The owner of the house is very friendly and benevolent. The house was neat clean and it looks all dressed and well maintained. The only downside we experienced that in the area is not very much to do. And it might be useful to do in the sockets safety caps, since the sockets just above the ground.

The house is on the edge of a small village and surrounded by nature with a very beautifully designed garden and outdoor use. We felt from the first minute at home. The layout of the house and the comfort given left nothing to be desired. For our family it was the perfect place to relax, to spend time together, to ride a bicycle and play. A compliment to the owner, who rents a very high quality furnished house.

The home owner is an architect who house very tasteful and well has ontworpen.Ze was very friendly and did her best turnover to make us feel at home. This house is very quiet, has a large garden and is equipped with all comforts. It has a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bathrooms and beautiful bedrooms with ample storage. The two small attics where sleep and can be played, were very much in the making with the children. There are many games available in the house. Also walking and cycling routes available from the (wide) area around the house. We (four adults and four children) had a fantastic week here and are totally at rest.

The hostess made sure we instantly felt at home in this beautiful house when we "evening arrived the cozy lit, pleasantly warm and there was a bouquet of fresh flowers on the table! Meanwhile, our 4th visit to Belgium where this property is located on a quiet (secondary) road in an agricultural setting. Nearest village is Chimay (5km) where you will find restaurants and supermarkets. Owner is very friendly and helpful, not speak Dutch, but her English (and French, of course) is fine. For young children may not be suitable due to lack of protection. For entertainment there are more than 60 DVD 's, LG flat screen TV 26LG3050 (without cable or antenna channels), Sony DVD player (DVP-NS36), many board games, folding badminton net (and rackets), French books (a few dated) Nintendo 64 game computer with Sony TV and 5.1 surround set on the 1st floor, Panasonic SA-PM4 audio set with 3.5 jack connector for iPod / Smartphone and ADSL Internet (WiFi) on a B-Box 2 with 4.5MB / 512KB. Choice of BBQ coals or an outdoor kitchen on gas (new).

The location and the high regard in architectural house, gave us the opportunity at their own pace and with each other up to enjoy the atmosphere and the tranquil countryside. Walks in the immediate area, visit the Abbey of Scourmont midst of a large forest area further away from the lake Virelles and the adjacent forest. Also visited charming towns, among other Nismes with its Jardin d 'O and Forge du Chien. In home cooked. Excellent kitchen equipment. Good shopping possibilities (local) in the immediate vicinity.

It was some searching before we found the house, but we do like the locations in the middle of the fields. The house was perfectly fine, everything was there. For our family of 8 people had their own bedroom, which we greatly appreciate. We had the weather gauge and have been able to walk around and also some factions petanque played in the garden with a nice glass on the sun loungers. Delicious Sunday we went to Chimay been able to visit as well as Espace Chimay the abbey. We had a fun weekend and this is worth doing again!

The house features (expandable to 3x2 + 1x4 off) people, including a richly equipped kitchen, fireplace, BBQ and spacious garden with terraces / seating. All the comfort for a group of 4x2 In the immediate vicinity is the beautiful walking / cycling. The cows walking in the meadow next to the house were a bonus.

Our week is unfortunately already over. We stayed with four friends in the holiday Le Marteaubois and will be back. It is a beautiful home and also beautifully situated. Moreover, it is well equipped with everything you want. Stone grill to petanque balls, Wifi to console. The weather was slightly less with it, but you can not possibly get bored. What can be said, is that the hostess was very friendly and made us feel welcome. At home there was sufficient information (including maps), so go to the tourist office was no longer necessary. If I really need to find a negative point I would say the eclipse in the bedrooms which are white and fairly translucent, especially in summer when the early light, this can be annoying. But I solved this by making hanging a blanket. The hostess told us that she's smaller cottage next to the house on the organization as a play room and extra bedroom. Yet more reason to come back. A very nice house, where everything is present such as toys and kitchenware, with a large garden overlooking a valley with cows. There are 4 bedrooms of which 2 have a kind of loft. On the one loft you have 2 single beds in the other one sleeping bags. Therefore, you can sleep with 10-12, but 8 is recommended. Elderberry Ingen not suitable for children. 2 lovely bathrooms. Beautiful area. Bathing Waters at 20km. Hospitable owner and punctual. We thought it was a must!

We had with our family (3 adult children with partner and grandson) a very nice weekend in Robechies. In the garden of Le Marteaubois is quiet. In the house you will find all kinds of electrical appliances and tableware to prepare meals and serve. The welcome by the landlady was very cordial. The house is very neat. There are 4 full bedrooms, 3 for 2 adults and 1 for 2 adults and possibly 2 children. Cots and chairs available. Also outdoor and indoor toys, BBQ (less quality) and sun loungers.

A beautifully renovated house is really wonder full kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment, large living room where everyone can sit "at ease" even though you're with 8 people, 4 bedrooms and 2 beautiful bathrooms. Plus toilet (2) is separate. The apartment is quiet, but this is certainly not a flaw. Highly recommended! We love to come back again.

With a group of 9 friends (20-26 year olds) visited the cottage. Very liked. Quiet location so you can make your music and BBQ can hold. Yet experience in the area by the proximity of Chimay. Sufficient In the month of March is the perfect time to go along. Beautiful flowers in the area in the forest. Coincidentally, a scout party around that there were "still evening entertainment. The cottage itself is certainly room for 9 people. There is even a gaming room available with Nintendo. Also, glasses, plates, coffee etc. provided. Highly recommended!

Last year, liked it a lot, so again this year to the Belgian Ardennes. Again opted for a beautiful spacious house with all amenities. On arrival we were given a most cordial welcome from the owner, and she led us around in and around her house. We had her enthusiasm not need to be on this house with its facilities, garden and quiet location with beautiful views. Enthusiastic self The pictures on the internet looked okay, but the reality was even better. The owner said that when we walked into something, we could always call, text and or send an email. The house looked neat and very clean. With two bathrooms and four bedrooms, a second sleeping for another two people, this includes a house for rent good for two families. Nearby are plenty of things to do and see. The owner was so "n its own tourist office. There was bit of a table reserved for all information leaflets and there was even a thick folder with topographic maps. The real tourist office, we have not seen. We are here for two weeks been and regretted it when we had to return home. Now saves natural that the weather was beautiful for two weeks, but still. We already miss our (black) white ge

Very nice house with lots of light. Good kitchen complete with even a real cutting and large frying pan. That kind of stuff you do not come often! BBQ feet wide is frequently made use of. Recommended for ' oodies'' so. Partly because there is no electric / ceramic cooking is as almost everywhere in this region but a wonderful gasfornuis.Eigenaresse was very friendly and helpful. This holiday house ticks all the boxes for me. It is beautifully located in the slope of a valley. Together with a small dwelling of the owner it is surrounded by a well maintained en very spacious garden. The house itself is very refined renovation of an old barn and has a lot of charm. Besides all this beauty, the site and the house are very well equipped. There are two terraces and a bbq-corner in the garden. At the entrance, you're supposed to store your (walking) shoes, so an extra pair of indoor shoes come in handy. The ground floor is organized around a central and open staircase. The open kitchen has enough working space and overlooks the dining table. The fireplace has comfortable couches and an ottoman. The whole is tastefully furnished. Upstairs, the landing is nicely lit from above. There are two tidy bathrooms. However the design of these seems a bit outdated, everything is well maintained. The sleeping rooms are cosily arranged, but the screens could have been a bit heavier for darkening, in my personal experience. All in all, this really is an outstanding holiday home in the western region of the Ardennes. I'm very happy that I could stay here with seven other friends, we had a wonderful time. I'm very grateful to the owner with whom I had a very good and pleasant contact. I hope we can come here again!

Fantastic location. Enjoyed the peace and the beautiful sunset every evening. Beautiful house, good beds and all facilities are available. Environment very suitable for walking and enjoying nature. Lac de l"Eau de l"Heurs nearby. For many activities you have to drive 30-45 minutes. However, the small pebble streams where only locals come are also nearby and provided afternoons of entertainment for our children.

Very neat and practical house! Fantastic Smeg cooking stove. The owner is a very sweet lady. There is an open staircase and if you are a family with small children who go to sleep / wake up earlier, it might be a less interesting house because of noise pollution .... with an enclosed upper floor you will not have this. We would have found a 2nd fridge handy; was now less applicable due to the bad weather, but if it is a warm summer and you are 8, it is still useful to keep the drinks fresh in a separate fridge .... You can keep the other fridge for the food, is a luxury problem somewhere but a useful tip :). There is underfloor heating and a cassette fireplace which is very nice and pleasant. In short, a fantastic house with a beautiful garden and terrace!

The stay in Robechies is really a must! A very nice and comfortable house with all necessary accommodation. Too expensive, the area invites for walking and there are many opportunities ... Just back from a week in this beautiful, full-house. The owner welcomed us very friendly and after we sat called the toilet again, she was hidden as soon as possible (with the help of my husband) solved. It's really for people who want peace and above all want to cook, because the first day we could not find restaurants that were open and then turned the restaurants, which finally opened were not of very good quality. There are many small places nearby, where not much is going on. We are in the castle of Chimay been, where you are in total 3 rooms was approved and the guide only spoke French. Also we have been in 2 breweries and one of those breweries we got explanations in Dutch. That was in the oldest brewery in Belgium that are complete and that was fun to see all. Furthermore, so do not expect too much there, a nice house, but the fun should really bring your own.

We (party of four adults and two teenagers) spent a fantastic week in Le Marteaubois. The house was lovely and the location stunning. Overall it exceeded our expectations which were based on the information on the website. The weather was variable and on rainy days we went to the Grottes de Neptune and the local castle in Chimay. Both are well worth visiting. On sunny days we just enjoyed the tranquillity of the garden and the great barbeque. The Wi-Fi proved a success with our teenage sons.

You can not mention whether it was aanwezig.Mooie kitchen, nice big dining, nice sofas, ottomans in the large open living room where a heater / fireplace was wonderful that we have fired, architecturally it was just beautiful. Beautiful open staircase took us upstairs where two bathrooms were nice and four bedroom with 2 single beds. The house is beautiful and furnished with love. The decor is very good. The gardener was wonderful. Anne Lorent took good care of us during our stay and is always accessible to any questions / problems. However, the location of the house is very remote. If you want to find peace, this is the right place. There is little infrastructure in the vicinity. Without a car goes almost nothing. Unfortunately almost all restaurants were closed during the holidays, so you were forced to cook. It was some searching before we found the house, but we do like the locations in the middle of the fields. The house was perfectly fine, everything was there. For our family of 8 people had their own bedroom, which we greatly appreciate. We enjoyed having the pet chicken around and the garden was lovely to play and lay about it. If we ever visit Belgium again we would definitely want to stay. The children also liked the attic spaces and ladders and WIFI was available.

A weekend with 7 men stayed here. Well received by the hostess, friendly service. The spacious accommodation is fully equipped and is also very nice from outside and inside. Remarkable style. With a group of 9 friends (20-26 year olds) visited the cottage. Very liked. Quiet location so you can make your music and BBQ can hold. Yet experience in the area by the proximity of Chimay. The stay in Robechies is really a must! A very nice and comfortable house with all necessary accommodation. Too expensive, the area invites for walking and there are many opportunities ... We (party of four adults and two teenagers) spent a fantastic week in Le Marteaubois. The house was lovely and the location stunning. Overall it exceeded our expectations which were based on the information on the website.
The weather was variable and on rainy days we went to the Grottes de Neptune and the local castle in Chimay. Both are well worth visiting. On sunny days we just enjoyed the tranquillity of the garden and the great barbeque. The Wi-Fi proved a success with our teenage sons.

Super house fully equipped with heerijke fireplace. Never had a kitchen in a house, which was so full! Plenty of space both in and around the house. Unfortunately were not for all windows curtains. Last year, liked it a lot, so again this year to the Belgian Ardennes. Again opted for a beautiful spacious house with all amenities. On arrival we were given a most cordial welcome from the owner, and she led us around in and around her house. Le Marteaubois is a house that looks good on the Internet on the photo 's and in the description.
