The fireplace was already burning on arrival. So was "a nice entry". We have rented this house several times, due to its location. You are in the center of the province of Luxembourg, where - in our view - the Ardennes are at their best in the fall. One downside: I called the manager because of a defective refrigerator. When we left a week later, this was still the case.

Beautiful setting with the cows almost on the doorstep. You walk into the forest from the house. Accommodation could use a makeover. Excellent wifi to watch TV via laptop. The TV that is on it comes from prehistoric times and does not work. No problem for us. Bedding is fine, kitchen linen very scanty.

We arrived and the owner was there within a few minutes. He gave us a small tour and some instructions. Unfortunately not enough to make the television work, but afterwards we did not need it. The accommodation is fantastic, beautiful view and as dog owners you are in nature within minutes. The property is somewhat dated, but everything we needed was available and it was also very clean. Fridge may need to be replaced. There are 4 comfortable armchairs, but a small bench we had found personally finer.

Voor wat betreft hygiene en TV sluit ik me aan bij eerdere reviews. Stond water in koelkast/vriesvak en zag er niet schoon uit. Stofzuigen alleen op de zichtbare plekken. Dat je hier schoonmaak kosten voor moet betalen is belachelijk. TV'tje dat sneeuwde met beperkt aantal zenders. Eigenaar spreek geen Nederlands of Engels , alleen Frans. De melding dat de verwarming het begeven had werd genegeerd. Gelukkig redelijk warm weer en de laatste dag maar de openhaard aangezet. Overigens met hout uit de supermarkt want er is geen nieuw hout door eigenaar gebracht. De oververhitte verwarming op dag 1 , waarschijnlijk reden van kapot gaan, had zeer veel electriciteit verbruikt. Kosten kwamen op onze rekening. De eigenaar had de verwarming ingesteld bij aankomst. Dus oververhitting lag zeker niet bij ons. Handdoeken aanwezig staat er op site. Klopt 1 per persoon. Houdt hier rekening mee. Na 2,5 week gaan sms'en voor retour borg. Uiteindelijk met inhouding van 2,5 euro, zonder opgaaf van reden, overgemaakt. Omgeving is mooi. Omliggende steden/dorpen goed en snel bereikbaar.

The cottage was certainly not fresh. Cleaning clearly left something to be desired, doors were dirty, the Fridge we first cleaned because the remnants of the previous tenants were clearly present. We had to thoroughly clean the hood and the filters first because I did not want to put my pans under this greasy stuff. The cottage was fun and the view was beautiful.

Manager arrived nicely on time. Cottage was expected with great view. Forest behind cottage contains a lot of wildlife and it was also enjoyable. Due to circumstances 1 person extra at last minute and this was fortunately no problem. Lack of heating was on (in summer?) And stayed for another 2 full days. 1 towel and set of bed linen per person is insufficient for stays of 2 weeks. In Tenneville there is a supermarket but this is more for basic necessities. Marche and Famenne has a lot more choice but is 20 minutes drive. Measure left strange countdown after 1 week, which seemed to be in no way in its starting position. Called over and this turned out to be no strange devil. You pay afterwards per used power and so on. Had not lost a hundred euros after two weeks.

The photo 's on the website are very dated, the interior looks much better! We were there with 2 dogs and 1 child 2.5 years and that went well. But bring the cot. The last bit is what style for the car, but our decent family car was fine and otherwise there beneath a garage where you can lose your car. Outside the picnic table, there are garden chairs and I was pleasantly surprised with the Internet! It was for the dogs love to just to be outside and our son has a lot of fun!

The stay in the chalet was very disappointing. The house did not smell very fresh when we entered and it was still quite dirty. It had been swept and mopped.

The refrigerator was not clean, there were still fingers on the kitchen cabinets, the order containers were not clean, there was dust everywhere. The frying pans cannot be used on the halogen hob because they were all convex or hollow. the toaster had hairs in it and was dingy. We have not used these. The oven was very dirty and we turned on the self-cleaning program before we baked sandwiches in it. The mattresses of the beds need to be replaced and the double bed creaked terribly. The two-seater sofa and 1 of the two armchairs have sagged and are not comfortable. The dining table is very low, even my wife (1.68 m) sat with her legs against the bottom of the table. The shower rod in the shower is also very loose.

The entire chalet actually deserves an upgrade because almost the entire interior is dated and needs to be replaced.

Worst of all, we actually find the bad beds so that we didn't really go home rested.

In itself we had a wonderful holiday in the beautiful surroundings, but we will not book this chalet again.

We thought it was a cozy cottage. We were there with 2 people and 3 dogs. The beds were nice. The cottage was good to keep warm, we had frost.

There were a few things to keep in mind as a tenant. There was no washing up liquid and no toilet paper. If you want to take a bath, you must bear in mind that there will be no more hot water for at least 7 hours, because the boiler has too little capacity.!

Furthermore, contact persons were very friendly and fortunately spoke Flemish.

Something that I regretted was that the traffic on the highway was clearly heard, also in the forest, but certainly at the house (not inside).

The cottage is located on a hill, with the forest directly behind it where you can walk with the dog. The view is indeed very nice and even though the busy road is nearby, you are not really bothered by noise. There are still a number of holiday chalets nearby, which means that you are actually in a mini holiday park. We had not understood that from the description, but because we had our holiday in a very quiet period, there were hardly any other guests around. The cottage itself is quite simple which is also reflected in the price. If you take slow wifi, creaky beds (we screwed them in ourselves) and floors for granted, "Alaska" is a good place to be. The service is top notch: when the refrigerator broke down, it was immediately replaced by the manager. You have to learn how to operate the heating in order to obtain a pleasant temperature in the living room: the charging radiator absorbs the heat at night and releases it as desired during the day. The huge panorama windows allow you to fully enjoy the surroundings and the cloud spectacle, but then nice in the shelter of your living room.In the "backyard" there are wild boars and deer, so dogs must always walk around on a leash. We stayed with 3 friends in the chalet last weekend. The house was very dirty: there were many cobwebs, the floor was sticky, there were a lot of hairs everywhere, and the dishes were also dirty. Some cups were missing a handle. In the bath, we found some spiders and the beds were very hard. In terms of comfort, the chalet left much to be desired. Too bad, because we paid 70 euros for cleaning costs. Hopefully, we will get this amount back. The surroundings of the chalet are really nice, because you are in the middle of greenery. Especially in autumn, that is very cool! Within a fifteen-minute drive, there are two nice towns, so that is nice too. But for the price we paid, we would have liked a bit more comfort.

Beautiful place. Very quiet. There are 3 steps to the bedroom. The toilet is downstairs in the hallway. There is central heating, but how does it work? We did not use the fireplace due to the dog's tails. Bathroom with shower and bath and a sink. Reasonable beds, 1x double and 1x 2 single beds. The mattress of the double bed was a bit soft in our opinion. The only point is the waste. Everything must be separated, but we only had 1 bag for cans and plastic. They do not know about bottle deposits, so the blue bag fills up quickly. We made no effort to get a 2nd bag. We separated the bottles and that worked. We would definitely come back!!

We stayed there together with our 2 dogs. The chalet was very clean. In the kitchen, everything needed to cook for yourself was present. The firewood was ready in the fireplace. The bedroom was also tidy. The owner is very friendly and was always available by phone. The chalet is located in a remote area at the end of an unpaved road and it is very quiet with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Just step outside and after 100 meters you are already in a nature reserve. A few kilometers in Tenneville, there is also a supermarket open 7 days a week. We will definitely go back there.

The cottage is located on a hill, with the forest directly behind it where you can walk with the dog. The view is indeed very nice and even though the busy road is nearby, you are not really bothered by noise. There are still a number of holiday chalets nearby, which means that you are actually in a mini holiday park. We had not understood that from the description, but because we had our holiday in a very quiet period, there were hardly any other guests around. The cottage itself is quite simple which is also reflected in the price. If you take slow wifi, creaky beds (we screwed them in ourselves) and floors for granted, "Alaska" is a good place to be. The service is top notch: when the refrigerator broke down, it was immediately replaced by the manager. You have to learn how to operate the heating in order to obtain a pleasant temperature in the living room: the charging radiator absorbs the heat at night and releases it as desired during the day. The huge panorama windows allow you to fully enjoy the surroundings and the cloud spectacle, but then nice in the shelter of your living room.In the "backyard" there are wild boars and deer, so dogs must always walk around on a leash. This applies everywhere in the neighborhood. For the longer walks, a short drive by car is required, because you are sitting fairly remote, which is very nice if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Holiday 2020, Chalet Alaska Tenneville Belgium, from 28-08 to 04-09-2020 Arrival by appointment, exactly 17:00 Reception: none. No one present. Voor wat betreft hygiene en TV sluit ik me aan bij eerdere reviews. Stond water in koelkast/vriesvak en zag er niet schoon uit. Stofzuigen alleen op de zichtbare plekken. Dat je hier schoonmaak kosten voor moet betalen is belachelijk. TV'tje dat sneeuwde met beperkt aantal zenders. Eigenaar spreek geen Nederlands of Engels , alleen Frans. De melding dat de verwarming het begeven had werd genegeerd. Gelukkig redelijk warm weer en de laatste dag maar de openhaard aangezet. Overigens met hout uit de supermarkt want er is geen nieuw hout door eigenaar gebracht. De oververhitte verwarming op dag 1 , waarschijnlijk reden van kapot gaan, had zeer veel electriciteit verbruikt. Kosten kwamen op onze rekening. De eigenaar had de verwarming ingesteld bij aankomst. Dus oververhitting lag zeker niet bij ons. Handdoeken aanwezig staat er op site. Klopt 1 per persoon. Houdt hier rekening mee. Na 2,5 week gaan sms'en voor retour borg. Uiteindelijk met inhouding van 2,5 euro, zonder opgaaf van reden, overgemaakt. Omgeving is mooi. Omliggende steden/dorpen goed en snel bereikbaar.

The stay in the chalet was very disappointing. The house did not smell very fresh when we entered and it was still quite dirty. It had been swept and mopped.

The refrigerator was not clean, there were still fingers on the kitchen cabinets, the order containers were not clean, there was dust everywhere. The frying pans cannot be used on the halogen hob because they were all convex or hollow. the toaster had hairs in it and was dingy. We have not used these. The oven was very dirty and we turned on the self-cleaning program before we baked sandwiches in it. The mattresses of the beds need to be replaced and the double bed creaked terribly. The two-seater sofa and 1 of the two armchairs have sagged and are not comfortable. The dining table is very low, even my wife (1.68 m) sat with her legs against the bottom of the table. The shower rod in the shower is also very loose.

The entire chalet actually deserves an upgrade because almost the entire interior is dated and needs to be replaced.

Worst of all, we actually find the bad beds so that we didn't really go home rested.

In itself we had a wonderful holiday in the beautiful surroundings, but we will not book this chalet again.

We thought it was a cozy cottage. We were there with 2 people and 3 dogs. The beds were nice. The cottage was good to keep warm, we had frost.

There were a few things to keep in mind as a tenant. There was no washing up liquid and no toilet paper. If you want to take a bath, you must bear in mind that there will be no more hot water for at least 7 hours, because the boiler has too little capacity.!

Furthermore, contact persons were very friendly and fortunately spoke Flemish.

Something that I regretted was that the traffic on the highway was clearly heard, also in the forest, but certainly at the house (not inside).

The stay in the chalet was very disappointing. The house did not smell very fresh when we entered and it was still quite dirty. It had been swept and mopped.

The refrigerator was not clean, there were still fingers on the kitchen cabinets, the order containers were not clean, there was dust everywhere. The frying pans cannot be used on the halogen hob because they were all convex or hollow. the toaster had hairs in it and was dingy. We have not used these. The oven was very dirty and we turned on the self-cleaning program before we baked sandwiches in it. The mattresses of the beds need to be replaced and the double bed creaked terribly. The two-seater sofa and 1 of the two armchairs have sagged and are not comfortable. The dining table is very low, even my wife (1.68 m) sat with her legs against the bottom of the table. The shower rod in the shower is also very loose.

The entire chalet actually deserves an upgrade because almost the entire interior is dated and needs to be replaced.

Worst of all, we actually find the bad beds so that we didn't really go home rested.

We thought it was a cozy cottage. We were there with 2 people and 3 dogs. The beds were nice. The cottage was good to keep warm, we had frost.

There were a few things to keep in mind as a tenant. There was no washing up liquid and no toilet paper. If you want to take a bath, you must bear in mind that there will be no more hot water for at least 7 hours, because the boiler has too little capacity.!

The service is top notch: when the refrigerator broke down, it was immediately replaced by the manager. You have to learn how to operate the heating in order to obtain a pleasant temperature in the living room: the charging radiator absorbs the heat at night and releases it as desired during the day. The huge panorama windows allow you to fully enjoy the surroundings and the cloud spectacle, but then nice in the shelter of your living room.In the "backyard" there are wild boars and deer, so dogs must always walk around on a leash. Voor wat betreft hygiene en TV sluit ik me aan bij eerdere reviews. Stond water in koelkast/vriesvak en zag er niet schoon uit. Stofzuigen alleen op de zichtbare plekken. Dat je hier schoonmaak kosten voor moet betalen is belachelijk. TV'tje dat sneeuwde met beperkt aantal zenders. Eigenaar spreek geen Nederlands of Engels , alleen Frans. De melding dat de verwarming het begeven had werd genegeerd. Gelukkig redelijk warm weer en de laatste dag maar de openhaard aangezet. Overigens met hout uit de supermarkt want er is geen nieuw hout door eigenaar gebracht. De oververhitte verwarming op dag 1 , waarschijnlijk reden van kapot gaan, had zeer veel electriciteit verbruikt. Kosten kwamen op onze rekening. De eigenaar had de verwarming ingesteld bij aankomst. Dus oververhitting lag zeker niet bij ons. Handdoeken aanwezig staat er op site. Klopt 1 per persoon. Houdt hier rekening mee. Na 2,5 week gaan sms'en voor retour borg. Uiteindelijk met inhouding van 2,5 euro, zonder opgaaf van reden, overgemaakt. Omgeving is mooi. Omliggende steden/dorpen goed en snel bereikbaar.
