Description
You are welcome to this old, charming farmhouse by a small overgrowned yard, where you will find a nice place for sitting, dining and relaxing. Just aside the small, but well equipped kitchen - incl. microwave. In the ground-floor you also find the rustic living area.
A very characterful open staircase from the courtyard leads to the 1st floor. On half way is the first of both bedrooms with double-bed. Shower and toilet of this room are some steps upwards on the level of the 2nd bedroom. This one offers 3 single beds and it's own bathroom. Air Conditioning in both bedrooms (by coin-box system).
By a steep spiral-staircase (beware for kids!!) you come to the large roof-terrace with its magnificant views over the roofs of Victoria to the cathedral "St.George" and the new refurbished Citadelle. On this terrace you'll find sunchairs incl. umbrella and the possibility for BBQ.

Location and surroundings of object
This 400 years old farmhouse is located in a narrow alley in the old city of Victoria. All antique elements are saved, especially the beautiful arches. This characterful farmhouse is over two floors and the large, equipped roof-terrace with its phantastic views over Victoria. A charcterful old townhouse.
Restaurants and all shoppings you can reach easily by feet. Parking place you find 3min. from the house. From Victoria you will reach all objects of interest and the beach of Ramla Bay within a few minutes by rent-a-car. Victoria is the capital town of the island of Gozo. The name Victoria, locally known as Rabat, was given to the medieval town of Gozo in 1887 in honour of the famous British Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations. At the same instance, the town was also raised to the status of a city; then officially known as Citta' Victoria.
The centre of the capital city of Gozo is Pjazza Indipendenza, known as it-Tokk. The square is dominated by the Banca Giuratale, built between 1733 and 1738, formerly the seat of the municipal government of Gozo and presently of the Victoria Local Council. In the mornings, there is an open market that shares the square with several open air cafes. The magnificent Basilica is located in the centre of the old town, just off the open air market in Pjazza Indipendenza. The cobweb of narrow streets around St. George's Basilica are the oldest in town and are worth a walkaround.

Lovely relaxing holiday!
Lovely relaxing holiday
Smooth taxi transfer from airport to ferry to house and the owner, Joseph Sultana and his sister Gilbert and their uncle Michael couldn't be more helpful. The property is quirkily lovely and has all that is needed for a holiday. Quietly situated in the old part of Victoria (Rabat), yet only a minute or two away from St George's Piazza and Independenza Square. A great base from which to explore Gozo and meet the friendly, welcoming residents. We had a lovely time, thank you.

Very beautiful, individual holiday home
If you are looking for a cosily furnished holiday home in the middle of a quiet part of Victoria, this is the place for you. All the things you need are available. You can choose between shady and sunny places to sit and enjoy your time here. It's only a 5-minute walk to the central bus station, which is just ideal. You don't need a car in Gozo. It was great that enough towels were provided. The bathrooms have seen better days - but they were all very clean and that is the main thing. Very nice and helpful landlords. We would like to come back anytime!

Ideally located for exploring the island
We felt very comfortable here. Ideally close to the bus, bars, shopping...everything around the corner. The church bells ring frequently and the chickens cluck, so there is some life around, noticeable and audible. Fresh fruit and vegetables are available 100m away every morning. The transfer went smoothly with exciting insights into left-hand traffic
The only thing we didn't like were the smells from the sewage system on the ground floor. This is probably due to the local system, which is not comparable to ours.
We can gladly recommend this accommodation, a lot of space in a lovingly designed house.

Es freut mich sehr, dass Sie sich in diesem charakteristischen Farmhaus "Casa Barone" so wohlgefühlt haben! Wegen der Gerüche des Abwassersystems - wohl bei bestimmten Wetterlagen - werde ich noch mal mit dem Vermieter sprechen. Vielleicht kann er hier doch Abhilfe schaffen, wobei ich bislang hierüber keine Reklamationen hatte.

Very well equipped holiday accommodation
Everything worked out perfectly. We are thrilled with the service we received: absolute punctuality and reliability with the transfers, very well-equipped holiday accommodation, plenty of fresh bathroom linen, new soaps, kitchen with all the trimmings, friendly, humorous people, excellent location in the old town of Victoria, which in turn has a great infrastructure
As you can see, it just doesn't stop! And all this at an unbelievable price/performance ratio!!! How exactly do you do it!!? In Switzerland, it would all be inversely proportional and x times more complicated. A very big compliment to CSW. Hats off!

Enthusiastic about the service
Now we are back in the grip of our daily work routine, but we think back very fondly to the wonderful holiday.
The transfers to and from the airport went smoothly and we were all very enthusiastic about the really beautiful house "Casa Barone". The on-site support (you can really call it that) by the S family was also very good and cordial.
