Description
The holiday house De Kirko in old-pilioritic style is in a beautiful, idyllic hillside location, just outside the historical village Milies, in a calm setting between gardens, dense chestnut and oak trees directly above the bay of Pagassitikos. The holiday house is ideal for nature lovers who seek tranquility and like hiking. The rustically furnished house was built in 1867, completely renovated in 1989 and partly renovated in spring 2015. On the ground floor there is the living/dining area with a stove, open kitchen area and direct access to the terrace and garden. From the ground floor a wooden staircase leads to the upper floor – the attic door can be used to separate both floors if necessary. On the upper floor there is an open bed-/living room area with a fireplace and a bathroom. The upper floor can also be accessed via an external staircase.
There is direct access to a roofed terrace. A small, paved, partly steep path leads to the house (approx. 5 min by foot). You can't drive to the house by car, there is only the footpath.
The accommodation can also be booked during the winter for a monthly rent.

We liked this charming house at the outskirts of the village, about 10-15 minutes walk from the centre. From the peaceful terrace you have a nice view on the village. The first floor offers a pleasant living-sleeping room for two persons. The bed is 140cm wide. We enjoyed the open fireplace. Bathing facilities are simple and somewhat worn-down. The ground floor is moldy with an old, slightly dirty kitchen. We could not get the heating working. The owner announced that some improvements are planned.

Sehr schön gelegen und eingerichtet; sehr nette Wirtin des Hauses

This is definately a magic place.A lovely house hidden almost on top of the mountains. This premises has all basic facilities to lock yourself as escape from speedy life. The house has two big (walnutt?)trees which will protect you for the burning sun, which surrely will help you with your comfort to drift away along with the beautifull nature around you. For the romantic warriors: there?s a fireplace inside (on the first floor (sleeping chamber) we?re you can chill at any time for addional comfort. If you want to taste how the original real greek people live, this magic place will give you a glimpse of local living... but is also give you an impression about the living of their ancient forfathers who lived here through the ages. You?ll surely will experience yourself when staying at this lovely house espescially the last 500 meter prior to your arrivval. Highly recommened Ror and Ada from Holland

A very pleasant place with large walnut trees in front of the house, a house in the mountains, that's the atmosphere, quiet, village-like, and within walking distance are the very scenic surroundings and the main square/shopping easily accessible, walks. The rooms are well furnished, practical, equipped with everything necessary. The garden terraces on two levels. The view of the sea is blocked from this spot by a mountain ridge, but the cozy atmosphere in the mountainous area is very appealing, and after a few steps, you can reach places from where you can enjoy the impressive sea view.

Very pretty little house, nicely furnished, sufficient equipment, very nice, supportive and helpful landlord, with whom we only had telephone contact. Very quiet, shady location. On the cooler days in May we missed a sunny spot, the landlord wanted to ensure this immediately by cutting back the trees. The accessibility of the house is not easy: it can only be reached via a steep and VERY bumpy cobblestone path in just under 10 minutes on foot from the parking lot on the street.

The cottage was very nice, cozy, and clean. We already miss the visits of around 8 cats in the garden and the crowing of the huge rooster in the neighboring garden. Our friendly landlord even picked us up personally at the bus stop in Milies. We were happy to carry our luggage on the stony Kalderimi path to the house.

Idyllic location in the beautiful village of Milies! Warm welcome and superb support for inquiries! Hiking plans are available! You can quickly reach the sea but also enjoy life in the mountain villages! It was fantastic and very relaxing! We would rent this house again at any time! Many thanks to Zina and Dimitri!

Wonderful! Idyllic and well-equipped in the house with everything you need, there's even a small home pharmacy! Just sit in front of the house and relax under the huge walnut tree... The path to the house is a bit difficult, especially with luggage, a fairly steep donkey trail of about 200 meters, but the effort is worth it!

Milies is a great village in the mountains. From the house, you can go on beautiful hikes. You can only reach the holiday home on foot via a so-called donkey path (200m), so you should be good at walking. But it's definitely worth it! The house is equipped with everything you need (even a small "pharmacy"). You can relax wonderfully under the large fig tree in the courtyard (no direct sun) or on the small terrace on the 1st floor. The welcome was great. Maria, who was waiting for us, had placed fresh basil and a cake from the local bakery; the lights in the house were on, and she explained everything to us in detail! The owner even called us to ask if everything was okay. All in all, a great house for people looking for peace, as there is no television or WiFi. We can highly recommend the house!

Splendid! Idyllically situated and equipped with everything you need in the house, even a small first aid kit is available! Simply sit in front of the house and relax under the huge walnut tree... The path to the house is a bit arduous, especially with luggage, as it is a steep donkey trail of about 200 meters, but the effort is rewarded!

Comfortable, cozy, lovingly furnished small natural stone house with plenty of flair in a beautiful, quiet location with an expansive, shade-providing walnut tree in front of the door and surrounded by greenery. Only accessible on foot via a bumpy donkey path, the directions should be revised...; we contacted the very nice owner who guided us to the house. If you love nature and enjoy hiking, this is the perfect place! Ideal accommodation for two people.

Very pretty little house, nicely furnished, adequate equipment, very nice, supportive and attentive landlord, with whom we only had telephone contact. Very quiet, shady location. On the less warm days in May, we missed a sunny spot, the landlord wanted to immediately ensure this by pruning trees. The accessibility of the house is not easy: it can only be reached via a sloping and VERY bumpy paved path for about 10 minutes on foot from the parking lot on the street.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Miliès. Le logement était confortable, propre, bien équipé et chaleureux. La communication avec nos hôtes a été facile et sympathique. Nous recommanderons ce logement et y reviendrons avec plaisir !

Idyllic cottage. This is a very picturesque cottage that you can only reach by means of a beautiful kalderimi (donkey path), about 10 minutes walk from the road. From the road you can reach the central square of Milies by walking about 20 minutes uphill, again via a beautiful kalderimini with stunning views. Of course, you can also reach the centre of Milies by car. If you seek a quiet, leafy, and authentic place to stay, away from daytrip visitors and tourists, this cottage is the place to be. If you seek luxury, this is not the place to be. The cottage is tastefully decorated and clean. Its basic amenities add to its charm and the feeling that you are part of the community of Milies. This is definitely a place that I shall remember and will want to return to when visiting Pilio.
