Let's be honest: the building and the interior are outdated, but that is also the charm of this house. Only the sanitary facilities (bathrooms and toilets) we really find unacceptable in 2024. The kitchen is large and convenient, everything you need is available and in sufficient quantities. The living space is cozy, although the dining table is on the small side, and the wood stove (bring your own wood) makes it even more enjoyable. The beds are comfortable. Beautiful large garden, accessibility is somewhat less, and in the autumn, you have to sit at the very back to enjoy the sun. The surroundings are great. You are right in the vast forests; you don't have to take the car to go for lovely walks.

Beautiful location in a quiet village, ideal to do walks. The property and equipment of the kitchen were above our expectations. It is a spacious house with spacious rooms authentic. Also the plumbing could be better, there is only one shower that does well. Now we do not fuss about it, but can imagine that there are people who have problems. This is our 2nd time that we stay in our Roumont so it is sure to please. For 10 people 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms offer enough privacy for a family weekend with 10 people. Cozy with wood stove and the necessary comfort except some beds and bathroom a bit old. Village itself has no shop and you do have the car for baker etc. Environmental very nice and quiet and 2 dogs and small children no problem for full size version with nice big garden fence is quite luxurious. Repeating.

We (6 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs) have celebrated New Year's Eve in "La Hetraie." Our stay in the chateau is our birth right. The kitchen is very comfortable and cozy living room. The bedrooms are very spacious and there are plenty of bathrooms. We have woods around Roumont crossed and are some times gone astray. A lovely Christmas break had in La Hetraie, it's a nice house where we stayed fine with 9 people. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. If you drive into the courtyard of the castle, near the centum of the small village, you're all in vacation. Inside are the beautiful living room and kitchen, very spacious bedrooms above. The large garden is fenced, perfect for kids and dogs. The kitchen is well equipped. Everything breathes the castle atmosphere, sometimes dated, but that actually fits well with the whole. The area is very quiet, nice to stay. Walking or in nature Smaller towns like Bastogne are nearby. Highly recommended with very good value.

Charming house with spacious bedrooms, creaky floors are not ideal for sleeping children and the heating oil tank shows regularly announces and the smell is not pleasant. Decor is cozy and original. The living and dining area are on the small side, so not ideal if you are forced by rain with three small children to sit inside. Biggest downside is the bathrooms, there is only 1 shower in a bathroom adjacent to one of the bedrooms. You need to sit down in the tub otherwise just water runs along the ceiling in the living room downstairs! Here they would therefore have to do something! The kitchen is adequately equipped. Great views from the garden, the play with swing is a bonus. We are sorry that no information is present in the house for walking and cycling routes in the area, including the caretaker did not have much to tell us, but very friendly reception. Good value accommodation.

We have nine friends (between 40 and 58 years) spent a wonderful week and New Year's Eve celebration in Roumont. Location is ideal, close to cities that are worth visiting (Bastogne, La Roche, ...), not far from Luxembourg and from the residence, you can immediately start to make beautiful and peaceful walks in the surrounding forests. The house is very authentic and charming style but comfort is present both in the bathrooms and in the kitchen. There really thought of everything to prepare a perfect meal for a large group. We have nine friends (between 40 and 58 years) spent a wonderful week and New Year's Eve celebration in Roumont. Location is ideal, close to cities that are worth visiting (Bastogne, La Roche, ...), not far from Luxembourg and from the residence, you can immediately start to make beautiful and peaceful walks in the surrounding forests. We were there with 10 people (family). The location of the house is beautiful and is very spacious. The bedrooms are large and there are plenty of bathrooms and toilets. We stayed there with the family on the weekend from 21 to 23 June 2019. Because we did not know exactly in advance how many children and grandchildren would make the trip, we received permission from the owner to put up a tent in the large garden if necessary place. Given the nice weather we were usually in the garden where 2 large tables, benches, garden chairs and even a barbecue are available. The accommodation is correct and the kitchen is very complete. The area is beautiful. Unfortunately, we found the tourist information rather accidentally only upon departure in a slider of the coffee table. A good hiking map e.g. on the smartphone is definitely recommended. We only saw after a very large detour with even a short walk along the dangerous N4, that there is a direct but not indicated path to the Ourthe in the village itself. Charming house with spacious bedrooms, creaky floors are not ideal for sleeping children and the heating oil tank shows regularly announces and the smell is not pleasant. Decor is cozy and original. The living and dining area are on the small side, so not ideal if you are forced by rain with three small children to sit inside. Biggest downside is the bathrooms, there is only 1 shower in a bathroom adjacent to one of the bedrooms. You need to sit down in the tub otherwise just water runs along the ceiling in the living room downstairs! Here they would therefore have to do something! The kitchen is adequately equipped. Great views from the garden, the play with swing is a bonus. We are sorry that no information is present in the house for walking and cycling routes in the area, including the caretaker did not have much to tell us, but very friendly reception.
