A peaceful stay in the Ardennes? Difficult if your accommodation is 100 m from the highway as the crow flies.. Sleeping with an open window? This certainly doesn't work.. and the highway was also disruptive on the terrace.. A whole week of rain: gutters but no downspouts.. The rainwater clattered meters down on stones: one gutter right next to the bedroom window: woke up from this, even with closed windows .. We were received well by Dutch lady. We were unfortunate that we just went over the weekend that F1 took place. But we the owners were alerts before and they had sent a card for us so we could drive through the checkpoints. Very thoughtful! Our stay was really nice. We had also been in this cottage 7 years ago and it was just as nice as then. The forest is nearby, Malmedy is a short distance away and is centrally located for the circuit in Spa. Great location so that you can quickly get to nice places.
Cottage has everything on the ground floor, which is ideal for our dog who would otherwise walk up stairs.
Nice spacious veranda, garden is not fenced, but our dog had plenty of space on the veranda.
The only thing we experienced, as a small downside, is that the new duvets are a bit short, we are used to longer ones ourselves, the next time we book we will bring our own duvets.

Privacy is er daardoor niet er lopen iedere dag zo’n 5 bouwvakkers vanaf 7 uur inde ochtend. Hiervan zijn wij niet op de hoogte gebracht. De eigenaresse van het huis is onvriendelijk bij aankomst, legt op een overdreven manier uit hoe we om moeten gaan met alle inventaris zoals “bakpapier gebruiken in de oven” en “pas op met mijn kast want die kreeg ik toen ik ging trouwen” en meer van die onzin. Is niet geïnteresseerd in haar gasten. De omgeving is wel mooi om te wandelen maar zou zeker niet voor dit huis kiezen ivm de bouwput.
