Discover life on a rustic Norman estate! The setting is a 15th-century country estate with tower, manor house and outbuildings, set in 150 acres of land managed by friendly young owners. The country house, which was lovingly renovated, has a spacious terrace area and a small playground. A small rowing boat tour on the castle pond will inspire you. The beautiful beaches of the Contentin are just minutes away from this rural paradise. Activities nearby: There are many exciting impressions of country life here, both young and old - sheep, horses and all sorts of farm animals can be stroked. With a bit of luck, you might even witness the birth of a calf. Fresh eggs and other farm produce can be bought locally or at the local market. Worthwhile excursion destinations are the seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret (10 km) and the lively port of Granville. You should not miss a visit to the world-famous Mont St. Michel

The accommodation had a lot of charm, the landlords were very nice, there were many opportunities for children, the accommodation was very well equipped, the beds were very short

Warm welcome from the landlord! The accommodation is very individually and lovingly furnished, we felt very comfortable and would go on vacation there again at any time!

We had a great stay of 2 weeks in this holiday home / gite. The authentic atmosphere is an experience every day and yet you have the comfort of modern kitchen appliances and the like, although we have not used the 2 TVs, they are there ... The morning view through the patio door on the pond side is magnificent with a view on the 2 permanent residents being a bunch of swans and the castle in restoration mode. You can walk completely around the castle and the lake via a path, which gives magnificent photo opportunities. The terrace with sun loungers and picnic tables (small one for toddlers) is very comfortable especially because of the large parasol .... The landlords are very nice and leave you in peace, but are there if you have any questions. free-range pig Simon who is very happy with it, he tastes very good but okay it is also a pig and not the lord of the castle. All in all, this holiday home is highly recommended and Cotentin / Normandy is also a beautiful area to discover full of historical and scenic experiences and a multi-day visit to the landing beaches is of course a very impressive experience and an experience that you will always remember. We have not used the upper floor but it is really large with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and a beautiful beamwork appearance just like downstairs. We will certainly return here in a few years, if only to see the progress of the restorations.

Gite was as described and with a very friendly owner. Cozy decor, we only used the ground floor because we were 2 people and had enough space there, large bedroom. Nice to walk around the grounds and see that the castle and other buildings are being renovated. Still a lot of work to do. We had a great time there.

Lovely place, spacious house, a bit dark. Lots of space and reasonable privacy outside. A little more outdoor chairs would be useful, but we spent a wonderful two weeks. The castle and grounds are otherwise amazing.

Our evenings are very pleasant. This is a special experience with the rest of our history and jolie. We appreciate the hospitality of our guests and their hospitality, the gîte characteristics, the atmosphere (notamment of Simon, Dagobert and Odin), and our visit guide to the chateau! Près Saint-Lô-d'Ourville de nombreux sites et activities peuvent être entrepris. Nous reviews et recommandons vivement ce gîte!
