We (mom, dad, children 1 and 3 years old) have spent a wonderful week in Sainte-Ode. The welcome by the owner was welcoming and, for us non-French speaking Dutch very much in English. The interior is very complete and even kitchen towels and bath towels were present. The children have a good time on the playground in the garden and on the petange job. For the adults the pool table was a fun activity for the evening. There are nearby (journey time 1 hour max) to make many trips. We have been in past Houtopia (large outdoor playground), a game park in Bouillon and the wildlife park in the caves of Han (transportation to the park with a tram / train, walked up to the half and then by minibus further nice!). Plopsa Coo It was also still on our wish list, but did not go ahead due to bad weather that day. The house is in the country on a hill with a wonderful view in all directions but still close to Bastogne. We were 3 couples, 1 couple has a child. There are 3 spacious bedrooms with very fine beds. One of us found the beds a little harshly. The bathroom is very spacious including wave sensor night light! The kitchen is awfully complete (from towel to tablets, coffee, sugar, salt, some spices) and lay upon arrival Ardennes ham and a bottle of local beer in the fridge. Particularly attentive. The landlord, who speaks only French, doing everything possible to get to the meaning making and patient with people who speak poor French. The fireplace is absolutely fantastic. The sofas in the living room have had their best time, but that should not spoil the fun. The extra outdoor space (including outdoor kitchen + BBQ) in / we have not even used, a separate building but looked fantastic. In the nearby Bastogne you can eat, but it is no more interesting town. La Roche, however, is well worth a visit! We were there only a weekend, but all enjoyed!

Had a perfect holiday. Also thanks to the beautiful weather, but the surroundings and the house are perfect. Enough space, everything is there. La Roche-en-Ardenne and Bastogne are well worth a visit. Luxembourg is also only an hour away. Our dog has enjoyed, he can stroll in the garden and in the yard. We had two wonderful weeks holiday in this house! The children were very happy with the trampoline and playhouse in the garden and our dog Bo had plenty of space in and around the home. We are in February with 6 adults and a dog been here. It was fantastic! Reception was most friendly. The fire was burning already! Beds were already made! The house is fine, well equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms and spacious bathroom. Garden is completely enclosed, dogs could be safely outside. For small children there is also play, but we have not made use of. Nearby we have made beautiful walks through the forest, visited museums on the second world war and Bastogne is a nice town. Because our dog is afraid of fireworks, and we also hate to bang, we had booked this cottage. We liked it very well! It is set in beautiful surroundings. For the adults the pool table was a fun activity for the evening. There are nearby (journey time 1 hour max) to make many trips. We have been in past Houtopia (large outdoor playground), a game park in Bouillon and the wildlife park in the caves of Han (transportation to the park with a tram / train, walked up to the half and then by minibus further nice!). Plopsa Coo It was also still on our wish list, but did not go ahead due to bad weather that day. Beautiful rural setting, within easy driving distance of various places in the Ardennes such as Bastogne, Bouillon, La Roche and Durbuy. Luxembourg is also around the corner. The owner was super friendly and we were received with 2 bottles of la chouffe and homemade cheese. We were given an extensive (and perhaps a little unnecessary) tour. The house itself was just fine with really everything you could need on a weekend of Ardennes (even a double fryer) and the bar with large collection of beer glasses is also great to have. The pool, table tennis and dart rooms, however, were a serious disappointment. These spaces are located in a garage next to the house and only have a small heater to heat everything. Moreover, the playing surface of the pool table was so crooked that the balls rolled in all directions and the owner's car often stood at the table tennis spot (see photo), which prevented us from playing. Bastogne is about 15 minutes away by car and if you want to book this house on the war sights to visit this seems to me a good location. Besides Bastogne, this house is far from everything, which means that we often have to drive a long time to do things. The closest supermarket is 15 minutes away by car.

We were quickly welcomed by the owner who explained to us the outbuilding and the house from top to bottom. Everything was present like at home. The fully enclosed garden provides complete privacy and perfect for the dogs. In the village itself there is nothing to do, but because of that it is extremely quiet. The sound and smell of the cows provide a farm atmosphere with a beautiful view. Distance to Bastogne only 10km. There you have all the shops, restaurants, recreation at hand. Only minor minus, or point to improvement was that there is no outside lighting so you quickly back in the evening. But we solved this with an extended one that we ourselves had and a night light outside.

Warmly received by the owner. Welcome ardenner ham and Chouffe beer in the fridge. The house is cozy and spacious. Complete with laundry room, jeu de boules court, pool table and on the spot a large table to eat all together. The conservatory is just finished and gives you the outside feeling even when it is cold. The only downside is one that Mr. Wagner can not do anything about. The departure points of the walks are at least 15 minutes drive from the house. The supermarket is 15 minutes away and that is quite far for the daily shopping. Warm bakery is not around. But otherwise a great, spacious and authentic house in a beautiful setting!

Super friendly host, nice reception and a gift was ready in the fridge. The house was very neat and corona proof. The property really has everything you could or could need. Wonderfully welcoming home with friendly owner who lives next. The house is neat clean well maintained and nicely decorated with lots of options to entertain you. There is a large trampoline in the garden, a ping pong table in the garage etc. Next to the garage is an extra kitchen with covered porch with darts game where you can also fine with rain and bbq. Within walking distance there are many hiking trails in the valley running through grassy fields with cows and dandelions (house sprouting left up the hill and you'll get a walking against).
