It is a lovely little house in the middle of the woods. Everything is present. We have walked a lot in the beautiful surroundings with our dog. The grounds are well-fenced but have many elevation changes. The house is initially difficult to find because there are several chalets in the woods, some of which are very dilapidated. The cleaning of the house could have been better, and the restaurant 1 km away is closed. Looking past that, we had a nice vacation.

House and enclosed garden were fine. Large walking area with marked routes. Dogs must be on a leash. With steep parts. Few fireworks, only a few bangs audible in the distance. Gas heater works fine. Floor remains very cold. Unfortunately, I didn't bring slippers with thick soles. Frying pans and kitchen utensils partly need to be replaced and expanded. Brought my own air fryer.
Nice owner was helpful in finding the house. Google Maps sent us to 14 instead of 22. The forest road to it was very muddy with puddles due to the heavy rain in front.

We had a lovely quiet week. Very nice cozy house with a beautiful enclosed forest garden. Our 3 dogs were able to roam freely. The garden bordered on a national park so we could walk a lot. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner.

We spent a midweek in the house and enjoyed it immensely. The cottage was great! Much better than the photos show. Clean and tidy. The garden that comes with it is large and well fenced, so we could let our dog (Cane Corso) roam in the garden itself. The cottage is located in Hoge Kempen National Park , really beautiful! You walk directly into the forest and the routes are well marked. For our dog it was really great fun, there is a nice loose area. There are many beautiful areas in the area such as Terhill and Mechelse Heide and Maasmechelen The village is close by. The kitchen is great for cooking yourself. No wifi was nice and range with the mobile phone was minimal, you literally go back to nature. If you want range, you only have to walk outside. The path to the house seems like a thing with a lot of rain, but we have not experienced that with a week of beautiful weer.Enjoy to the top.Really recommended!

Shower is dirty and smells musty! Toilet and sink very shabby and it smells musty.Interieur is very outdated and the sofa is not a meter. The kitchen has the minimum of glasses and pots / pans (were dirty and greasy on arrival). No cutting board and colander present. The terrace is uneven and therefore not possible to sit properly at the outdoor table. If this is already addressed and there are more luxurious standing chairs with cushions, that is already a big plus. Now there are plastic bucket seats .... nice to have a drink at a cafe but not to sit on it for a longer period of time. Closet space to store your clothes is hardly there so you live out of your bag / suitcase ... ..No, our impression is not good .... what we do find very attractive is the fireplace with stove. Two hours before we left, the owner informed us that he would not be present on arrival; but that he could be reached. After some searching we found the house. The stove was burning and it was pleasantly warm and clean. We knew there was no wifi, but watching TV was not really an option; only the first night we could watch TV; the following evenings we either had 10 minutes of TV or nothing. Fortunately, we were very lucky with the weather and were able to make beautiful bike rides on the Maas valley and Park Hoge Kempen and walk in the area from our house. For those who plan to take this holiday home, I would recommend bringing a good book or some games, as well as some spices such as salt and pepper etc., as there is none.

For the first time in 14 years I went on vacation. So it was a trial with my boyfriend and our German shepherd and Dutch Shepherd. We are not the easiest dogs and have therefore opted for a secluded cottage with fenced yard. On arrival I was very surprised that there were around more houses (which were not occupied happy next to us, otherwise we had a problem). We stayed in Richard chalet Friday, 04.24.2015 till Sunday, 05/03/2015, and it was not a day too much, on the contrary! The chalet is located in the forest (yet easily accessible from the main road). The chalet itself is pleasantly decorated, not luxurious but more spacious than the pictures' s show . Only downside for us was the unavailability of a microwave oven. However, this was offset by the good quality pots and pannen.De garden is excellent ended our 2 dogs (a Viszla and Italian Greyhound) had the week of their lives. This house met all our expectations. From 2/16 June 2006, we have stayed here and had a great holiday. Especially in very hot weather is nice and cool in the woods. We just returned from a weekend in a cottage in Lanklaar and to be honest, it was such a nice getaway! The place was clean and spacious, we grilled on the terrace and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The kids also loved the play area in the garden. We even took a little trip to the Valkenburg mine, which was just a short drive away. I would say it was worth every penny, we will definitely be back!

I was looking for a quiet place in nature for me even with my two dogs to pull back and it showed this cottage perfect for. The forest garden is fully enclosed so that I could let my dogs play freely with confidence. Note that if you have a large (r) high dog that can jump over the fence on the side of the forest can be a little on the low side, because in principle they can jump over. Shower is dirty and smells musty! Toilet and sink very shabby and it smells musty.Interieur is very outdated and the sofa is not a meter. The kitchen has the minimum of glasses and pots / pans (were dirty and greasy on arrival). No cutting board and colander present. The terrace is uneven and therefore not possible to sit properly at the outdoor table. If this is already addressed and there are more luxurious standing chairs with cushions, that is already a big plus. Now there are plastic bucket seats .... nice to have a drink at a cafe but not to sit on it for a longer period of time. Closet space to store your clothes is hardly there so you live out of your bag / suitcase ... ..No, our impression is not good .... what we do find very attractive is the fireplace with stove. Our stay at "Richard" the first two weeks of September 2010 was delicious. The cottage stands on a very large plot of 1500 m2 I thought, totally enclosed and lockable with solid fences. Two hours before we left, the owner informed us that he would not be present on arrival; but that he could be reached. After some searching we found the house. The stove was burning and it was pleasantly warm and clean. We knew there was no wifi, but watching TV was not really an option; only the first night we could watch TV; the following evenings we either had 10 minutes of TV or nothing. Fortunately, we were very lucky with the weather and were able to make beautiful bike rides on the Maas valley and Park Hoge Kempen and walk in the area from our house. For those who plan to take this holiday home, I would recommend bringing a good book or some games, as well as some spices such as salt and pepper etc., as there is none.

We stayed in Richard chalet Friday, 04.24.2015 till Sunday, 05/03/2015, and it was not a day too much, on the contrary! The chalet is located in the forest (yet easily accessible from the main road). "Mornings are making birdies you wake up and not the clock. A squirrel regularly passes by our door (read through the tall trees). The chalet itself is pleasantly decorated, not luxurious but more spacious than the pictures' s show . Only downside for us was the unavailability of a microwave oven. However, this was offset by the good quality pots and pannen.De garden is excellent ended our 2 dogs (a Viszla and Italian Greyhound) had the week of their lives. From the garden you'll immediately through a gate on the trails. Heaths, woods and the occasional deer that wegwipt, what do humans and the dog even more. from 8 / 15 November we had a great holiday here! the cottage is located on a dirt road, but it was easy to reach, the owner even had the path made entirely blade free for our aankomst.onze dogs have a lot of fun in the large, well enclosed garden. The chalet is pretty dismal, outdated, urgently needs a little refurbishment. We stayed in Richard chalet Friday, 04.24.2015 till Sunday, 05/03/2015, and it was not a day too much, on the contrary! The chalet is located in the forest (yet easily accessible from the main road). The chalet itself is pleasantly decorated, not luxurious but more spacious than the pictures' s show . Only downside for us was the unavailability of a microwave oven. However, this was offset by the good quality pots and pannen.De garden is excellent ended our 2 dogs (a Viszla and Italian Greyhound) had the week of their lives. For the first time in 14 years I went on vacation. So it was a trial with my boyfriend and our German shepherd and Dutch Shepherd. We are not the easiest dogs and have therefore opted for a secluded cottage with fenced yard. We spent a midweek in the house and enjoyed it immensely. The cottage was great! Much better than the photos show. Clean and tidy. The garden that comes with it is large and well fenced, so we could let our dog (Cane Corso) roam in the garden itself. The cottage is located in Hoge Kempen National Park , really beautiful! You walk directly into the forest and the routes are well marked. For our dog it was really great fun, there is a nice loose area. There are many beautiful areas in the area such as Terhill and Mechelse Heide and Maasmechelen The village is close by. The kitchen is great for cooking yourself.
