the dishwasher ..... we thought ..... Unfortunately the settlement did not run smoothly. After 4 weeks still no notice about the deposit, until I see on my bank statement that my deposit has been withheld due to the broken dishwasher. That was not the appointment. After calling and e-mailing with Belvilla this is STILL not resolved. I have still not received any payment. Very badly arranged! Too bad, because the house is very charming .....

Did the last weekend of June 2010 had a fantastic stay. A very spacious house with a very nice large kitchen with fireplace adjoining barbecue and a beautiful and spacious private garden, where our granddaughter of 2 could play to their hearts content. For us the cottage was excellent, very spacious, cozy and three showers. However, the owner is very late to the refund of the deposit, the holiday is over two weeks and I still do not know what I get back, and if I get something back. With 11 adults at weekend as a surprise for my wife's birthday celebration. It was cozy in the house. Because we were a little later, we had to pick up the key in the Liège area. That was not a problem because we drove past it, but unfortunately the lady who had to give us the key was too late due to traffic jams on the road. Not a big problem in the end. Upon arrival in the village we had to search for the right house. In the end it was very nice that the house was a little hidden, because it offered extra privacy. The house is in a very small village, near La Roche-en-Ardenne. From the village you can make walks along meadows and to a forest. The house itself is a special, fun, maze-like place. Rooms have several doors that in turn lead to different other rooms and are hatches above a number of stairs, so that you keep meeting each other in unexpected ways in one of the many rooms. We have stayed in the cottage with 11 people and it was always big enough for everyone to do their own thing.

We have experienced arrival and reception as very pleasant. The stove in the kitchen was already stoked and we have clear friendly explanation about the house. The rest of the house was difficult to get warm, there were only electric heaters and there was a huge void which made it difficult to put on. The house was very attractive, authentically decorated and the contents very complete. The garden and the surroundings are beautiful. Unfortunately the house had a lot of overdue maintenance. There was a chair broken, the dishwasher did not work after 1 x turning, 1 toilet was blocked and another toilet just kept going after a day. All defects that one easily passes over, especially if the owner gives 50 euro discount for not working the dishwasher ..... we thought ..... Unfortunately the settlement did not run smoothly. After 4 weeks still no notice about the deposit, until I see on my bank statement that my deposit has been withheld due to the broken dishwasher. That was not the appointment. After calling and e-mailing with Belvilla this is STILL not resolved. I have still not received any payment. Very badly arranged! Too bad, because the house is very charming .....

For the summer this is a great house, but what the winter or cold period is concerned it has been a precious weekend to get cozy warm, we estimate + / - 150 Euros for the weekend (gas, electric & wood) without the infrared use. Beautiful and definitely quiet house. Weather sucked, yet the kids (8 and 11y) and the large & quotkids "not bored (large games room with table football and ping pong table.) Shopping fell slightly against (all quite far) but as we only stayed there three days was also that no real problem

A beautiful house with lovely large, private and well maintained garden. Fine kitchen with a fireplace that we did to each evening. Refrigerator and garbage were not calculated on 12 persons. It was a very pleasant holiday. Everything is provided. It is not modern, but a real chalet for the Ardennes, we found this very cozy. The separate playroom for the kids is great fun. We have our family (grandfather, grandmother, children and grandchildren) had a nice weekend in this charming house near La Roche. For the children there was plenty to do, both inside and outside. What a pity that we had from the house is not really a tour could make. To really walk you'll be stuck with the car further to drive. Nice house with nice big garden. Kitchen is cozy for the long evenings and games room with table tennis and table football provides many hours of great pleasure. Charming Ardennes house which is very quiet. Forests and fields for hiking or mountain biking are nearby. For La Roche to visit or shop or bakery you have to take the car. There is a lovely garden and terrace in the summer should be great for barbecuing. The house was not heated upon arrival, it was freezing outside and it took hours before the house was heated. We were with our family and grandchildren in this very cozy and charming huis.Wat luxury with 3 bathrooms! The keueken is also optimally equipped and the children could themselves from old to young love the separate speelruimte.Met 13 people there is a nice place, only we had (father and mother) a very bad bed! Did the last weekend of June 2010 had a fantastic stay. A very spacious house with a very nice large kitchen with fireplace adjoining barbecue and a beautiful and spacious private garden, where our granddaughter of 2 could play to their hearts content. We were 8 adults and 1 child. For some people, the house was amply sufficient. The presence of a table tennis table, table football and boules pitch made the stay very pleasant. The bedrooms are quite noisy, we have taken for granted, since at the end of the day it was blown sleep after all activities.

Staying at Belvilla was very pleasant. La Roche is very nice. In the house especially we liked the fireplace in the kitchen and the special Rämlichkeiten, where you can retire well. The "hostess" was very accommodating and we felt well looked after.
