The old wheelwright's shop from 1860 was a small, reed-thatched farmhouse typical for Angeln, where also the cart wheels for carriages and wagons were made. Since 1976, the ensemble of the farmhouse and the converted stable has been family-owned. The completely renovated farmhouse has a generous 124 sqm space and 5 rooms, the beautifully landscaped garden is 1300 sqm large and offers, besides two garden sheds and a terrace, ample space for playing and relaxing. The highlight is the conservatory with a wide view over the fields!
Currently, 6 bicycles (5 x 28 inch, 1 x 26 inch, men's and women's, 5 - 21 gears) are available for free use.
Our carriage workshop is located on the edge of the village Rabenkirchen on a hill, the side road is very little traveled and therefore beautifully quiet. Perfect for relaxing, whether in the garden, on the terrace, or in the house. There are two bedrooms, each with a large double bed, and a large intermediate room (ideal for children) with a sofa bed for 2. Conveniently, the door to the hallway can be locked, and the rest of the house can be accessed through the hallway, so no one has to go through the intermediate room. One bedroom has a spacious, private shower room. The cozy kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, etc. From here, one accesses the bright and friendly living/dining room. All furniture is high-quality and made of solid wood in a Scandinavian style. From the living room, there is the much-praised expansive view over the garden and the adjacent fields. Finally, the conservatory is a place for dreaming and with the cozy warmth of the underfloor heating, even on stormier days, it feels like sitting right in the middle of the old farmhouse garden. Right next to the conservatory is the second, modern shower room, which also has underfloor heating. From the conservatory, one directly accesses the large, wind-protected terrace and the old cottage garden.

Our thatched-roof house is far from the main road, which takes you quickly to the nearby small towns of Kappeln (10 km) and Süderbrarup (7 km). The house is situated on a hill, away from the Rabenkirchen village road, on a side road with very little traffic. From the garden you have an unobstructed view over the fields to the forest. Don't be surprised if the deer come to visit!
The hilly Angeln, the region between the northern shore of the Schlei and the Baltic Sea, is a true holiday paradise. If you want to hike, swim, sail, ride or cycle, this is the place for you
The winding, small roads between the curtilages are ideal for exploring the area by bike. There are plenty of small, family-run country cafés with delicious homemade cakes where you can take a break. Our tip: Café Lindauhof on the Schlei (Lindaunis)
For children, there is the Tolkschau in Tolk, 20 minutes away, or the great barefoot park Schwackendorf, 15 minutes away. The Güderott riding school is only 10 minutes away and offers a full programme for young and old, from beginners to advanced riders
The Baltic Sea fjord Schlei can be reached in 6 minutes by car (sailing, swimming or paddling), recommendable: the smallest town in Germany, Arnis! The pretty little town of Kappeln with shopping facilities and a car-free town centre is 12 minutes away (8 km). If you like it a bit bigger: Flensburg is about 40 minutes away, and you can also make a side trip to Denmark! The sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea are 20 minutes away. In case of bad weather, we recommend a visit to the Viking Museum Haithabu near Schleswig and the State Museum Gottorf Castle
And for golfers: the 9-hole Stenerberg golf course is suitable for both beginners and advanced players and is only 2 kilometres from our house!

We too can wholeheartedly award five stars in all categories
A wonderfully spacious house, surrounded by a very well-kept farm garden and fields,
full of deer, rabbits and pheasants. No disturbing noises apart from birdsong. The interior is complete, working appliances - and you don't have to go out of your way to buy salt and pepper and coffee filters for self-catering....
