Paradise 2019!
We spent our belated summer holiday in this holiday home.
From the booking with subsequent personal care and advice from the landlord, there was nothing lacking in the preparation.
The arrival / transfer was also organised by the landlord at our request and worked perfectly.
When we arrived at the holiday home, we were received in a friendly and personal manner and shown around the property.
Everything is fully equipped, nothing was missing, even a salad spinner :-). The rooms are spacious and the bedrooms are air-conditioned.
The kitchen opens onto the terrace/loggia and we enjoyed breakfast every day in the beautifully maintained garden.
We deliberately decided against renting a car and explored the surroundings on foot or by public transport (BUS)
There is a selection of restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries and various beaches within walking distance.
We were able to "switch off" immediately upon arrival and enjoyed this paradise.

La Preneuse will not be forgotten....
Very nice house with garden and covered terraces. A nice dining area on the terrace for eating, reading and playing in the evening. Fantastic sunsets on the nearby beach of La Preneuse. Advantageous location close to the Black River National Park for hiking (Black River Peak, Macchabée, Alexandra Falls) and of course to Le Morne with its magnificent view. This is the second time we have stayed in this house and we loved it again, and we will be back :)

Holiday with 5 year old child
We spent 2 wonderful weeks in beautiful Mauritius in November 2018.
Actually, I can only agree with the previous positive evaluation
The Lohse family warmly assisted us during the holiday and also in advance with advice and action.
The house is perfectly furnished. Especially the washing machine made for less packing beforehand :).
The garden and the terrace are a dream.
Our 5-year-old grandson was thrilled. He could also watch a DVD while we cooked in peace. In the evening we could watch the flying foxes and in the morning at breakfast the many colourful birds.
With the rental car we were independent and explored the south of the island, la Preneuse is very conveniently located for this.
The people in Mauritius are very friendly and we always felt safe. Our grandson always made friends with the locals on the beach and felt very comfortable. He was optimally protected from the sun by a swimming costume and never got sunburnt.
We would like to thank the Lohse family very much and are so thrilled that we have already booked again for next year...:)

Dream holiday
We spent two wonderful weeks on Mauritius and felt very comfortable in the house of the Lohse family!
Everything worked out great...the communication in advance was very cordial, as was the welcome in the house by the parents-in-law
We especially liked the tasteful furnishings and the atmospheric lighting concept in the house and garden!
Every morning we drank our morning coffee on the terrace while the birds were chirping.
We travelled by bus for the first time and found this very enriching - so we were "in the middle of things instead of just being there"!
Everything was available in the nearby supermarket.
We will definitely be back!
A big thank you to Mr and Mrs Lohse and see you soon....

Beautiful garden, great house, happy to come back!
We spent almost 3 weeks in Mauritius and felt very comfortable in this house. It was quite quiet, the proximity to the road did not bother us at all. We appreciated the privacy and the beautiful garden with many sunbathing possibilities and also liked the location very much. In the area you can find everything you need, a big supermarket, pharmacy, great restaurants and beautiful beaches and with the rental car we could explore the island wonderfully
The contact with the owners is very nice, the local in-laws very cordial and with the maid we could arrange a time that suited us.
The only thing we found a pity was that there was nothing in the kitchen and so we had to go shopping for basics like salt, sugar, oil etc., as well as a sponge, washing-up liquid, bin liners and toilet paper. We would have expected such basic equipment, at least for the first few days. We also left a lot of things behind, as you don't use everything up for such a short time
Also, the internet did not always work, or only very slowly
Otherwise, we enjoyed our time very much and can definitely recommend this beautiful house.

Danger of addiction!!!
There are two ways to spend a holiday in Mauritius: isolated in a resort hotel or in the middle of it all. Since the former is interchangeable all over the world, we opted for the second option and hit a "six with a super number" with the accommodation. But first things first:
The house has a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, bathroom with shower and toilet as well as a guest toilet. Everything corresponds to local standards (including the power sockets) and is very lovingly and tastefully furnished. Of course you spend the day outside, the terrace and the spacious garden are just inviting. It is almost no exaggeration to say that the garden makes a visit to Pamplemousse superfluous, a single splendour of plants. The greenkeeper and the housekeeper make sure that it stays that way twice a week. The soul of the property, however, is Mr Antoine, who scrupulously supervises the work, lends a hand and is simply infectious with his good humour.
Black River / Rivière Noire has everything a holiday resort needs: shopping centre, supermarket, a variety of restaurants and, of course, a freely accessible beach. You can get everything you need here.
To explore the island, a rental car is recommended. However, Mauritians drive on "the wrong side" and with a lot of faith in God. In addition, the traffic volume is quite high and the roads quite narrow and winding. Basically, you should calculate the driving times generously and not expect too much of yourself. Heading north or around Port Louis, you are hopelessly stuck in traffic jams before 10 am and after 4 pm, and an average speed of 40 km borders on breakneck speeding.
We spent three wonderful weeks here and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Das Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen. Eine super Ausstattung und ein wunderschön angelegter, sehr gepflegter Garten ermöglichen einen entspannten Urlaub. Der kleine Ort mit seinen schönen Strand, guten Restaurants und großem Supermarkt ist nicht so überlaufen wie andere Orte.
Vor dem Womens Health Center am Hinterausgang steht häufig ein Taxi. Der Fahrer wohnt nur 2 Häuser weiter. Empfehlenswert sind Tagesausflüge mit dem Taxifahrer, der alle möglichen Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der Insel anfährt.

Eine wunderbare Oase
Wer auf Mauritius Ruhe, Entspannung und Zwanglosigkeit sucht, kann wohl kaum etwas Besseres und Schöneres finden. Wir haben uns insbesondere in den absolut wundervollen Garten, die perfekt ausgestattete Küche und die verschiedenen kleinen Plätze an denen man essen, relaxen, lesen, träumen kann verliebt. Wir sind begeistert fast tausend Kilometer auf Mauritius "rumgefahren", waren mittags oft in ausgewählten Restaurants essen - und waren dann immer wieder froh "zu Hause" zu sein. Danke auch an den liebevollen Empfang durch den Schwiegerpapa (dass wir nicht alles verstanden war letztlich wurscht). A bientot !

wunderschöner Garten und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus
Man merkt sofort, dass das Haus auch vom Eigentümer selbst genutzt wird, es fehlt einfach nichts. Ob es der kleine Grill ist oder auch die Salatschleuder ist, alles ist vorhanden. Wir haben die Zeit dort wirklich sehr genossen, besonders die frühen Morgenstunden mit einem Kaffee im Liegestuhl und den Blick in den schönen Garten gerichtet. Mit etwas Glück kann man dort auch Papageien beobachten. Wir wurden sehr nett von den Schwiegereltern empfangen und im Kühlschrank waren schon ein paar Getränke für uns bereitgestellt. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe zu Fuß erreichbar und auch zum Strand komt man schnell hin. Das Wasser eignet sich mit knapp 28° C nur bedingt zum Abkühlen, aber wir fanden es herrlich und haben es auch jeden Tag ausgiebig genutzt. Wer seinen Urlaub weitweg vom Massentourismus in einer traumhaften Landschaft geniessen möchte, der ist hier richtig.
Wir sind bestimmt nicht das letzte mal hier gewesen.

Traumhaus
In diesem großen, schön eingerichteten und mit wirklich allem Denkbaren ausgestatteten Haus muss man einfach zufrieden sein.
Den Garten, der groß und liebevoll gepflegt ist, möchte man am liebsten gar nicht verlassen.
Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Liebenswürdigkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Schwiegervaters des Vermieters, der der Ansprechpartner für alle auftretenden Fragen ist.
Einziger Wermutstropfen war die Wasserqualität am 10 Minuten entfernten Strand, die zumindest in dieser Woche nicht optimal war.

Traumhafter Urlaub!

Schönes Haus mit Top-Ausstattung!
Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen! Die Küche ist modern und bestens bestückt. Im Wohnzimmer steht eine HiFi-Anlage zum Musikhören, Flatscreen-TV mit DVD-Player und Satellitenanlage. Die mehrfach in den Bewertungen erwähnte Straße in der Umgebung ist zwar hörbar, die Verkehrsdichte in der Nacht geht allerdings gegen Null. Mit dem Hausmädchen und dem sehr netten Schwiegervater, der sich um den Garten kümmert, konnte eine Uhrzeit vereinbart werden.
Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt!

Schönes Anwesen in weniger schöner Umgebung
Haus und Garten sind sehr schön, gepflegt und sauber. Leider führt in geringer Entfernung die Landstraße vorbei. In Köln wohnen wir ruhiger.
Es ist eine starke Störung der Privatsphäre, dass zweimal die Woche morgens um 8 (!) ein Fremder (der Schwiegervater) im Garten arbeitet und es sogar als normal empfindet, auch das Haus selbst zu betreten. Das ist uns bisher noch nie passiert. Man hat ja nichts dagegen, wenn der Vermieter oder beauftragte Personen schon mal (selten) irgendwelche Arbeiten erledigen, nachdem sie sich vorher tel. angekündigt haben. Da sollte man noch nachbessern.

Sehr schöner Urlaub
Großes Haus und sehr schöner Garten (unserer ist aber noch schöner), interessant für Tier- und Pflanzenfreunde wie uns. Bester Badestrand der Insel zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreichbar.
Ohrstöpsel gegen die Klimaanlage und Verkehrsgeräusche sind für Landbewohner wie uns Pflicht, für Stadtpflanzen ist das sicher unproblematisch.

einfach super und empfehlenswert !
Alles was in der Beschreibung steht,stimmt zu 100%. Ein wunderschönes und super ausgestattetes Haus, umgeben von einem zauberhaften Garten. Je nach Lust und Laune kann man in dem Garten oder auf der Terrasse in der Sonne bruzzeln, im Schatten relaxen, Windstille oder eine erfrischende Brise genießen. Einfach toll !!! Und die paar Meter zu einem sehr schönen und wenig frequentierten Strand waren selbst für jemand so absolut "Gehfaulen" wie mich kein Problem. Die liebevolle Betreuung durch die Familie der Eigentümer vor Ort hat den Aufenthalt auch unvergesslich gemacht.
Wir haben einen traumhaft schönen Urlaub dort verbracht und können es nur empfehlen.

Ein Traum im Gruenen
Wir waren 7 Tage zu zweit in diesem wunderschoenen Haus, welches an nichts mangeln laesst. Die Ausstattung ist sehr stimmig und modern, der Garten wunderschoen und sehr gepflegt. Der Kontakt zu den Besitzern aeusserst nett und unkompliziert. Auch fuer 4 Personen ist das Haus gross genug.
Wir haben eine sehr tolle Woche dort verbracht, mit Ausfluegen in alle Himmelsrichtungen und gemuetlichen Tagen am Strand. Gehen wollten wir eigentlich nicht mehr.

Drei Wochen ein Traum

Good day! We are a German-Mauritian couple and live in Frankfurt am Main. We bought the house in 2004 because we immediately fell in love with the great property. In the following years, we spent our holidays remodelling and completely renovating the house. It was not primarily designed as a rental property, but first and foremost as a holiday or retirement home for us. However, since we still have to earn our living in Germany for a few more years, we came up with the idea in 2009 to offer the house as a holiday property for holidaymakers. This was a great idea, as we have had almost exclusively positive experiences so far. It is also a great pleasure to help other people have a nice holiday. The same is especially true for Marjorie`s parents, France and Chantal, who look after the house and the guests on site. We would all be delighted to welcome you as guests too. So see you soon !
