It is a magnificent and spacious holiday home where there is practically nothing to criticize. We were very well received by the owner, who was very kind, and communication was very easy. The place is quiet with a beautiful view, which really contributes to relaxation. A true recommendation for those who wish to rest and recharge.

The spacious living room was great for our gatherings, and the terrace was a nice place to enjoy our morning coffee. Additionally, the short distance to the river l’Eau Blanche was a bonus for nature lovers like us!

I had a pleasant stay in this accommodation. The bedroom arrangement was practical, especially with the double bed and the single bed with a pull-out bed. The bathroom was clean and functional, which is always a plus. A good choice for an uncomplicated short vacation.

The accommodation was very family-friendly, we greatly appreciated the high chair and the crib for our little one, the proximity to the butterfly park was perfect for a fun day with the kids, overall a solid choice for family outings!

Our group had a great time here! The living/dining room was large enough for all of us to eat together. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, which made cleaning up after our barbecues on the terrace much easier.

Very nice Gite with spacious rooms and a cozy living room. The kitchen is well equipped and the terrace invites to aperitif and BBQ. The wifi sometimes has cures; some devices could not connect and apparently some internet sites were also not accessible via the wifi (restaurant websites). But this is certainly no reason to give bad points. Friendly welcome and a nice gift on arrival made it great!

The owner was already waiting for us. The welcome was warm. The Chimay "s were ready and madam handed us a delicious piece of CHimay cheese together with the kids. The completely renovated house was immaculate. The garden and terrace were nicely closed with a beautiful view.

Very well maintained house, equipped with every comfort, decent wifi and for those who find that important: there is Belgacom TV. There is a bread machine almost right in front of the door. Fondry des Chiens is worth the effort, but also in winter: quite busy. Very quiet area: on all walks, done in the immediate vicinity, barely seen anyone. Couvin in particular has a kind of shopping center with all possible supermarkets, but also clothing stores and tutti quanti.

We had a nice holiday. It was a spacious, practical and airy house. As a welcome gift we received Chimay beer and Chimay cheese, which we certainly liked. One downside were the flies in the kitchen, when you opened the door, five immediately flew in, maybe a tip to place a fly window or a hanging system to keep the insects out.

We are currently staying in gîte Mariette and are having a lovely time. The house has all the comfort we need today. The view is fantastic! We were also well received by the parents of the hostess and surprised with a delicious Chimay and block of cheese. In the area you can take beautiful walks, visit typical Ardennes towns and go out for dinner. If we have to think of a minus, it might be the beds (creaking at the slightest movement) and the neighbor's cat (?). We are animal lovers but the animal demands attention at any time of the day. Meows at the door, jumps on the table and on your lap. Some people like this but I can imagine that not everyone likes this. All in all, we are enjoying our well-deserved vacation!

The house was super clean, everything you need is there, but it is decorated in a minimalistic way so that there is a sense of space and space for your own comfort.The view from the terrace is magical, and the sheep came walking towards us when We arrived. The village is small, but beautifully situated, and you can take beautiful walks from the village itself. The Virelles lake is highly recommended, and Couvin is quite cozy. enjoyed the house! We were 2 families, a total of 8 people. The youngest was 9 years old. The sleeping place in the hall upstairs is less invigorating, because the stairs are open and all the noise from the salon goes up. Excellent kitchen, living room and lovely fireplace! Recommended

Very nice to start the weekend. Both Chimay and Couvin are within 10 minutes by car. Many beautiful signposted walks in the area. At 20 meters from the house 3 walks start 4, 8 and 11 km. We will certainly come back again!
