Description
The half-timbered house from 1731 is located immediately below the Vosges mountains in the Northern Vosges Natural Park overlooking the Rhine valley and the surrounding villages. An enchanted garden with 2 terraces goes into the forest. The house was decorated by gallery Margot and the architect Friedrich Waltz with great sensitivity. It offers an authentic Alsatian atmosphere with familial intimacy and charm. This is an automatically generated translation. See the original text by changing the language to german.

Dreamy garden to linger
Over a long weekend, a total of 6 women stayed in the cozy cottage in Alsace and felt completely comfortable. Beautiful little hikes directly from the house, nice restaurants in the area, and above all, the dreamy garden provided a great setting for our weekend. The contact with the landlords and the neighbor was very nice! We are happy to recommend the house!

The idyll in northern Alsace
for 10 days we enjoyed the blooming garden and the little magic house that goes with it. It is perfect for a holiday to relax and hike.
And we will gladly come back - maybe even with one of our grandchildren.
Without a car, you can just start walking on the path above the house and enjoy nature
The day can then be ended in style and deliciously at the Gasthof Zum Goldenen Anker in the centre of the village.

Beautiful timeout!
We spent a week in picturesque Oberbronn, enjoying perfect weather and a beautifully blooming garden dream! The cottage is simply furnished with everything you need for carefree living. The bakery is just around the corner. The terraces invite you to relax and enjoy. This motto applies to the whole area, which can be explored on foot, by bike, car, or however you prefer. The travel time in May/June is perfect if you seek silence (for example when hiking). Castle Schöneck and the Windsteine are worth a hike, with a nice café for a little break. As a lively alternative, Strasbourg is worth a visit, beautiful and pleasant in size! The small Wissembourg right on the German-French border is picturesque with old half-timbered houses and a small canal. The small cheese shop "Cave D'affinage" is a must for lovers and connoisseurs. In conclusion, everything was excellent and highly recommended if you're a city-dweller seeking peace and idyllic surroundings! We've lived like kings in France for a week!
A big thank you to our hosts, the Waltz family! You welcomed us warmly and we had a lovely start with homemade Flammkuchen, Crémant (which we enjoyed multiple times), and stimulating conversations. Thank you to all four of you and best regards from Nadine & Björn from Leipzig!!

Harmonious atmosphere on the outskirts of an Alsatian village
We had a wonderful week in the old half-timbered house! The terrace behind the house, the wine arbor one level higher, and the wild-romantic, but landscaped garden were so wonderful that we spent much more time there than expected, as there is much to see in the surrounding area. Due to the two levels, you can find sun and shade as desired, everything is really ready: sun loungers, barbecue, candle holder, and a special highlight: the Flammkuchen oven with accessories.
Particularly noteworthy is the harmonious interior design: selected fabrics, cozy lighting, and suitable furniture far from the often encountered kitsch in this region or holiday apartments in general (the pictures are not deceiving!). From the upper and attic floors, you can even look out onto the fields through a half-timbered alley.
The hiking trail actually starts right behind the property. The short ascent leads to an idyllic viewpoint. As in many parts of the Vosges, the small and lovingly laid out hiking paths, which are also very well signposted, are impressive. You can also have a lot of fun with mountain biking in this area!
The contact with the landlord was a pleasure, it is worth following his restaurant and winery recommendations! Definitely also take a look at the lovingly and professionally designed website oberbronn.de, there is more information than you initially expect, almost like a travel guide.
Conclusion: If you want to experience the Alsace region authentically, this is the perfect place.
