The cottage:
The chalet "small doos" is suitable for four people. It has two modern bedrooms. A baby travel bed is also available. In the master bedroom there is a large wardrobe with plenty of storage space for clothes and equipment. There is a bathroom with a small washstand, toilet and large shower
The modern kitchen has four gas hobs, extractor hood, mini oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
The cosy living and dining area invites you to linger and relax. The chalet is equipped with central heating. There is free W-Lan
To the chalet belongs a parking space as well as a wonderful garden for relaxing, sunbathing and socializing. The garden is partly fenced in and protected by hedges. In the garden house there are two folding bikes, two kayaks and a barbecue.
Holiday park de Strandloper is very child friendly. There are many great playgrounds for the little ones to discover.
Place and surroundings:
Scharendijke is a small, typically Dutch village on the Schouwen-Duiveland peninsula and is situated directly on the Grevelingenmeer
Only a few minutes walk away is a small beach with a water climbing frame for children. Children enjoy catching crabs, searching for shells and playing on the climbing frame
The centre of the village is only a few minutes walk away. There are great restaurants, a bicycle rental, the marina and a large supermarket Plus. Here you get everything your heart desires. In the neighbouring park (approx. 250 m) there is a small Spar supermarket. There you can get fresh rolls for a good start into the day.
Only one kilometre away begins the Brouwers Dam, a hotspot for water sports enthusiasts. In addition, the 18-kilometre-long beautiful North Sea beach (within walking distance) begins here. Here you can build sandcastles, fly kites, take a walk and immerse yourself in the beautiful sea. Dogs are very welcome
Only a stone's throw away lies the tourist seaside resort of Renesse. Renesse offers numerous shopping facilities, restaurants and cafes, boutiques and much more. Here you can stroll around and shop for stylish fashion and decoration.
We recommend a walk or bicycle tour to the surrounding villages of Ouddorp, Burgh-Haamstede, Westenschouwen and Zierikzee. Discover the diversity of Zeeland with beautiful nature, meadows and forests, dune landscapes and beach and sea.
In the cities of Middelburg, Zierikzee, Vlissingen and Domburg you can combine art and culture with a great shopping trip.
And if there's a bit more action, visit the Delta Park Neeltje Jans adventure and water park, the Zeeuws Museum in Middelburg, the subtropical swimming pool Omnuim in Goes or one of the fun parks with indoor and outdoor games.
And not to forget the hotspot for all water sports enthusiasts: Brouwersdam.

Great time in the little Doos
We were three (1 adult, 2 children) in the small Doos. We felt very comfortable from the first minute. Everything is lovingly decorated and furnished and very clean. Once the WiFi went out, which was especially difficult for my 15-year-old daughter ? but the landlord immediately made sure that it worked again. We did not go to the Grevelingenmeer because the nearby beach is simply too beautiful. A kilometer-long sandy beach invites you to sunbathe here. The park is also very nice. We will definitely come back.

A great time!
We had a very nice stay at the "Kleine Doos". Very clean, very lovingly and comfortably furnished and decorated, so that a feeling of well-being immediately set in. The calendar in the bedroom even showed my date of birth :D
Everything we needed was there, and the park is also very well-maintained and clean, with great playgrounds for the children. Personally, we didn't like the small beach with the water climbing frame, but a few minutes' walk away, you can already reach the "real", beautiful beach where you can walk for miles and admire lots of shells, jellyfish, etc.
We were already familiar with the surrounding villages, but it's always nice to stroll around there a bit.
Perhaps important for some: very dog-friendly, so that even the four-legged ones have a good time :)
We will definitely be back!

Very satisfied 23.5.-29.5.22
We can highly recommend the accommodation. The house is located in a camping park and has a very good location. The playgrounds are only a few meters away, so the children could quickly memorize the way. Children have 100% fun there. With the children, the sea can be quickly reached by bike, wagon, or car. A water climbing park with grass and sand is a few minutes' walk away. A wagon is provided in the accommodation, which is great and saves space in your own car. 2 bicycles for adults. A short trip to the supermarket was great.
The house is really very clean and modernly furnished. The beds were more than comfortable (the mattress is nice and firm).
Plenty of storage space in the house. The bathroom is also great. Great shower. The large fridge and large freezer are top-notch.
We can only report positive things. The only downside is the vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, it was very weak, especially with sand and crumbs from children, it's important that it can handle that.
Very nice landlord, they were quickly accessible for questions before and during the stay.
We will gladly come back.

Romantic Christmas holiday in the mild maritime climate of Zeeland
Actually, we had booked from the 23rd. 12. onwards. However, since there were no previous tenants, we were allowed to arrive the night before. A super nice gesture from the landlord.
As Zeeland has always been our fixed holiday destination over the Christmas holidays, we already knew our way around well and were able to stock up on everything we needed at the local supermarket on the same evening. The holiday accommodation was super clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a vacation. This ensures that you immediately feel comfortable, and there is no need for an adjustment period. As geocachers like us, you will get your money's worth here. There are great locations that have thrilled us. For example, we have never been able to watch seals hunting for fish. This spectacle can be observed at the Brouwersdam. Also, watching the New Year's swim is always interesting. You don't have to participate :) . Everything is easily accessible and worth visiting Zierikzee, Middelburg, Vlissingen, Haamstede. The list could be expanded with many other places because there are so many lovely little towns by the water here. The nature in the holiday park is also fantastic. We were able to observe and photograph a green woodpecker in the parking lot of our car early in the morning. As a nature photographer, this warms the heart. A day trip to Belgium with Bruges, Ghent, and Antwerp is also possible. Here's another tip: the cemetery of Bruges (the most beautiful in Belgium) is also something special. It's a shame that we couldn't use the outdoor area in winter. In summer and in the sun, it's definitely a great place to linger.

Enough space for 2 adults and 2 children. A great campsite for children, plenty of opportunities to play
