Situated at the heart of the Meuse Valley, between Dinant and the French border, the Domaine du Bonsoy is a holiday village ideal for active holidays with children. The 278 semi-detached or detached bungalows are arranged on the wooded slopes (80 m change in elevation) of a 70 ha park almost exclusively reserved for pedestrians. Some are close to the car parks, others are accessible via a short path or a few steps (access is sometimes steep and is not suitable for people with reduced mobility). The surrounding area is bursting with opportunities for walks, horse riding, or bike riding, and you can also go down the Lesse by kayak. Close by is Dinant Fortress, the Château de Freyr and the Annevoie gardens which are well worth a visit.

The location of the outdated house is beautiful in nature, you can walk between the trees away from the house. We had beautiful weather and the area is beautiful, we also enjoyed swimming in the Maas and the Lesse (too low water level for kayak). Within walking distance is the restaurant La Bonne Heure, good food and you will be served in Dutch. However, the cottage is in need of a makeover (new beds, bathroom, kitchen, floor, etc.). It has two rooms, each with a double bed and a loft with two separate beds, so not really suitable for a family with several children. The dogs of the people from a number of houses further away also walked to the house to relieve themselves.

On arrival the house was not cleaned. And I could after the car journey home first mopping cobwebs leftover food in pans anywhere on the floor. There is something for everyone to do very little to klein.Helaas our vacation was seriously overshadowed by the accommodation, it is suitable for anyone. We went for a weekend with our children aged 19, 21 and 22 years to stay to get away from it all and celebrate. Our 25th wedding anniversary Glad Dinant close lies with its fun activities for youth.
