A beautiful, very well-equipped house in a magnificent location, overlooking the sea, olive groves, and mountains! An oasis of tranquility! Here we spent very relaxing days, enjoyed the wind and the waves on nearly empty beaches, listened at night to the sea waves and the chirping of cicadas, and gazed at the clear starry sky above us, all-inclusive open-air overnight stay under the Milky Way with shooting stars and sunset over the sea. A dream! In Keratocampos/Kastri there are small supermarkets and cozy taverns. Thank you, Emanuel, for the warm welcome and this beautiful place! Now we have been able to enjoy "our little paradise" for the second time. 3 weeks of wonderful peace, sun, and a well-equipped house. The house really has everything you need, now even a sandwich maker, great. Special praise must also be given to the 4-star service; every three days, extensive cleaning is done, and there are fresh bed linens and towels. The absolute highlight is and remains the super comfortable spot under the olive tree with a wonderful view of the azure blue sea. Well then, see you next year? ;-)

Here is our second review: after 9 days in the front house, we moved to the VIGLA house... the furnishings are even more high-quality and modern... we found the cozy seating area under the olive tree to be the nicest... also perfect at night, thanks to good lighting, we often sat until well after midnight and enjoyed the mild late summer nights... in the back house, you have a bit more privacy, and if you are traveling with more than 2 people, there is also a bit more space on the upper floor... As mentioned, a perfect vacation spot to relax and unwind, we will come back... ;-)

Location: perfectly situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, 50 meters to the secluded beach of the still sleepy community of Keratokombos - almost at the end of the world. Extensive peace and relaxation with a beautifully stunning starry sky and absolute tranquility. The house: tastefully and lovingly furnished house with perfect amenities, very good quality of stay in the house and on the terrace - there is always enough shade. The fully equipped kitchen also allows for cooking meals. The ambiance, the daylight illumination, and the lighting in the house in the evening make one always feel comfortable - a perfect place to let go.

It is a grand holiday home, with great comfort and extraordinary tranquility. The location is unique, just a few meters above the beautiful natural beach. The view from the terrace is fantastic. We spent two wonderful vacation weeks in Keratokampos. The house is optimally equipped, nothing was missing. The outdoor area is very beautifully designed, and the location of the house is great: the sea is only 50 meters away, a very quiet area, but the supermarket and taverns are within walking distance.

The house benefits from its unique location on the outskirts of the village directly by the sea. This guarantees peace and relaxation. The furnishing is functional and adequate. One can feel completely at ease.

We had 10 wonderful days in the Villa Vigla. It was our first time here, and we were very excited due to the great reviews. We were not disappointed. It is a lovely spot, away from hustle and tourist crowds. The little house is ideal for 2-3 people. It actually has everything you need, including the most important basics in the kitchen, such as olive oil (of course!), vinegar, water, salt, spices, sugar, and dish soap. A good drip coffee machine, as well as a capsule coffee machine (including capsules), are available. Additionally, there is a large refrigerator with a big freezer compartment, and a toaster was promptly brought to us upon request. The manager, who speaks excellent German, was very friendly and pleasant. The location of the holiday home could not be better; just a few steps, not a hundred meters away, and you are in the water. The beach, described as a pebble beach and not receiving particularly good reviews online, is totally underrated. Sure, the round pebbles are scattered in all colors and sizes, and the waves continuously wash them onto the shore; however, in the water, the bottom is fine sand, and you can swim fantastically in the sea here. The water is crystal clear and does not drop off too steeply, simply perfect! Here, where the road ends and it goes only over the beach towards the dunes of Keratokampos, absolutely nothing is happening. You are almost alone. It is also worth highlighting the practical outdoor shower behind the house. It couldn't be better! The huge terrace with the olive tree and the seating area there has already been described much, and there is nothing to add. Here you can have breakfast, dinner, read in the shade on a sun lounger, enjoy a glass of wine in the evening, admire the breathtaking starry sky with the brightly lit Milky Way, and much more.

The house is equipped with everything you need. It is beautifully located at the very end of Keratokampos. The outdoor seating invites you to linger, as the view of the sea is beautiful. My personal favorite spot was the large couch, always shaded by the olive tree. It is a place where you can relax well.

For people seeking peace, far away from the tourist hustle and bustle, House Vigla is simply perfect. The location, facilities, and service are all great. We especially enjoyed sitting in the seating area under the olive tree and looking out to the sea. Among the seaside taverns, we particularly liked Taverna Kriti in Kastri. The Brisolakis family always has something delicious on offer, it's best to follow the chef's recommendations. There are two small minimarkets in the village. For large groceries, it's better to go straight to Heraklion or Jerapetra.

The beach is beautiful and not very crowded, the village of Keratokampos is also quiet. Nearby, you can find beautiful rocks for snorkeling. If you want to drive a bit further, however, you have to drive back up to the main road each time, which can be a bit time-consuming.

It was the most beautiful and best-maintained house we have ever rented on vacation. Very tastefully and high-quality equipped. Every 3 days the house is thoroughly cleaned and all laundry is changed by a very warm woman. The house manager is very concerned about the well-being of his guests and asks frequently if there are any problems, wishes or questions. Directly from the sun terrace, we were in the sea in 2 minutes. We were happy to have taken the back house, as we had a bit more privacy there. If you occupy both houses with family or friends, it is unbeatable. Keratokampos is not very touristy. It is an ideal place to find peace, meet nice Greek people, hike, or many sights do not require a long travel time.

We (5 people) had rented both houses and spent a dream vacation in Keratokampos. The houses corresponded to the description and offered us a very pleasant stay. Especially the sleeping loft of house Vigla deserves special mention. It is comfortably furnished and offers a beautiful place to relax with its roof terrace. The nearby, almost secluded, beautiful pebble beach also invited us to swim. However, swim shoes should be brought along. For those who do not want to cook in the well-equipped kitchen, there are numerous good taverns to visit in Keratokampos. In particular, the tavern "Morning Star" should be mentioned, whose host not only cooks Greek cuisine a la carte, but also according to the guests' wishes. The nice landlord/caretaker with his great helpfulness also deserves a big praise. A completely successful holiday! Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the service team Jassu-Reisen, who always supported us with advice and assistance in planning and carrying out our vacation.

We stayed in the back house of the two holiday homes. We were greeted and shown around, even though it was already after 10:00 p.m. The house is well equipped and very clean. After 3 days of staying, it is cleaned and the towels are changed (this has never happened to us in a holiday home before)! The back house offers a bit more privacy (if not occupied by friends) and a cozy corner with an olive tree providing shade. The description of the approach initially sounded very dramatic and we thought, "What have we chosen here." But the road was repaved 2 years ago (as well as the surrounding coastal roads are in good condition) and the access is no problem (from our point of view - we also have mountains close to home!).

After 3 days stay they clean and change the towels (never happened to us in a holiday house before)! The description of how to get there sounded very dramatic at first and we already thought: "What have we chosen here". But the road has been resurfaced 2 years ago (as well as the surrounding coastal roads are in good shape) and the access is not a problem (from our point of view - we also have the mountains in the vicinity at home!)

The holiday house corresponded to the (promising) description and fulfilled all expectations - fantastic location, wonderful view, very good equipment, direct proximity to the deserted pebble beach, taverns within walking distance (approx. 20-25 min.). The village itself can only be reached via many kilometres of serpentine roads; excursions across the island take time. Overall, only recommended!

We enjoyed our stay in Keratokambos very much and would like to come back to this beautiful house again :-) Everything was very uncomplicated and we wanted for nothing. The kitchen is equipped with everything (except dishwasher, which is no problem). It was very clean and after three days even the bed linen and towels were changed. The location of the house is a bit out of the way. For shopping we took the car, but you can also do it on foot. The village has two small shops and several restaurants. But there is not much else going on here. A quiet place. We also enjoyed the proximity of the sea. You can hear the sound of the sea when you sit down. The outdoor seating area under the olive tree is fantastic. It was very stormy for several days, but we could always sit outside. The seating area is very sheltered from the wind. The outdoor seating areas of the two houses are very close to each other and are not separated, which can limit the privacy. We can only recommend this house.
