This holiday home in Pittem has 3 bedrooms and is suitable for families and friends. The accommodation is located in a renovated horse stable and is located on a beautiful estate.

The holiday home is located in the beautiful hinterland of Flanders, not far from Tielt, Torhout and Roeselare. Pittem is not far from the Westhoek and here you will find beautiful remains from WWI. From the holiday home you can visit the cities of Brussels, Bruges and Ghent.

If you drive through the driveway towards the house, you pass a monumental chapel and a meadow with grazing horses. The estate dates back to 1777 and in one of the stables you will find a small café, where you can drink a Belgian special beer.

This house is not suitable for youth groups and bachelor parties due to (noise) nuisance.

When you stay in a Belvilla home, you can rest assured of a unique holiday home in ideal surroundings at an attractive price. The portfolio of accommodations consists of more than 40,000 holiday homes in 20 European countries. Interested in a weekend getaway, a summer or winter sports holiday or simply a short break? Do you prefer the coast, countryside or mountains? Whatever your preference, there is a Belvilla home to meet your needs, from a cosy gîte for two to a castle big enough for the entire family, from an apartment in the heart of Rome to a cabin in the middle of nowhere, from a simple tree house to a luxury dream villa and from close to home to the other side of Europe.

A Belvilla home gives you the freedom to enjoy breakfast in your pyjamas or continue a good conversation into the morning hours without having to worry about the bar's closing time. Prepare gourmet meals with fresh local ingredients in your own kitchen and take advantage of having your own swimming pool to do as many cannonballs as you want! In other words, you can enjoy complete privacy in your home away from home.

Had a super holiday in the Peirdestal. On arrival Jos and Babs were ready to make everything go according to our wishes. The pellet stove was on and it was nice and warm and we only had to light the tea lights ourselves. Beforehand we ordered a cheese buffet from Babs. She had catered for custom wines and sandwiches as well as the cheese buffet everything was ready in the brown cafe (the carriage huts) where the stove gave warmth. The music played and it was very gezellig. On Saturday we went to explore the Poelberg with their rental bikes but still worth the effort to do. Sunday morning our host Jos provided a generous breakfast with lots of regional products (request the day before) So for us it could not be better, no lugging with food just spoil ourselves! Jos and Babs we had a great weekend and we will definitely come back with our friends because then we rent both holiday homes because we come with 8 + 6 people. Hopefully we can also use the Solexes you rent a ride !! and we can try the infrared cabin and jacuzzi !! greetings from the Van Robaeys family

Pleasant, nice and quiet place and stay. Plenty of room for our 5-year-old family. The kids enjoyed the jacuzzi and the dog Omer! Stay was fully equipped, clean and fresh. Only downside is the low ceiling. My husband, I and the eldest daughter (all taller than five feet) could not stand up in the kitchen and bent down through the doors. But this is no reason not to book this wonderful stay. Thanks for the wonderful week Jos and Babs.

Stay is not the way you should expect! Promised 4 bedROOMS! 8 persons! We arrived 9th of July with 7 adults only 2 bedROOMS and one vide with 1 doublebed , 1 single, 1 childrens bed (2.5m high) no privacy at all. Many dirty objects and water of Jacuzzi not clean! We now have to travel a lot so some people can have a reasonable stay during this periode (only 5 persons can stay this way at house) Belvilla won't do anything to help us out. Owner says Belvilla should have said only 6 persons at the house! They changed the total of the persons and claimed 4 BedROOMS!

Beautiful location! Especially during this time of the Corona had a nice and very safe stay. Several accommodation options on the closed terrain of Babs and Jos, such as 2 holiday homes, a B&B and a safari tent (glamping). In addition, a private beer bar on site, where you can have a drink or have catering provided by Babs and Jos. Very sympathetic host and hostess. We especially enjoyed the peace. And looking up the crowds can be more than half an hour away (Bruges, Ghent, Ypres, Kortrijk). The coast at Ostend and Knokke are also good to drive. If you don't want crowds, the location is a nice place to relax. We stayed for 2 weeks in the De Peirdestal holiday home which also had an outdoor jacuzzi. Deliciously enjoyed! No doubt we will come back here!

The owners, Jos and Babs, were on holiday but left a telephone number from their daughter. She was there within 15 minutes and helped us very well. Jos and Babs also received a warm welcome from us after returning home and resolved a problem with the TV, quickly and well. The cottage is a bit dark due to the fact that there are only one side windows but is decorated in country style, clean and complete. We immediately felt at ease. Unfortunately, we only had a few days of sunshine, but the days when there was sun we could sit outside. Seating enough. If you like peace then this is an excellent place to live. You should pass the train in the distance but we did not experience that as disturbing and you look all the way around the Flemish countryside. It is also a great base for visiting the places of Bruges, Ghent, Ypres and Kortrijk.

The welcome from the owners was very warm. We were able to get the house 2 hours before. It is beautifully situated amidst fields. Since it is a converted horse stall, some rooms are habituated. The toilet on the ground floor is opened by a ceiling opening in the kitchen (the window in the kitchen can not be opened). There is the possibility at the back of the window to open a storeroom / workshop. The ventilation effect was very low. Therefore, it always smelled the toilet on the ground. The rooms on the ground floor are low and dark. There is in the whole house only sliding doors or no doors - no privacy in the bedroom on the 1st floor. Furthermore, there is no toilet door in the bedroom on the first floor. From around 22.00 every few minutes, airplanes fly over the house, so you could not fall asleep. There were mosquito alarms every night and no insect screens. In addition, many localities were closed during the holidays. For two machines we were charged € 25.00! In addition, we had many ants in the kitchen, which crawled in the toaster, in the fridge etc. They were killed with an ant poison by the owner. Another reminder The converted horse estate is decorated with love. The stay in such a hotel you have to like to feel comfortable there.

Have a nice weekend. Beautiful home! The "double bed" on the vide is not a bed but a 140cm wide mattress which is on the floor. It is an attractive house, not always practical, but special. But, it was downright dirty. Used underpants were lying on the couch, pans were often not clean, a lot of thick fabric. Hygiene and cleanliness leave much to be desired. A tea pot and kettle were missing (the kettle was received afterwards).
If you see what we paid for this, considering the above comments, this is way too much. They cleaned everything themselves.
We would like to be called back about this (assuming you have our telephone number) with the question of how you would like to help us with this.

This weekend we stayed in your holiday home "De Peirdestal". We would like to inform you that we were very disappointed with our stay.

- When we arrived it was very cold in the house. We found no instructions for turning on the pellet stove. When your daughter came to help us, the heater seemed to turn on, but after a few minutes the heater seemed to go out. Suddenly the stove started, releasing a huge cloud of dust. We had to open the windows and doors for ventilation.

- There were several hairs in the refrigerator. The refrigerator smelled very bad.
- The dishwashing sponge had already been used several times and did not smell fresh.
- There were no soap dispensers provided. Only soap bars that no longer looked hygienic and also did not release soap.
- There were several cooking pots in the cupboard that had not been washed, just like the baking tray and grill in the oven. In addition, a strand of hair was hanging from the barbecue materials.

- There were food scraps on the sofa and the cushions smelled very musty.
- There was a lot of dust and many spiders/dust webs throughout the house

- The sheets of the bed in the separate bedroom on the first floor had not been washed. It had clearly been slept in because half of the sheets smelled of men's perfume.
- On the bed in the other room there was a bedspread and pillow with a very dirty stain on it.

- One of us suffered a cut on her foot because there was a Heineken bottle cap in the jacuzzi. The water also did not smell fresh and did not get warmer than 33 degrees.

- 1 toilet roll was provided for each toilet, some no longer full. For the rest there was no toilet paper. However, we would stay 3 nights with 6 people. There were also only 2 dishwasher tablets provided.

Moreover, we left a day early because we no longer felt comfortable. We believe that we paid more than enough to have a quality stay. We definitely did not experience this. Attached

There were positives and negatives to this cottage. The positive was especially the outdoor happening. Very nice garden, beautiful view, jacuzzi, lounge, outdoor table, petanque ... Ideal for us & the dogs. The owners have also welcomed us kindly. In terms of location, it is ideal to visit different cities from there. Less positive was the bad smell in the living room (with gusts), not very clean (hair, underwear from previous owners, ...), clogged shower & the living space is fairly dark (few windows). Good to know is that there are actually only 2 closed rooms, the other 2 beds are in a connecting room.

The cottage was neat clean, good beds, spacious and fully equipped. It is very quiet. Babs and Jos were a nice host and hostess who sensed that we are very fond of our privacy. We had a very nice holiday!

We were with 6 girlfriends and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are okay, but upstairs there is only 1 room with a door, so you have to choose who sleeps where :-) The jacuzzi was wonderful. The owners are super friendly and willing to help where needed.

Tastefully decorated converted horse stable. It was very noisy and the sleeping places of 4 people were in the same room. So you must know each other well. The kitchen is sober and not designed for children. Bring your own unbreakable crockery and some games / toys.

The holiday home "De Peirdestall" is beautifully situated if you are looking for peace and quiet. ideal for visiting cities like Brugge and Ghent, as well as the Belgian coast. It's a quiet, rural setting. The landlords are very friendly. The house is furnished in shabby chic style. We were there for a week with 8 people which is ideal.

Wonderful accommodation. Friendly homeowners. The house is fully equipped. Nice cozy decor and great beds. House is very quiet, but a good base for visits to the western corner.
