The manor houses have retained their Tuscan character on the outside, while inside they are tastefully furnished in the typical Tuscan country house style.
Some apartments have a dishwasher. Each apartment has its own terrace with garden furniture and its own entrance. The nearest major town is Montaione (about 8 km). This is a quaint Tuscan town. Here you can experience the local life. In Montaione there is a large supermarket, several small shops, banks, pharmacy, ATM and more.
A small shop for everyday necessities such as fresh bread, there are about 2 km away. The farm Il Poggio is located approximately 20km north-west of San Gimignano in a small village called Sughera.

Cancellation terms:
The following cancellation policies apply: Up to the 91st day before arrival, a flat fee of EUR 40. From the 90th to the 61st day before arrival, 20% of the total price. From the 60th to the 31st day before arrival, 50% of the total price. From 30 days before arrival and for no-shows, 90% of the total price. In the event of a travel warning issued by the Foreign Office or an entry restriction by the Italian government for the period you have booked, you can cancel free of charge; only a handling fee of EUR 40 will be charged. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance, and we are happy to provide personalized advice on this!

Arrive and be right in paradise, that's il Poggio!
We have spent several holidays here now and it is always a dream. The peace and quiet, the beautiful houses that are generously spread out on the estate. Here you can relax incredibly well. (the beds are also great!) The pool offers refreshment and you can spend days there just looking at the view. The hosts are very attentive and yet not intrusive. Here you can let your mind wander while the children can play on the grounds without any worries. If it gets too lonely, there are many beautiful towns in the immediate vicinity and a supermarket with a great meat counter leaves nothing to be desired.

Beautiful quiet location ideal for relaxation
We were at the country estate Il Poggio for the first time and it was a wonderful holiday. Ideal for relaxing and going on excursions. The hosts Giorgio and Tiziana were always friendly and accommodating. If someone can cook, it's Tiziana. The only downside is the very small shower corner. We will come back in 2020.

Tuscany, as one imagines it
If you want to experience the original Tuscany, you should visit Il Poggio. There, Tuscany is as you imagine it: typical and original. Although it is very remote, nothing is lacking. The care at Il Poggio is ideal. And the distances to the cultural highlights are short. Day trips to Florence, Pisa, or Siena (all 60 km away) are possible. Afterwards, you are back in the Tuscan solitude at Il Poggio. A wonderful blend.

Beautiful holiday atmosphere, ideal for relaxing.
For 20 years, I have been visiting Il Poggio repeatedly - with younger and older children/without children - and am always thrilled. The facility is beautifully maintained, the Tuscan-style apartments are clean, the location is ideal for excursions and pleasant for relaxation, with a large pool offering fantastic views, tennis court, and friendly hosts. For me, one of my favorite vacation spots!
