Excellent holiday home that met all our main expectations. Located in a quiet wooded area about 5km north of the pleasant town of Diest and about an hour away from Brussels and Aachen, it is an annexe to the owner's property but the way it is laid out makes it feel private. The swimming pool (shared with the owners) was great, much better than it looks in the photos and a real bonus in hot weather with three teenage kids, but bear in mind its availability is not guaranteed. The kitchen is very small but adequate, wifi was good and the living area fine plus plenty of space to sit outside access to the parking area might be a bit tight if you have a large vehicle (we had no problem with a family car) We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the home and its locality.

Pros: very good location and close to several trails (no need to take the car to reach them). The house and the host were nice and always available.Cons: the house was not sufficenlty clean with dust everywere and bread crumbs on the floor. The garden could have been neater (including some broken toys).

Everything is a bit old, but that was no problem for us! Children have great enjoyed the pool and the playground! Wonderful setting for biking or hiking! Owner of the house was very welcoming and helpful! All in all a great holiday with very nice weather!

We have this house as a 6 seater cabin booked but luckily we were only a weekend with 6 and the rest of the week 4. Indeed, it is very tight. It would be up to 4 people and rather than 2 adults and 2 children. Which are smaller. Everything is more or order. Good beds, well maintained, nice outdoor space and very friendly owners.

Hospitably received, received many cycling routes, beautiful environment. Comfort was disappointing, kitchen, bathroom and toilet need. Revamp At various places cobwebs hanging in the cottage. or to use pool but not clean soil was algae growth.

It is quiet here, between the trees and the birds. Really relax. The children have already been in the pool even if it is not really warm yet, but they are having fun. On the advice of the owner visited the Abbey of Averbode, cozy terrace + good walk between the woods. We also visited the tourist office tower with a large playground and terraces. It is really what we were looking for, a weekend to recharge your batteries. Cozy house also with a fireplace, outdoor ping pong and several places to sit at your leisure. The owner is very responsive and helpful.

Upon arrival, the owners showed us the whole house, they had put a delicious red wine and chocolate on the table. The cottage itself was perfect.The fireplace was lovely and we were allowed to pack wood. There was a new bathroom and a new kitchen in the cottage.The surrounding area was gorgeous.The pool was lovely and we were allowed to use it in the evening.Could really be recommended.

Nice holiday, not big but everything is there. We arrived when it was very cold (25 April), the stove was already created for us and we felt right at home. Very friendly owner and very helpful. Walking and cycling routes are available. Fortunately the weather improved and we were able to make nice trips from the cottage.

Our navigation sent us to find the road too early and there was only forest, following calls have arrived at our destination where we received excellent, very friendly and hospitable people and very helpful with providing information about the area. The house can accommodate six people taking into account that two sleepers can go on a sofa bed in the living room. The decor is what gedateert but meets and primary facilities are fine. There's even free wifi, amenities such as bbq, patio and of course the pool are very good to excellent. Only downsides, the very tight driveway and hard mattresses, also we had until about 0400 quite a lot of noise from the nearby disco. The latter is obviously the landlords to blame anything.

The cottage itself was very cozy, with a nice terrace and garden with pool, but it was not clean. I did not have the impression that it had been cleaned before we arrived, on our arrival I first washed + vacuumed the kitchen cabinets and all crockery myself ... The owners are 80+, so I understand that it is difficult for them, but then they can still hire a cleaning lady before guests arrive. In addition, € 25 is charged for cleaning ... Too bad, because it is a nice house and great location.
