Friendly welcome by the owners. Each room has almost a bathroom and toilet, which is very handy for a group of friends. Everything is fine! Had a nice week, trains passing naturally belong in a station. We will definitely come back.

very friendly welcome, lovely people ..... mrs even had a basket of home-made waffles as a welcome gift (were very tasty) .... the wooden bench is nice but not really practical ... 1 real downside are the pillows, those were not really nice and are still in need of replacement generally a cool "stationneke" and the passing trains you really have no problems

Village of Pondrome is OK. Delhaize Proxy super market right outside the door, bakery within walking distance and a little further the snack bar and gas station. The trains don't really bother you - it's kind of funny to see them pass. Sometimes you have noise from the house next door (loud voices, boiler). Incidentally, only if you sleep in the large bedroom on the ground floor.2 TVs is sometimes handy - too bad there are no Dutch channels on it but watching the TV via WiFi and computer is fine. Washing machine is nice that it is there. Dishwasher is a bit of an illogical place behind the bar and not in the kitchen. Crockery, cutlery, pans in abundance and also more kitchen electronics than you can use. Recommended: do shopping in the Intermarche of Givet (10km). Dinant Evasion for climbing park or kayaks. don't: go to Chimay for the Chimay experience.

Nice house. Downside was the seating area. The high wooden bench was not comfortable. As a result, there was not enough comfortable seating for 9 people. Spacious bedrooms with good beds, lots of noise from the day and night freight trains passing by, making it difficult to sleep in the three bedrooms on the side of the track.

The holiday home is part of a beautifully renovated old station building. If you close windows and doors on the track side as much as possible, the sound of passing trains is not too bad, the house is well insulated. We were in this house in a week in which the afternoon temperature rose to 40 degrees. With the fans it could be kept down well. It did get hot on the upper floor. Because it was so hot, we wanted to open windows, but that had two drawbacks: 1 - a lot of flies came in and 2 - a lot of noise comes through the passing (freight) trains, so that you have the windows on the track side at night We found that the bedrooms have double beds and not two single beds, for older children it is less pleasant to sleep in a bed for two. But otherwise the beds were fine and it was wonderful that the beds were made upon arrival. The stay was also great with more than enough pans and utensils to prepare food for a large family. We thought it was a great holiday and in a cooler period the windows can stay much more closed, so there will be no nuisance from flying and noise. A store is close by and the assortment in the store is large. We can definitely recommend this property.

The holiday home is part of a recently renovated station, which is about half of the entire station. (the other half is a guest house). Downstairs it is old, but completely renovated. The floor is completely new. Downstairs it is very comfortable and very complete and creatively decorated. Really everything we could think of was dishwasher, oven, microwave, 2 fridges, mixer, gourmet set, electric stone grill, dishes and cutlery in abundance ......! If I have to mention minuses the place of the dishwasher (behind the bar, and not in the kitchen) and on the pictures it looks like there are 2 TV "s in the house, but there is only one in the house. living room). The front door opens directly into the living room, which in the beginning takes some getting used to, but also useful, and you immediately get into a warm and comfortable home. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and 1 large luxury bathroom, 1 small sitting room with an extra sofa bed, a kitchen, a pantry, and a cloakroom. Upstairs it is slightly tighter, but also very creative renovated 3 bedrooms each with its own bathroom and each with its own toilet. everything is new (the paint was just dry ...) and was therefore spotlessly clean. Only minuses are the floor is pretty noisy (if you walk upstairs you hear that in the whole house) and the showers and toilets in the two large bedrooms can not lock (the bedroom doors though). Because it was once a station runs the track 5 meters next to the house. I estimate that about 30 trains a day pass by, but only the first couple we really heard, then the giant fell the house is very well insulated, and we have therefore no inconvenience van.De garden we have not used was small and the fence was not completely closed so we did not dare to let our 2 dogs (1 of 6 years and 1 of 4 months) loose. A really cool location, and an original stay in a converted train station. Quite a few defects: no hot water in the kitchen or shower downstairs (on arrival). very poor pans and pots, a lot of things too short in an ordinary kitchen, malfunctioning stove, many broken lights - also in the kitchen, for example from the extractor hood, so that it was really dark, BBQ in questionable condition ... Actually anyway quite a list. But the house itself was something special. Right next to a railway, which is surprisingly unaffected by it. The location is also ok, in the middle of a small village with a small supermarket in the immediate vicinity. Centrally located for trips and walks. With a little further refurbishment and better inventory tracking, the stay would have been even more enjoyable.

Beauraing is 5 km away with supermarkets, cafes and restaurants (we ate at the Greek) very friendly owners, extensive explanation about the distribution of the cottage and all amenities. Beds made on arrival, the heating was already set up when we arrived, bathrooms also in order. It is not the most modern house but very cozy and everything is equipped. wooden bench has been moved to the dining table. As a family with 4 children between the ages of six months and 11 years, we stayed at this station for a week. We had a great time. Inside is a lot of space and nice to sit and for the children to play. From the house you can walk straight into nature. Landlords speak French and are very nice.
