Holiday home with sauna and swimming pool

We found the house spacious and lovingly furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped. During the warm days, it got very hot in the house and we asked for fans. However, only one was available. Consequently, the attic rooms were no longer usable. By the pool, there were several loose tiles, including right along the edge. There was a lot of overdue maintenance; the sauna heater window is broken and the side panels are rusted through, but it still works well. You do burn your fingers on the door spring, though, and there were no hair tools provided. You can bring these from downstairs, but you also have to carry the wood up three flights of stairs. So, quite a workout! Add to that the fact that from 2 PM to 9 PM, we were able to heat the wood stove in the hot tub to 30 degrees. The next day, we kept stoking it to 35 degrees. So, hauling a soooo much wood! Everything runs on wood: the sauna, hot tub, BBQ, and the fireplace in the winter. We found that to be a lot of work. All but one of the darts were bent. The ping-pong table was great fun, but the supports don't touch the ground, so it isn't stable. Many of the outdoor chairs are either rusted or moldy wood, or the fabric is torn, dirty, or has burn holes.
Not really the luxury we had expected for 400.- per night. Just ordering new pillows and a bath towel without 20 cm holes in it would already make a big difference.

All in all, a spacious house, beautiful garden! Lots of potential, but the owners really need to give the whole thing an upgrade. Such as tiling the path instead of using anti-slip mats on the sloping walls. Gluing down the tiles by the pool, installing fans or air conditioning, etc. Once this is done, we would love to come back!

Family weekend getaway. Plenty of room for all nine of us, which made it easy to relax together or find quiet spots. Loved having the pool and hot tub after hiking nearby trails.

In a characteristic large holiday home, we had a wonderful time with children and grandchildren. There are plenty of games for the grandchildren and for everyone a lovely private pool, a hot tub, and a sauna. And outside in the large garden, there are various terraces at different heights. Truly a delight here.

Our stay in the holiday home in Verviers was absolutely wonderful! The spacious layout was perfect for our family gathering and offered everyone plenty of space to relax. The highlight was definitely the private swimming pool.

A beautiful house in the middle of nature. If you are looking for peace, this is the place for you. The house is fully equipped and nothing is missing except for a normal coffee machine. The garden with pool is very nice but could do with a larger seating area with seating for eight people. Unfortunately, the landlord only speaks French, which made conversation a bit difficult. Otherwise everything was great and we would come back anytime.

With the floods in Verviers fresh in our minds, we weren't sure what to expect. The rustic house is very nicely located and very well equipped inside and out. When we arrived, the house and garden were nicely arranged. The hostess was very friendly and concerned that everything was OK. The bathrooms were well equipped, but the lack of splash screens in the showers is, in our opinion, an area for improvement because it caused quite a bit of wiping work after the shower. All together, definitely recommended .

Quiet, idyllic, beautifully furnished with attention to details, including beds made, towels, kitchen utensils, candles: everything has been thought of. Perfect to get away from the world for a while. And if you do need something, you are immediately in town to do some shopping. As I said to the owner: “tu as vraiment créé un petit coin de paradis”

Lovely pool and hot tub, cozy garden, good beds, spacious but pleasantly decorated. Everything you need is there! But also what you don't need: indoor/outdoor games, table tennis, 2 very small simple recommendations: sliding clips on the toilet/bathroom doors and a light on the landing then it's perfect.

Had an excellent stay in this beautiful villa with pool and jacuzzi. It all looked very neat and we were well received, it was difficult that the owner did not speak Dutch or English, but with Google translate we ended up well. It concerns a detached villa with an adjoining office where the owner is present on weekdays during the day, during the weekend they were quickly on site in case of problems. Village with shops nearby which is also handy, all in all had a nice stay.

House had to search (follow coordinates) were warmly received by the hostess. The first tenants were also exciting for her. Environment is beautifully close to the forest, but also close to the supermarket. House is large and has a fantastic garden. Delicious in the evening in the hot tub or barbecuing under the roof. Swim or in the sun. You have to love peace, in the immediate vicinity there is little to do except walking. All fine for us. The house has some points for improvement, but the hostess is working hard on this and does everything within her power to give you a nice holiday. Worth repeating for us.

Because the weather was great we did spend most of the days outside. We really liked having dinner outside near the BBQ.

We had a great long weekend in this beautiful old house. The equipment left nothing to be desired. The wood-fired sauna, the (unheated) pool and the hot tub (also with a wood stove) were worth their weight in gold. Sabine, the contact person on site, was always available and helpful - a quick message and we had new wood on our doorstep. We can only recommend the house.
