Description
For your stays in the centre of Alsace, with family or friends, we offer you the countryside in the city.
Indeed, the Chouette Gîte, a family pavilion entirely renovated in 2020, is ideally located in the heart of the coveted market garden district in Sélestat, a stone's throw from the historic centre of this pretty town and a few minutes from its natural treasures (Illwald reserves, cycle paths ), directly on the signposted route of the Boucle verte (14 km of discovery around and in Sélestat).
For your excursion program, you will be 20 mn by car from Colmar (10 mn by train), 35 mn by car from Strasbourg (20 mn by train), 40 mn from Europapark; you will also be 5 km from the wine road and a few kilometres from the Haut Koenigsbourg castle, the Stork Park, the Volerie des Aigles or the Monkey Mountain. You will also be able to make mountainous escapades in the Vosges or the nearby Black Forest or simply go to meet the Selestadian monuments and museums (churches, humanist library, bread museum, ) and stroll on one of the many terraces in the city centre.
For your comfort, the Chouette Gîte consists of a detached house of 120m2, surrounded by a flowered garden and a grassy orchard in which it is nice to stroll on summer evenings. The exterior, accessible from the kitchen and the dining room via a large balcony, is equipped with a garden table and chairs and sun loungers. A plancha is also available.
After crossing the porch, you enter a beautiful entrance hall which leads to the living room (sofa bed, armchair, TV), the dining room (library, games), the newly equipped kitchen (oven, ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, tassimo, microwave, filter coffee maker, toaster ) with dining area, the bathroom (Italian shower , double washbasin, washing machine) and a separate toilet.
A large staircase leads you then to the first floor, to the night area consisting of a bedroom with bed , a bedroom with bed and a bedroom with bed All rooms are equipped with bedside tables, wardrobes (wardrobe and shelves), mirrors. A second WC with washbasin completes this level.
For the comfort of the families, all the necessary baby equipment is provided free of charge (bed, bath, changing table, high chair, stroller/stroller, safety gates).
Outdoor games are also available for small and large children under the responsibility of the parents (sandpit, slide, trampoline, rackets with net, football goal) as well as board games, books and puzzles.
Bicycles are available free of charge (without helmets) to facilitate travel to the various places and attractions in the city.
The house is fully covered in WIFI.
Parking spaces are available on the property.
For the respect of the neighborhood, we do not want parties to be organized in the house.
In principle, rentals are for a minimum of 4 nights, at a rate of 70 to 100€ per night for 2 to 5 people until 24/11/2020; rates are increased by 20€ per night from 25 November 2020, however we are flexible according to the season and availability, please contact us.
In addition to this you will have to add the tourist tax per person as well as the cleaning fee at the end of your stay fixed at 40€.
These rates include all bed linen (beds made on arrival), towels and kitchen towels
The acceptance of animals will be made on express request and will be the subject of a specific invoicing.
The house is entirely non-smoking; please respect it.
A deposit of 300€ in cash is required when you receive the keys and will be returned on departure if everything is OK.
Arrivals are from 15 hrs and departures from 10 hrs at the latest.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is ideally located in a very coveted area of Selestat, a town of 20,000 inhabitants in the centre of Alsace, between the plains, vineyards and mountains of the Vosges.
Sélestat is served by a train station (many connections to Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Colmar to facilitate your visits).
The airports of Basel-Mulhouse and Strasbourg-Entzheim are nearby.
By road, Selestat is directly accessible from the A35 motorway.
In 30 minutes you can reach Europapark and Rulantica, world-famous amusement parks located in Germany.

Cancellation terms:
- You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

Entirely renovated in 2020, the house offers all the comfort for your stays with your family (children and baby welcome) or simply for 2 people. It is also ideal for your business trips because although it is quietly located, it is close to all amenities.
