Sehr schöne Wohnung, alles ist wie beschrieben und der Pool ist sogar größer als auf den Fotos. Gute Sauberkeit und absolut zufriedenstellende Räume. Die Strände sind wirklich nah, es dauert 5/10 Minuten mit dem Auto, um sie zu erreichen Das einzige Problem ist, dass das Haus steht ein wenig isoliert ist, aber ich denke, es ist klar, wenn man bucht. Absolut zu empfehlen!

The location is stunning. Those seeking peace and relaxation are exactly right here. This apartment consists of 2 levels, so it feels like there are 2 rooms. The furnishings are sparse but sufficient. The design and equipment of the kitchen serve their purpose. There is enough cupboard space, a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and an electric stove with an oven, allowing for the possibility of preparing a meal if needed. The available washing machine is particularly advantageous for longer stays!

We still felt very comfortable in PETRA MARE - if it weren't for the new 'floodlight' lighting. Stargazing became difficult because of it. We also did not like the new lighting in the bedroom of apartment 1 at all. Otherwise, this facility is very nice and quiet and highly recommended.

Petra Mare was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! Wonderful view, amazing pool for the kids! The place was really close to the most tropical beaches of southern Rethymno! A special thanks to our host Babis for his kindness and eagerness to help!

Very beautiful location, very quiet and with a nice view. Pleasant furnishings, simple but tasteful; we felt comfortable. The pool is a great joy for the children. If you arrive on the weekend, be sure to bring provisions for the first few days, especially for breakfast, as there is hardly anything to be found locally. Otherwise, there are several taverns nearby where you can eat well and inexpensively at any time. The next beach in Triopetra is very pleasant, calm, and not boring due to the three large rocks. There are also many beautiful small beaches to discover in the area. October is an ideal time to travel, the water is still nice and warm, sunny, and not too hot.

Well, what can I say: after the bad luck with the construction site in May, we had actually rented house number 4. Upon arrival, we had to realize that this house was occupied :-(((( The house numbers 1 and 4 had simply been exchanged. But the counterpart was also not accessible or ready for occupancy. After several calls to the company Jassu, we were finally able to move into a dirty house after 2 hours of waiting, after a journey of 15 hours by now. WHO screwed up here couldn't be clarified with the non-English speaking owner. It surely wasn’t Jassu’s fault, but rather the stubbornness of the other guests and the typical Cretan readiness for chaos. After we cleaned the house, we firmly vowed to enjoy our vacation even in the "wrong" house. The construction work on the new house had been completed, so there was peace at the front of the property. All good. But one of the Petra Mare houses we will definitely not book again during our visit next year. . . . . Marina and Andreas Sentker

In Triopetra, a great holiday home with a pool and amazing view awaited us. The house was in excellent condition with high amenities (air conditioning, etc.) even by Greek standards. The entire process went smoothly. Triopetra and PETRA-MARE are recommended for those who love solitude, cicadas, and occasionally cool winds and are not deterred by a somewhat longer car ride to other highlights of Crete. My conclusion: Any time again.

...for the first evaluation in this house: there is also a washing machine in houses 1 and 4 (not mentioned in the house description), which we greatly appreciated. Next time, there will be room in the suitcase for a few bags of bread rolls ;-))))) Since we had a few issues in May, we also thank you warmly for the travel voucher from the company "jassu." For the second time, we visited this nice facility. The apartment numbers 1 and 4 are excellent for 2 people. Slightly disturbing for us in May were the ongoing construction works on a new building on the property. However, considering that these will surely be finished within this year, it should become quieter again, and the property, garden, and pool area will also be better maintained. This year, we missed a bit of the support. Two days of official power outage should be communicated. But otherwise, it was okay - the area is a real hit for lovers of peace and solitude. Exciting evenings are sparse due to the distances and poor roads. Driving at night is very tiring ;-)) So, stock up well for self-catering, although you can get some small items on site. But there are enough nice taverns there and a picnic on the beach... Wonderful. It is certainly not the last time we will vacation there. And maybe the houses will still get a shower curtain and small reading lamps next to the bed.

Very friendly welcome, everything perfect in the holiday home itself, apart from the (typical for the country) "Greek bath" (always too small, always built in a way that everything, including the toilet seat, gets wet when showering). Perhaps a reading lamp and more comfortable chairs at the dining table would be recommended for a complete experience. Shopping in Akoumia and Spili is not a problem. Very good hospitality at the very beautiful beach.

Very nice, spacious house with a lovely pool area. Very clean. Since there are only a few apartments, the complex is not overcrowded. About 2 km to the beach, a car is essential as the nearest larger towns, Aghia Galini, Akoumia, and Spili, are quite a distance away.

We liked the apartment. There are two semi-detached houses on the property, both very new. There is a beautiful view to the sea, a pool for cooling off in the summer. The interior was new and functional, the kitchen fully equipped, air conditioning available (which we were glad for during temperatures over 40 degrees). Unfortunately, there was a slight smell from the septic tank coming through the shower drain in the bathroom, but it was not noticeable in the sleeping/living area. There are two things you should know: 1. In the summer, it can be extremely windy, especially on the south coast (the umbrellas were already broken when we arrived, the wind was sometimes so strong that we couldn't eat outside because the bread and even the plates were blown off the table). Of course, the landlord is not responsible for this. We always ate at the tavern about 100 meters away from the house, and there was no wind there. 5 minutes drive to the nearby beach (and there we also had to hold onto our dishes more often, it's just part of it). 2. If you're looking for mass tourism, you're in the wrong place. Here, apart from a few taverns and holiday houses, there is practically nothing. The nearest minimarket (emphasis on "mini") is almost a 30-minute drive over the mountains. If you don't want to eat in the convenient and super nice tavern all the time, you should best stock up on everything you need in one of the few larger supermarkets in Heraklion or Chania (sitting in the car for three hours because of orange juice, butter, or bread is not really enjoyable). Regarding Car Rental: If you want to explore the island, we can recommend a Jeep; we randomly got one and were very happy about it afterwards - it makes the potholed switchbacks with their almost vertical ascents really fun. There isn't much more entertainment in the area, just the magnificent mountain range, super beautiful, almost deserted beaches for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling, hardly any traffic.

We really enjoyed our time! The place is located in a very beautifull and quiet area. You really need a car to see the environment but it is defenitely worth it. The house is well equiped and we loved to pool!! Would definately recommend it!

The picture didn’t lie. We really loved our apartment and the pool is such a bonus. The hosting was friendly and excellent. Just 2 km from a choice of both Triopetra beaches, means you have an excellent base from which to explore. But for the days you just want to relax, hang out at the pool and make friends with your neighbours. Thanks so much, we will be back.

Somewhat secluded (18 km to Spili), but beautifully and peacefully situated, well-equipped holiday apartment. Very well-maintained complex with sunshades and pool, good care by the owner. Beautiful beaches 2 km away, with a good and inexpensive tavern "Apanemia" on the small beach.

Beautiful and very quiet location with a view of the sea! Romantic garden. Very nice, uncomplicated landlord! Comfortable beds... but only 1.40m wide! In bad weather, there would be no cozy common room in the house, as the living kitchen has no windows. Dreamy beach with great taverns. Very small, authentic shop nearby. We would love to come back!

We were for the 2nd time for 6 weeks at the Petra Mare complex. It was beautiful again. The furnishings of the rooms could be more functional and appealing. But you get used to the fact that there are no seating options in the bedrooms. You just have to improvise. Also, the kitchen equipment with dishes, glasses, and pots is not optimal for 4 people at the end of the season. But in terms of cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the landlord's son, who takes care of everything intensively, one can be very satisfied. The outdoor areas in particular are very well maintained. Overall, highly recommended for people who are mobile and love peace.

The holiday home is located in a beautiful location in the small village of Triopetra on the south coast of Crete. We spent very relaxed holidays here. The landlord takes good care of the property and small problems are solved immediately. So, anyone looking for peace and a beautiful, well-equipped house is absolutely in the right place here. In the area, there are 5 tavernas and a mini-market. For slightly larger shopping trips, you can drive to Spili in about 25 minutes. We enjoyed it so much that we would love to go there again.

We had a great vacation with our kids in Triopetra. Great coast! Just a lot of driving for further excursions until you reach the main road. The on-site manager is super nice and takes great care of things. We would go again - our kids alone because of the pool and the "little bay"!

This review refers to apartment 3. Regarding cleanliness and location, there is only positive feedback. The design of the houses and the overall complex is also very successful, with some functional drawbacks. For example, there are no windows in the living kitchen (a glazed front door would be very helpful here) and in the bathroom of the upper bedroom. The internet serves its purpose but is not always stable. It would be helpful to have a note before arrival that - as is often the case in Crete - the key is in the door upon arrival and contacting the landlord is not necessary. Nonetheless, we felt very comfortable. The location and the landscape/beaches are unique. Definitely worth recommending are, apart from Triopetra Beach, excursions to Agios Pavlos/Sleepy Dragon (snorkeling in the head of the dragon is a pleasure in calm seas; the tavern is also recommended) and the nearby Sandy Hill Beach, as well as to Amoudi Beach and Skinaria Beach. An outstanding (with a focus on food rather than service) tavern can be found in Spili: Maria & Costa.

The location is very quiet and the houses are pretty nice. In the distance of 1.5 km, there is a nice and empty beach with lovely taverns. In my opinion, the houses (kitchens) could be better equipped. There is a shortage of kitchen utensils for food preparation. The closest market is in Splili, which is 18 km away, but if you go on excursions, you will find many small or larger markets on the way that are open until night. If you arrive at Petra Mare, it is very likely that nobody will wait for you, so you should just look for your house on your own (one of those with keys in doors). A car is necessary there. Anyway, the place is worth visiting.

We were in house 2 of the complex at the end of June / beginning of July. The house is really great: good and relatively new equipment, sufficient space, fantastic sea view. The only criticism: at first, we had no satellite TV reception, then almost only Arabic or Polish channels, which was somewhat disappointing during the World Cup. The very friendly and helpful son of the landlord was dependent on a technician from Heraklion who did not show up. The entire facility is very well-maintained, the beautiful pool is cleaned regularly. We also liked the location very much. The amazing, very spacious and yet not very crowded beach of Triopetra with a nice tavern and a friendly beach bar is only 1km away. You can shop in Spili (about 25 minutes drive). However, it can sometimes get quite windy. The North wind Vorias blows particularly strong in the area around Plakias, which we also experienced on 2 days (including broken branches and power outage). In general, we felt very comfortable, could relax wonderfully, and can definitely highly recommend the resort for this purpose.

This apartment is also very suitable for a 2-month stay. The rooms and the overall complex are much larger than you would expect from the internet photos. Especially the well-equipped kitchen allows for self-catering if you don't feel like going to the tavern. The care provided by the landlord (son) is extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in this great resort from mid to end of June. . . It did not promise too much. Everything was exactly as described in the catalog and on the website. The large apartments are very well equipped. Sufficient space for 4 people. The only thing missing is a wardrobe in the lower sleeping area. But even there, we managed with a few chairs and the TV shelf. It was repurposed at short notice. The pool and the entire complex are very well maintained. The manager (a very nice, polite Greek young man, unfortunately I forgot his name) is completely uncomplicated and takes care of the guests' needs lovingly. He even gives out a can of Cola when you go to refill at his "day job" at the gas station in Akoumia ;-). Triopetra Beach is a dream for anyone who likes large, long beaches where people don't line up like sardines in a can. On a width of more than one kilometer, very few people frolicked. The crystal-clear water, the clean beach invite you to swim. If you then want to eat or drink, you can simply drop by the tavern Apothiki at Antonis and we are always greeted very nicely. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. All in all, it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. It is definitely an address you will gladly return to. Highly recommended!!!

We really enjoyed our vacation. The property is beautifully appointed and situated with a lovely view of the sea and the Milky Way at night. However, especially in July, one should not underestimate the strong gusts of wind that make reading a newspaper or book by the pool impossible and can break umbrellas. We did get used to it after a few days.
