The house is OK, the location is excellent. However, in the "children's rooms" there is no storage space and not a single coat rack to hang anything on. Storage space in cupboards in the hallway, but not useful if you are with four adults instead of children.
Cleaning can be improved. We didn't think it was very clean. Floors, toilet, sinks had been cleaned. But a good "annual?" cleaning in which the cupboards are taken care of, duvets washed,... is in order. Also not a single mop or broom to be found to clean in between. to turn or clean something up if necessary.

The house and the property are very beautiful in themselves. The area is completely fenced and suitable for dogs.
It was nice that we were able to get fresh eggs every day from the chickens that lived on the property.
It was very quiet and rural all around, perfect for walking dogs and relaxing.
The house was very dirty when we arrived. There were loads of dead insects stuck to the walls, windows and ceiling. There were spider webs in every corner of the house and the general appearance was very unclean. We had to thoroughly clean the sauna before using it and, among other things, remove the remains of dead mice. Apparently the house was not cleaned before our arrival. We also had to pay an additional €50 deposit for waste separation, which we had no information about, although they asked about other costs after booking. Contacting the landlord was rather difficult as he often didn't respond for a long time. The key handover upon departure did not take place at all. The key should be placed on a windowsill. No viewing before departure. We left the house much cleaner than we found it. We also had to clean the bathrooms ourselves before using them, as the shower on the ground floor was very dirty and there were clumps of hair in the bathtub on the upper floor. It was clear that the dirt in the house had built up over a long period of time, even though a flat rate of €90 was paid for the final cleaning. This hasn't happened here for a long time! All in all, it's a shame because this property/property has much more potential. So unfortunately no recommendation.

Had a very nice holiday in a large, spacious and solid holiday home. Super good beds in spacious rooms. Large kitchen with breakfast table overlooking the garden. (We missed a pancake pan and children's cups 😉) Lots of outdoor space, nice sauna and large garden with a beautiful view over the Flemish fields. Located on a busy road, but did not disturb us at all. Perfect location for a visit to the Iron Tower, Plopsaland and the coastline! If we do have to say something, it was that the garden had not yet had spring maintenance, and that there was still some wintry / sloppy appearance in April. The children thought it a pity that the trampoline they had seen in the photos was not present. But all this certainly did not spoil our fun, because the go-karts were a nice alternative. Perfect holiday home, we will be back!

The house was great. Fine spacious, practically laid out and fully equipped. Nice that there was everything available for the children. The huge garden was great especially for our two dogs. The wifi was poor, but in the living room it went bad in the rest of the house and garden. The area was very quiet and not much to do in itself. But we didn't find that a problem. The sea is close by, Diksmuide was a nice town and in Bruges there was a nice subtropical swimming pool.

The accommodation 1 room with enough closets, the other rooms had no closets so everything had to be on the floor, a few cabinets in the hallway and 1 person dropped through his bed. The two of us had a great stay in villa Frontzate. The house is well equipped and the kitchen is very well equipped, with appliances such as cutlery, glasses, plates, etc. A smaller frying pan would be practical if you are not staying with 8 people but less. The bed in the main bedroom is very good. Walking in the immediate vicinity is not really interesting, but if you take the car just about any type of walk can be reached within a short time (beach, polder, Veurne, Diksmuide ...). After a (rainy) walk it is pleasant in the living room sitting on the wonderful soapstone stove. A must!

We had a very nice week in Dixmuide. With the (grand) children we enjoyed this beautiful house, spacious rooms, furnishings, everything is fine. Because the weather was beautiful we also could spend a lot of time in the large garden at the house. For the children there was a large trampoline, go-karts and bicycles to enjoy themselves. That the owner surprised us with bubbles on arrival and that the grandchildren brought us a fresh egg from the chicken coop in the morning gave us the perfect holiday feeling. From this beautiful house we made several trips, De Panne, Lille and Dixmuide itself is also a nice place, this location is definitely recommended.

Very nice house, lots of interesting things (death row, Ypres, Furnes, just as France, for the children watching monkeys and indoor playground. Diksmuide yourself a nice center (and good bakery with delicious frambozenraart!) The reception was very warm, even after we were an hour later than agreed. The stove was burning already full and there was a bottle of bubbly was ready. Very friendly!

The two of us had a great stay in villa Frontzate, The house is well equipped and the kitchen is very well equipped, both with appliances such as cutlery, glasses, plates, etc., A smaller frying pan would be practical if you were not with 8 people but stays less, The bed in the master bedroom is very good, Walking in the immediate vicinity is not really interesting, but if you take the car almost any kind of walk can be reached within a short time (beach, polder, Veurne, Diksmuide ,,, After a (rainy) walk it is nice to sit in the living room at the wonderful soapstone stove, A must!

As a tip for people with children, I would like to take out a subscription on plopsaland. You have it already after 2 times out and it is a super nice park just over 15 minutes drive. The house and the property are very beautiful in themselves. The area is completely fenced and suitable for dogs.
It was nice that we were able to get fresh eggs every day from the chickens that lived on the property.
It was very quiet and rural all around, perfect for walking dogs and relaxing.
The house was very dirty when we arrived. There were loads of dead insects stuck to the walls, windows and ceiling. There were spider webs in every corner of the house and the general appearance was very unclean. We had to thoroughly clean the sauna before using it and, among other things, remove the remains of dead mice. Apparently the house was not cleaned before our arrival. We also had to pay an additional €50 deposit for waste separation, which we had no information about, although they asked about other costs after booking. Contacting the landlord was rather difficult as he often didn't respond for a long time. The key handover upon departure did not take place at all. The key should be placed on a windowsill. No viewing before departure. We left the house much cleaner than we found it. We also had to clean the bathrooms ourselves before using them, as the shower on the ground floor was very dirty and there were clumps of hair in the bathtub on the upper floor. It was clear that the dirt in the house had built up over a long period of time, even though a flat rate of €90 was paid for the final cleaning. This hasn't happened here for a long time! All in all, it's a shame because this property/property has much more potential. So unfortunately no recommendation.

The sea is close by, Diksmuide was a nice town and in Bruges there was a nice subtropical swimming pool.

The sofas in the living room were sagging and outdated. some things need to be replaced to offer guests better comfort 😊 Beds slept well, but also the hygiene of pillows, mattresses and duvets outdated.

Friendly host. There was a bottle ready for us! Older, but comfortable house, well equipped. Lots of space, large garden. Ideal base to visit the region. Our shepherds also had fun with the enclosed garden. The only thing that was disappointing was the rain 😄

Had a very nice holiday in a large, spacious and solid holiday home. Super good beds in spacious rooms. Large kitchen with breakfast table overlooking the garden. (We missed a pancake pan and children's cups 😉) Lots of outdoor space, nice sauna and large garden with a beautiful view over the Flemish fields. Located on a busy road, but did not disturb us at all. Perfect location for a visit to the Iron Tower, Plopsaland and the coastline! If we do have to say something, it was that the garden had not yet had spring maintenance, and that there was still some wintry / sloppy appearance in April. The children thought it a pity that the trampoline they had seen in the photos was not present. But all this certainly did not spoil our fun, because the go-karts were a nice alternative. Perfect holiday home, we will be back!

The house and the rooms look nicer and cleaner on the photos. Upon arrival, cobwebs and dust everywhere, which we found very unfortunate. Especially with small children, hygiene is important.
