Wonderful large house. Spacious enough. Electric wood stove was nice. The garden is fenced, which was great for the dog. We only missed a bedside lamp and a trash can for the bedrooms. Walking route from the house with the dog is somewhat limited. Christmas market in Durbuy was super cozy and restaurant Karawa in Barvaux was top, delicious food. We had a nice week.

Arrived at dark and inaccessible house. It is very slippery outside and that caused a fall. The house was ice cold upon arrival and took 2 hours to reach a reasonable temperature. The sauna turns out to be broken. The owner knew that beforehand but we were not informed. Upon inquiry with the manager, I was spoken to very inappropriately by him. Very bad experience!!

Unfortunately, we only heard upon arrival that the sauna is broken (although it has apparently been that way for several months). Fortunately, we could use the extra shower that is present in that space. In one of the bathrooms, the heating had been removed because it is also broken, but it was not replaced. This weekend, the outdoor temperatures were around freezing, so that was quite a cold bathroom! Furthermore, some mattresses are in need of replacement... But: it is and remains a nice house that we have rented several times now. Great contact with the friendly concierge! ! !

The bedding is correct and the accommodation was relatively clean.
Many spotlights do not work in the kitchen and in particular at the hoods, only one bulb to light the two stoves.
No explanation in French which clearly demonstrates that these accommodations are not intended for non-Dutch speaking tenants.
The sauna only available at an additional cost of 45 euros.
Finally, the accommodation is quite poorly soundproofed and above all, the shower head at the top allows almost no water to pass through.
To note the positive points, the spaces are very pleasant and the covered terrace is very practical.

Unfortunately, it could be cleaned a little better (dust on the cupboards, broken glass behind the curtain, dirty dishwasher and filter). The mini football in the garage was broken and the TV didn't work either. The welcome was very friendly. Perhaps a suggestion for next time in cold weather: turn on the heating, because when we arrived it was 12 degrees in the whole house and it took a day before the upper floor was even warmed up. We have made beautiful walks in the area: Wéris, Durbuy and Barvaux are beautiful places in the Ardennes!

On arrival it seemed that the house had not been rented out for months. We wanted to make coffee/tea, but dirty brown water came from all taps throughout the house. All taps ran for half an hour before "normal" water came out. Eventually bought bottles of water to drink.Keuken was also dirty in the kitchen cupboards, dirty cutlery drawer, dirty pans, etc. You had to bring your own bed linen, the moltons that were there could have been washed. The house was otherwise clean, and beds slept well. From the shower "s also came small streams of water. Landlord speaks only French. More often rented Belvilla houses, we thought these were not really worthy of Belvilla.
