Upon arrival at the former bread oven, you have the feeling of snug here immediately. Very nicely furnished and fully equipped. Our dog Jane immediately felt at home, she went straight into the garden to go wild, she also had a long journey back and wanted to stretch their legs. With a drink in hand, we continue to explore the cottage. Once the suitcases were unpacked we went for dinner and the rest of the night spent nothing. The next day at the Spar in Manhay for groceries in Malempre is just a bakery. Our daughter (15) and her friend (16), s "evening turned their room into a real girls room. Noticed them a bit disappointing that there is no pub in the village was where they could drink a beer. Then, but home to the Breezer. they also have quite a bit of walking together, they love horses and had thus soon found a horse that they had been baptized. We were there with our 6 month old son a long weekend in January. At the cottage was nothing to criticize. Be small, but we found that more comforting, it was very cozy. Environment is naturally beautiful, at least we knew from previous visits ardennes .. We found it namely not so with the weather. Where normal snow in January was now 8c. with very dense fog, 3 days. Let's say we have the house used optimally. We could see the church across the road barely see, so much been inside. And that was, again, quite good! Must.

Even though the house, seen in square meters, is not large, you still have a spacious feeling. The kitchen has everything you need. Everything is also provided in the living room. On the top floor are 2 spacious bedrooms, a small bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. The toilet is a fairly narrow space and the shower cubicle is also on the small side. This was no problem for us. However, I can imagine that it will be too small for some people. The tuim was also practically furnished, with a terrace on pebbles at the level of the kitchen/living room. Behind it, a staircase went up where the children can swing and there is a nice grass park. There is also a BBQ available. we couldn't use it because of the bad weather. The GR14 runs through the street next to the cottage and there is also a nice marked walk that starts in front of the cottage and passes at the Baraque de Fraiture. There is no shop or restaurant in the village, but Manhay is 3 km away with all necessary amenities. We also discovered some nice restaurants. We definitely recommend it for people who do not want great luxury in a quiet environment.

Positive: cozy little house and beautiful garden Negative: the description states that you must first pick up the key, but this is not the case. This one is just on the door, so wait for nothing until four o'clock! There were no pellets available for the pellet stove, we went to buy them ourselves because the owner had no more, very bad service! Roller blind in bedroom is defective, no kettle or whistling kettle available. Heating and extraction in bathroom defective. Power socket in living room dangerous.

With z "n two of us and our two dogs we enjoyed 5 days in this really cozy and clean house. That week was very hot during the day, but inside it was nice and cool thanks to the thick walls." In the evening we repeatedly lit the stove , easy, warm and super cozy. The garden is small but fully enclosed, allowing you to enjoy complete privacy even though you are sitting in the middle of the village. The only downside was that there were doing great work in the village which brought some noise, but all in all it was not too bad.

A cozy cottage is also very suitable for cold drizzly sleet weather: * The stove is doing well (wood in the shed in the backyard), our baby Rosalie 3 months has a great time watching the flames along with mom & dad. * Bath is pleasant (but pay attention to the clock in the fuse box: only "night, the badboiler charging) * Kitchen has lots of equipment (loose microwave, large microwave oven grill, gourmet set, frying, halogen cooker, dishwasher, good lighting), so very extensive cooking if it's not to long wandelen.Op upstairs is no heating on a small fan heater in the bathroom after, so plenty of quilts / blankets bring! A good cot is aanwezig.Het village has only a bakery with tasty sandwiches, and a sort of tavern which was not open during our L-weekend. want to see a little nice town you sit for half an hour in the car. We had a wonderful week vacation. The cottage is simple, clean and practical. The only downside is the many flies (the house is next to a farm), a screen door would not be a luxury. Whichever direction you go out to walk, after some 100 meters denotes the woods and / or meadows. Our dogs were overjoyed at; walks every day between 10 and 20 kilometers, then stretched out to rest in the grass of the well enclosed garden (and two city dogs!). A hundred meters from the house there is an excellent Crèmerie with delicious ice creams and crepes. In short, a aanrader.Karin, Leen, Linda, Biebel and Gipsy.

We have a nice trip behind. The cottage is small but cozy. There is TV and DVD player are available. Wood pellet stove. fully enclosed garden ideal for our 2 dogs. fully equipped kitchen. you have enough privacy and will not be disturbed. only small drawback is the mss something small office. I do think, especially if you go with a family with 2 children. beautiful surroundings with plenty of hiking bread on the weekends at 800m from the door. during the week in the village manhay about 5 min drive. We had a very nice holiday in a very cool house.

We have booked the house for 1 week. In the toilet was not even toilet paper, we would have to introduce a store looking to buy this. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms, they are very small, with no closet and no heating, there really are no radiators. Toilet is separate from bathroom. Toilet is very very small (1x1 meters). Bathroom is also without heating. Although The living room has 2 radiators, but only one works, and there's a fireplace. In the kitchen there "s almost everything you need, just what we were very missing is a kettle, otherwise everything is there and a great dishwasher. Way, you have to bring all bedding, towels, dish soap, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, including salt, pepper, if you want to cook there. couple times were snails in our kitchen, Wocher come we have no idea in the closet but is also mousetrap, ie one must not exclude the mice. garden is very small, closed up with fence door but without lock, so each can come in, this is sth uncertainty. The house is across the street from a cemetery, I dunno why no one writes in the reviews, obviously disrupts the any of us has but disturbed that has really not everyone likes, when we so around 7 clock

The arrival was a bit disappointing, because staying in the building right next to the cottage a large group of scouts who had no outside area and thereby made around the cottage for a lot of noise. Fortunately they left the first weekend so it was finally quiet - all produced the playing village children 'evening also quite a few decibels The cottage is quite allerleukst decorated although it is very small (only 1 side of 1 bedroom and no wardrobes).. and actually most suitable for two adults or one adult with up to two children instead of 4 to 5 persons. The small garden is completely fenced and has a playground, ideal for children and / or dogs. My dogs were already there much to their liking. Also nearby forest has given us a lot of fun. Just a pity that so few walks (good) are indicated.

Very cozy cottage, just like in the pictures. The cottage is not finished, but it also has its charm and did not bother us at all. In the kitchen there is everything you need (there were even coffee filters, herbs, dishwashers, etc.). We were less enthusiastic about the pellet stove, no manual available so it was first to find out how it worked, he makes a lot noise when it is on and you do not have the same heat as a wood stove (it was the first time we used a pellet stove). Nice house with garden and all the trimmings. Kitchen complete and beds are good. There is a little draft at the back door and the stove sometimes explodes when switched on, but when it goes it gets warm quickly. There is a lot of information about the neighbourhood. Malempre is a quiet place from which you can take beautiful walks. There is also plenty to do in the area for children (animal park La Roche and Parc Chlorophylle) and for the "big ones" the museum in Manhay about the Battle of the Bulge is a must.

Bij aankomst in het voormalig broodoventje heb je meteen het gevoel van lekker knus hier. Erg leuk ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Onze hond Jane voelde zich ook meteen thuis, ze ging meteen de tuin in om lekker te ravotten, ook zij had een lange reis achter de rug en wilde de benen strekken. Met een drankje in de hand zijn we het huisje verder gaan verkennen. Nadat de koffers waren uitgepakt zijn we wat gaan eten en de rest van de avond lekker niets gedaan. De volgende dag naar de Spar in Manhay voor de boodschappen, in Malempré is alleen een bakkertje. Onze dochter (15) en haar vriendin (16) hebben s'avonds hun kamer omgetoverd in een echte meidenkamer. Het viel ze wel een beetje tegen dat er geen café in het dorp was waar ze een biertje konden drinken. Dan maar thuis aan de breezer. Ook zij hebben samen nogal wat afgewandeld, ze zijn gek op paarden en hadden dus al gauw een paard gevonden die zij Tanja hadden gedoopt. Na twee dagen hadden zij een praatje met de eigenaar van het dier en bleek het paard Roxy te heten, hier is het nog Tanja. Wandelen kun je daar wel, maakt niet uit welke kant je op gaat. Mijn vrouw en ik zijn op een avond met het Manhay (6 dorpen) boek in de hand op zoek gegaan naar de gebouwen die er als prentbriefkaart in staan, zo zie je dus het hele dorpje. Verder hebben we een prachtige tijd gehad met boerderij naast ons. Die boer loopt om 23.00 uur nog met z'n kruiwagen in de rondte. Als we in de middag terug kwamen van La Roch, Spa of Bastogne was er altijd wel wat te beleven. We hebben ook meegemaakt dat de koeien (40 stuks) hun hoeven werden schoongemaakt en werden afgeslepen met een slijptol, dat werd gedaan door een hoefsmid die een beetje Nederlands sprak(gelukkig) Ik heb meteen gevraagd of hij aan de boer wilde vragen of we foto's van de binnenkant van stallen mochten maken, dat mochten we maar we moesten wel andere 'pôten' (schoenen) aan. Nou dat was geen weelde. In ieder geval hebben we het zeer naar ons zin gehad en als het binnen wat killer werd staken we de houtkachel aan, heel gezellig. Fam. Boeser Heerhugowaard

Wir haben den haus für 1 Woche gebucht. In der Toilette war nicht mal Toilettenpapier, wir müssten extra einen Laden suchen um dies zu kaufen. Auf dem zweiten Stock befinden sich 2 Schlafzimmer, sie sind sehr klein, ohne Schrank und ohne Heizung, da stehen wirklich keine Heizkörper. Toilette ist getrennt vom bad. Toilette ist sehr sehr klein (1x1 meter). Bad ist auch ohne Heizung. Im Wohnzimmer stehen zwar 2 Heizkörper, jedoch nur 1 funktioniert, und gibts ein Kamin. In die Küche gibt's fast alles was man braucht, nur was uns sehr gefehlt hat ist ein wasserkocher, ansonsten alles ist da und eine große Spülmaschine. Übrigens man muss alles mitbringen, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Spülmittel,Toilettenpapier, spülmaschinentabs, auch Salz, Pfeffer, wenn man da kochen möchte. Paar mal waren Schnecken bei uns in Küche, wocher die auch kommen haben wir keine Ahnung, im Schrank steht aber auch Mausefalle, d.h. man muss die Mäuse nicht ausschließen. Garten ist sehr klein, wird mit Zauntür zugemacht, jedoch ohne Schloss, kann jeder also rein kommen, dies ist etw. Unsicher. Das Haus steht gegen über von einen Friedhof, ich weiß nich warum schreibt das keiner in den bewertungen, offensichtlich stört das keinem, uns hat das aber gestört, das hat wirklich nicht jeder gerne! Als wir so gegen 7 uhr abend bisschen drausen spazieren gehen wollten und uns den gegend anschauen, haben wir bemerkt, dass uf der straße sehr große Hunde ohne Maulkorb und ohne Leine einfach frei rumlaufen, ohne den Besitzer, die waren in einer Größe eines Menschen bis zu der Taille ungefähr. Auf dem Dachboden krabbelten Mäuse und deswegen war es im Schlafzimmer sehr laut, ab 4 Uhr morgens man konnte gar nicht weiter schlafen. Keiner spricht englisch oder Deutsch, also nur französisch, was sehr unpraktisch ist. Also für Wochenende würde das gehen, aber wenn man etw. Länger da bleiben will meiner Meinung nach geht nicht. Ich würde es nicht weiter empfehlen! Sorry
