Description
The property PETRA MARE with pool is located on a large, well-maintained lawn property near Triopetra in the south of Crete where you have a wonderful view across the Lybian Sea. The name „Stone Sea“ refers to the main components of the property. The property consists of two duplex houses in solid construction and two more stone houses with a shared pool and a wonderful sea view.
The duplex houses PETRA MARE 1-4 are built in a distance of 10m between them and the two-storey detached house PETRA MARE 5 is approx. another 40 to 60 m away. At the left-hand boundary of the property, approx. 50m away from the pool, there is the detached house PETRA MARE 8, which was re-built in 2017.
The large, enclosed garden and lawn property PETRA MARE is overgrown with trees, plants and flowers of the typical Cretan flora. The 50sqm oval pool (approx. 5 x 10m and 1,20 to 1,80m deep, non-heatable, in operation from 1.05.-31.10.) with sunbeds and parasols is a refreshing and relaxing area on hot days for all little guests and grown-ups as well.
The modern furnished detached house PETRA MARE 8 is slightly offset to the duplex half PETRA MARE 4, which is currently used by the young landlord family.
PETRA MARE8 is on ground level with a roofed entrance terrace and direct access to the garden and is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Connected to the living/dining area is the open kitchenette. From the living room you get to both bedrooms and the shared bath. There is a direct access from the living area to the ground level, roofed terrace and the garden and pool.
Secluded tranquillity, Mediterranean country idyll, a charming coastal landscape, magnificent sandy beaches and a very clean sea is what you can expect in this part of the southern coast of Crete. The distance to the next village Akoumia is about 10 km. The distance to Spili, where you have a wide choice of shopping facilities, is approx. 20km. About 2km from the holiday houses on the large beach of Triopetra are some tavernas.

The accommodation is basic but very comfortable and extremely clean, you have everything you need when on holiday and the internet conection is also reliable. The views are fantastic (see and mountains) and the beach is very closed. You share the swimming pool with the other guests but most of the time you are on your own. Tavernas with good food nearby but you need a car to explore the area and get around Crete.

Lovely stay in this beautiful little house. Host was very helpful. Bed setup was 2 double rooms when we arrived. Shared pool very quiet and often just to ourselves. Car is essential and there are no amenities nearby. Lovely taverna 1 mile walk, great beach close by with free sunloungers and 2 tavernas. 1 hour from Rethmeyno by car and 2 hours from Chania Airport.

De ontvangst was fijn. De host is super vriendelijk en legt duidelijk uit wat je over het huisje moet weten. Het appartement is prettig om in te verblijven. Inclusief een zwembad waar je met enkele andere gasten gebruik van kan maken met fijne ligbedjes. En omdat je wat hoger zit heb je een heerlijk uitzicht. Met de auto waren we binnen een paar minuten op het strand of bij een heel fijn restaurant (Filenia). Als van niet al te toeristisch houdt, is dit een heerlijke plek om te verblijven.

A lovely house in an amazing location. Out of season so the quiet was really enjoyable. The accommodation was perfect for us( 2 grown ups and 2 toddlers) and very clean. Triopetra beach is very close and other fantastic beaches, mountain walks and nice tavernas. Out of seasons(before Easter) be aware that convenient store are a bit further away if you need. We recommend this place. Thank you

Friendly, helpful owner with sufficient presence. Due to the strong wind that persisted for several days, the already useless shutters, which were incorrectly attached, rattled fiercely, so that sleeping was only possible with the intake of Valium. House 8 not a highlight from the outside, but in terms of equipment and room layout the best compared to 1-4.

The property is secluded and very quiet. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The apartment was functionally furnished, but the kitchen was a bit spartan. If you want to cook, you quickly reach the limits with pots, cutting board, and knives, for example. Given the many mosquitoes, the fly screens on the windows were very welcome. However, these were obviously installed afterwards, with the result that the shutters could no longer be closed. And since there were no opaque curtains either, it was very unpleasant in the darkness in the bedrooms. In the morning, you woke up very early because you were exposed to the sun early. This should be remedied, but not at the expense of the fly screens. Despite everything; the quiet location, the beautiful sea view, and the well-kept property resulted in a very nice holiday - anytime again!

Wat een heerlijke, rustige plek in werkelijk prachtige natuur! In werkelijkheid was het nog mooier dan op de foto's! We hebben genoten van het heerlijke zwembad, het rustige mooie strand wat dichtbij was, wandelingen in de bergen... Het huisje was netjes en schoon, aan niets ontbrak het. En niet te vergeten het prachtige uitzicht. Zeker een aanrader als je van natuur en rust houdt!

jolie maison avec 5 couchages. A première vue, tout est bien mais ça c'est avant de vouloir utiliser les équipements. Quand nous sommes arrivés, la cuisine était disjonctée au niveau du compteur. nous avons vite compris pourquoi. Quand vous utilisez le four, tout disjoncte et il vous faut trouver le disjoncteur général à l'extérieur de la maison. N'attendez pas de votre hôte qu'il vous aide et lui faut 24h pour répondre. Attention ça disjoncte parfois avec la clim aussi. Mauvaise odeur dans les placards sous évier. Par contre, belle piscine propre avec transat La vue est très jolie et le jardin très beau. Une plage sympa a 4mns en voiture et un petit resto très bon à quelques minutes et c'est tout. Faites vos courses avant.

The location of the facility is remote and very quiet. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The apartment was functional, although the kitchen was a bit spartan. Those who want to cook, for example, quickly reach their limits with the cooking pots or cutting board and knives. Given the many mosquitoes, the fly screens on the windows were very welcome. Remedy should be provided here, but not at the expense of the fly screens.
