I have worked remotely here for a few weeks and it was quite good. The living room with the fireplace was cozy for evening work sessions, and I really enjoyed the sauna after a long day. Being able to bring my pet gave it a feeling of home.

The only downside was the weather, the stream in the garden was flowing strongly, otherwise it would have been a 'fantastic' experience, but the friendly owners of the house couldn't do anything about that!

Reasonably nice house in a very nice location. We were advised that if we turned on the heater, we should open a door and turn on the extractor fan for ventilation. That's not really up to date anymore. Additionally, there is 1 shower, but it was located in a bedroom. This is not always very practical. The electricity is particularly arranged. Some circuits are quite illogical. A bit inconvenient, but for those who do not have too high demands, this is a very nice house, especially because of the location and the garden.

The house was as described, the interior was also as described. It would have been nice if a thermos, a broom for sweeping, a dustpan or something similar for mopping were available, bowls for the microwave # for reheating food or something similar would also have been advantageous. The shower curtain also leaves something to be desired while showering, as it does not work properly. It would have also been nice if some cleaning cloths could be provided for wiping the table or similar, as one cannot take excessive cleaning supplies for the entire household. In terms of the season, the temperatures were acceptable (October); I had a heating bill of about 7 nights. 80 € and only had the heating on in the living room and dining room, despite using the fireplace for 3 evenings; the heating in the bathroom turned on by itself. So if it had been even colder or a different season, brrr. Great heating bill. Everything in the area was easily accessible and top-notch.

If you love peace and quiet, this location is what you are looking for. The cottage is tidy and furnished. The location is quiet, and at the back, there is a large garden with a gently flowing stream alongside it. The cottage is equipped with all conveniences. Well-equipped kitchen and a nice terrace to sit and eat outside. The owner gives you a tour of the cottage in French. The surroundings are also very quiet. We stayed there for a week in mid-June. The Ardennes are very beautiful. Make sure you have a bit of a grasp of the French language. It is not required but can be handy there. In La Gleise, there is a nice war museum about the Ardennes offensive. There is also an ice cream parlor where one can eat delicious ice cream. In Trois Pont, there is a large Delhaize supermarket.

Directly behind the house a gigantic nature reserve with lots of walking possibilities. Our dog enjoyed it.

The hostess José was super sweet and provided all the information we needed.

Nice house but more something for the summer because of old and not isolated and therefore very cold floors, cold near the windows etc. Our sheets felt ice cold when we crawled into bed. Mattresses should actually be replaced. Fortunately fast and nice warm water. Kitchen equipment barely sufficient. After contacting the owner we did get extra wine glasses and coffee spoons immediately. The sauna certainly did us good after our winter walks.

We had a very nice week in the house in Rahier. Despite unpredictable weather, even with wet snow showers, we had a great time. The heater is certainly a valuable addition (especially with much higher energy costs than we are used to in the Netherlands) and once you understand how to operate it you have a cozy warmth in the room without having to sit in the smoke :) The area is very beautiful, you can easily walk into the forest with your dog. Our dog thought the fact that the house is located directly on a river was the icing on the cake! The house is fully equipped, truly a home away from home!

Nice house, not too luxurious but everything is there. Wonderfully quiet location and a place to really relax. You can walk straight from the house into the woods and the supermarket and restaurants are about 10-15 minutes away by car.

It is a very nice and tidy house with spacious bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. You can sit very nice in the "forest garden" with the sound of a running stream in the background. The house is also nice and cool.

Tip is to bring a fly swatter and a tarp for the table that is made of glass.

Lovely cottage. Quiet environment. You walk straight into the woods. Beautiful walking area. Deer and beavers to spot. Wood stove takes some getting used to. Keep the door on the side slightly open, then there is sufficient draft and you prevent smoke in the room. Furthermore, everything is heated electrically (including the sauna) so be careful because the consumption must still be settled afterwards.

Spent a midweek in this house with a family of five at the end of February. The location of this house is great: an idyllic stream through the garden and a beautiful forest (with a beaver lodge!) directly behind the house. Also plenty to do in the area.



The house is clean, the WiFi perfect and the beds are good. But the biggest disadvantage is that the house is very cold. You can heat it up but then you have to pay a lot afterwards. The wood stove has worked overtime with us. This makes the cottage very uncomfortable. The sanitary facilities are also in need of modernisation. The sauna works well and is nice and spacious. But even here you can feel the cold on the ground.

Warmly received and a full tour of the house. Beautiful house in a very quiet area, large bedrooms and fully furnished. The wood stove gave the extra warmth and cosiness. Just a pity that the previous visitors had switched off the heating in the bathroom, it took 2 days before the accumulation heating was back on point (higher electricity consumption). Otherwise a nice location with lots of options.

The cottage is as in the photos. Bedrooms are spacious and beds goed.Op itself clean, but if people with a dog have just sat in it, you can smell it. And visibly also picking dog hair in the garden. it is minimal and tatty, in terms of glassware and coffee cups not suitable for 6. Pans etc really need to be replaced.The glass plate on the table is not nice, so take a tablecloth with you. From the house you can easily pick up walking routes. is a beautiful area!

We received a warm welcome. The cottage was very cozy, quiet and cleanly cleaned. Only it was so cold inside that we had to turn on the heating. Also a pity that the chocolates we received as a welcome were expired ... Right next to the house is a large forest. Ideal if you have dogs with you!

Nice, carefully furnished house, beautifully situated on a babbling brook. From the spacious garden you can walk straight into the woods. Inside it was clean, nice kitchen and spacious bedrooms. The sauna also works well. Despite the rain we have made nice walks. Downside is the wood stove, it does not work properly and the first evening we were in the smoke. Then no longer lit.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, schoon huisje, verwarming heeft meer dan voldoende capaciteit ook in de winter, matrassen zijn goed, en de sauna werkt goed (wel in de winter ook de verwarming in de relax-ruimte voor de sauna even aanzetten) De houtkachel is wel wat lastiger om goed te laten branden, hij krijgt iets te weinig aangezogen zuurstof. Wat werkt is dan de glazendeur niet helemaal te sluiten maar op een kleine millimeter open te laten staan. Als je een blok hout tegen de sluithendel plaatst kan je de zuurstof toevoer goed controleren zonder dat er rook in de kamer komt. De houtkachel geeft wel een hoop fijne warmte. Zoals in alle huisjes die ik de afgelopen jaren hebt gehuurd zijn de anti-aanbak-lagen van de koekenpannen wel wat beschadigd. Ik neem altijd een goede koekenpan zelf mee (inductie). Andere pannen/servies zijn er genoeg en van goede kwaliteit en compleet. De sauna verbruikt natuurlijk veel energie dus de energie kosten kunnen oplopen maar de uiteindelijke rekening viel mij mee. En de resterende borg ontving ik heel snel weer terug op mijn rekening. Mooie wandelen direct vanuit het huisje en mooie wandelroutes vanuit Monthouet, iets boven Stoumont. Het was een heerlijk comfortabel, ontspannen en zeer rustig verblijf van 11 nachten, eind januari, 2 personen.

The house was clean. Only down pillows, so if you are allergic, there is no other pillow available. For dogs, the steep narrow stairs are not manageable to get internally to the floor with the living room. Going up hasn't worked yet, but going down is not possible. There is an outside staircase to the terrace, but it is made of steel with holes. Also not doable for a dog. Fortunately, we had a large scarf with us that we could fold four times and drape over the stairs so the dogs could go up and down. The manager is peculiar. He was not present upon arrival. After calling, he informed us that he would come by when it suited him, but did not want to give a time and acted very nonchalant. But we wanted to start our honeymoon and not have to wait for him again and be disturbed by him. A bit of a strange man. Further, the stay was okay. The sauna was lovely, the jacuzzi took a long time to warm up, so we didn't use it after having a not-so-warm bath once.

Lovely cottage. Quiet environment. You walk straight into the woods. Beautiful walking area. Deer and beavers to spot. Wood stove takes some getting used to. Keep the door on the side slightly open, then there is sufficient draft and you prevent smoke in the room. Furthermore, everything is heated electrically (including the sauna) so be careful because the consumption must still be settled afterwards.

Spent a midweek in this house with a family of five at the end of February. The location of this house is great: an idyllic stream through the garden and a beautiful forest (with a beaver lodge!) directly behind the house. Also plenty to do in the area.



The house is clean, the WiFi perfect and the beds are good. But the biggest disadvantage is that the house is very cold. You can heat it up but then you have to pay a lot afterwards. The wood stove has worked overtime with us. This makes the cottage very uncomfortable. The sanitary facilities are also in need of modernisation. The sauna works well and is nice and spacious. But even here you can feel the cold on the ground.

Warmly received and a full tour of the house. Beautiful house in a very quiet area, large bedrooms and fully furnished. The wood stove gave the extra warmth and cosiness. Just a pity that the previous visitors had switched off the heating in the bathroom, it took 2 days before the accumulation heating was back on point (higher electricity consumption). Otherwise a nice location with lots of options.

The cottage is as in the photos. Bedrooms are spacious and beds goed.Op itself clean, but if people with a dog have just sat in it, you can smell it. And visibly also picking dog hair in the garden. it is minimal and tatty, in terms of glassware and coffee cups not suitable for 6. Pans etc really need to be replaced.The glass plate on the table is not nice, so take a tablecloth with you. From the house you can easily pick up walking routes. is a beautiful area!

We received a warm welcome. The cottage was very cozy, quiet and cleanly cleaned. Only it was so cold inside that we had to turn on the heating. Also a pity that the chocolates we received as a welcome were expired ... Right next to the house is a large forest. Ideal if you have dogs with you!

Nice, carefully furnished house, beautifully situated on a babbling brook. From the spacious garden you can walk straight into the woods. Inside it was clean, nice kitchen and spacious bedrooms. The sauna also works well. Despite the rain we have made nice walks. Downside is the wood stove, it does not work properly and the first evening we were in the smoke. Then no longer lit.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, schoon huisje, verwarming heeft meer dan voldoende capaciteit ook in de winter, matrassen zijn goed, en de sauna werkt goed (wel in de winter ook de verwarming in de relax-ruimte voor de sauna even aanzetten) De houtkachel is wel wat lastiger om goed te laten branden, hij krijgt iets te weinig aangezogen zuurstof. Wat werkt is dan de glazendeur niet helemaal te sluiten maar op een kleine millimeter open te laten staan. Als je een blok hout tegen de sluithendel plaatst kan je de zuurstof toevoer goed controleren zonder dat er rook in de kamer komt. De houtkachel geeft wel een hoop fijne warmte. Zoals in alle huisjes die ik de afgelopen jaren hebt gehuurd zijn de anti-aanbak-lagen van de koekenpannen wel wat beschadigd. Ik neem altijd een goede koekenpan zelf mee (inductie). Andere pannen/servies zijn er genoeg en van goede kwaliteit en compleet. De sauna verbruikt natuurlijk veel energie dus de energie kosten kunnen oplopen maar de uiteindelijke rekening viel mij mee. En de resterende borg ontving ik heel snel weer terug op mijn rekening. Mooie wandelen direct vanuit het huisje en mooie wandelroutes vanuit Monthouet, iets boven Stoumont. Het was een heerlijk comfortabel, ontspannen en zeer rustig verblijf van 11 nachten, eind januari, 2 personen.
