The "Dürrwieser Hexenhaus", originally built in 1767, is part of the unique Historic Forest Holiday Village Dürrwies, situated at an altitude of 780 m on a slope in the middle of the forest and accessible only by a forest road.
The historic witch's cottage impresses with its stylish simplicity. All kinds of handicrafts from everyday farming life, antiquarian collectibles and lovable rarities define the character of this unique retreat.
In the living room you will find a cosy sofa, a wing chair with reading lamp by the open fireplace, a radio with CD and USB connection, many CDs with selected music, board games and a bookshelf with reading material. An atmospheric evening in front of the crackling fireplace tempts you to read, listen to music and becomes an unforgettable holiday experience
In the very well-equipped kitchen-cum-living-room with underfloor heating and cosy dining area, you have a 4-plate ceramic hob, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, hot water maker, high-quality cooking utensils, plenty of brand-name crockery, glasses and cutlery.
Shower room with WC, hairdryer.
Via a spiral staircase you reach the gallery with farmhouse cupboards, a bed couch and the bedroom with two beds and balcony
The small library with approx. 200 books tempts you to read.
In front of the house, a gravel terrace with the house bench invites you to enjoy, not only in summer a popular place. Deckchairs and a mobile charcoal grill are available in the shed. There is also room for your bicycles or winter sports equipment.
Wood for the open fireplace is stored at the witches' house.

The Historical Waldferiendorf Dürrwies is not 20 km from the motorway junction Deggendorf away. Drive towards rain over Rusel, then after about 15 km turn right to Seiboldsried v. W. and drive through the village. The last kilometers leads through a well-developed forest in the small forest hide Dürrwies. Here the witch's house is in a generous arrangement with other historic buildings in Bishop Untermaiser forest.

Dürrwies is largely car-free. At the entrance there is a car park with partially covered parking spaces. For loading and unloading, you can naturally go to the house. Especially in the dark season we recommend the carriage of flashlights as the "forest hideout" Dürrwies waived street lighting. Breakfast rolls are delivered on request to the house, keeps beverages a village kiosk ready. Wood for the fireplace superimposed on the house.
